My hair color was a train wreck, and I really wanted to go out for my birthday that night feeling confident with a new, bold look. I am ABSOLUTELY THRILLED to say that Master Stylist Vivian, Lily, Anthony and Danielle all made my dream a reality. The photos show the absolutely CRAZY transformation of my hair under these skilled stylists. Instead of wanting to put a bag over my head, I am over the moon when I look in a mirror now. Vivian has been doing hair since the 1980s, and she is truly a GENIUS. She was careful, ensuring that the bleach did not fry my hair, and she had the best ideas. It was a long process, of course, but worth all of the hours in her chair. If you need a hair miracle or a color correction like I did, I HIGHLY recommend Vivian and her team at Salon Arcaro without any hesitation. She KNOWS her trade, and she's TRULY a Master of hair ‼

I've gone there for 5+ years and never a bad experience. I'm not sure why I didn't write a rave review for Salon de la Vie before but I know why I am now. Another client told me about an outrageous customer who insulted the staff with totally disrespectful language in front of other customers then posted to Yelp. Hair can be emotional but so is making your livelihood by building an amazing business through positive word of mouth. This one 2nd hand review speaks to service that is the opposite of all that I have seen from Angie or the team. IF Angie were ever slightly rude, it must have taken a ton of abuse to provoke it. I'm not sure why someone would go somewhere they thought was overpriced to get a haircut they did not like 3x, before losing one's cool on the fourth. But the story made me think of this amazing article that I read called "Maybe You Get Bad Customer Service Because You Are a Bad Customer" by Matt Walsh. https://www.huffingtonpost.com/matt-walsh/bad-customer-service_b_3799574.html In this 'customer is always right" world, perhaps the problem is that there are too many "no star" customers.

To be fair, I made a mistake and thought my appointment was at 9:30 when it was actually at 9:00. When Cheron called me at 9:10 I immediately apologized and even offered twice to reschedule if that was easier. Instead she just asked for my ETA in an irritated tone and said she'd see me soon. From the minute I got there the whole appointment felt tense. I asked for a simple trim, some face framing pieces, and something low maintenance since I don't spend a lot of time styling my hair. It didn't feel like a difficult request but I felt like my preferences were an inconvenience. Even the shampoo was so rough it was uncomfortable instead of relaxing. The haircut itself turned out nice but what really shocked me was the finish. I paid $150 and expected at least a basic styling. Instead, my hair was blow dried with her fingers... no round brush, no comb, no straightener, no curls. Nothing. I genuinely couldn't believe that was the finished result. I'm happy I ended up with a decent haircut but the overall experience felt uncomfortable from start to finish and nowhere near the level of service I expected.

Owned by two awesome young women, Kaylan and Heather, who always make sure their customers are completely satisfied, Crabapple Hair Studio manages to keep its prices very reasonable considering its proximity to downtown Roswell. A basic women's wash and cut is $25, and the salon often runs Groupons so that first-time customers can get their cut for free. That's an incredible deal! The salon itself has four chairs and a small waiting area. The floor is hardwood and I've never seen the stylists' work stations looking less than immaculate. All the clients I see leaving look terrific and have satisfied smiles on their faces to boot. I've seen Heather multiple times now for both cuts and color, and I have never left unhappy. She takes special care to explain the process, making sure that I know what she's doing so I can easily recreate looks at home. Not only that, she is a genuinely sweet person who makes you feel comfortable. When you're in her chair, it's like you're visiting with a friend capable of making you look and feel fabulous.
