Another client told me about an outrageous customer who insulted the staff with totally disrespectful language in front of other customers then posted to Yelp. Hair can be emotional but so is making your livelihood by building an amazing business through positive word of mouth. This one 2nd hand review speaks to service that is the opposite of all that I have seen from Angie or the team. IF Angie were ever slightly rude, it must have taken a ton of abuse to provoke it. I'm not sure why someone would go somewhere they thought was overpriced to get a haircut they did not like 3x, before losing one's cool on the fourth. Owned by two awesome young women, Kaylan and Heather, who always make sure their customers are completely satisfied, Crabapple Hair Studio manages to keep its prices very reasonable considering its proximity to downtown Roswell. A basic women's wash and cut is $25, and the salon often runs Groupons so that first-time customers can get their cut for free. That's an incredible deal! The salon itself has four chairs and a small waiting area. The floor is hardwood and I've never seen the stylists' work stations looking less than immaculate. All the clients I see leaving look terrific and have satisfied smiles on their faces to boot. I've seen Heather multiple times now for both cuts and color, and I have never left unhappy. She takes special care to explain the process, making sure that I know what she's doing so I can easily recreate looks at home. Not only that, she is a genuinely sweet person who makes you feel comfortable. When you're in her chair, it's like you're visiting with a friend capable of making you look and feel fabulous. I called on Friday and they were able to get us in the following day. We were early when we arrived, so we walked into the Ace Hardware to look around for few minutes. A young man that works at the Ace Hardware asked if he could help us with anything, I mentioned we were looking around until it was our time to go get a haircut next door. He was so friendly and said "oh! Emily cuts my hair and she does a great job. They are all so nice over there". We went over to the salon and was still a little early. I really enjoyed my conversation with Emily and how much effort she put in to not just making me happy with my hair but giving us an overall great experience in the salon. She is young and vibrant and has such a fantastic outlook on life, and had the professionalism and skills of a well seasoned stylist. My daughter has talked non stop about how much she loves her hair and what a great time she had. Steven and Emily really made our day. While we were finishing up another client was brought in by her husband and daughter. She was a more mature woman in a wheel chair who had recently had a stroke. Her daughter told me she was a client before the stroke and how thankful she was that the stylist was still so wonderful with her mother and took care of her hair. As I waited for my daughter to finish up I sat and watched the other clients leave so satisfied and happy with their hair and also how the stylists interacted with them and were also proud of their work. If you're looking for a great vibe, in a beautiful clean salon with smiling people making great effort to provide good services to their clients, this is your place. I ended up having to redo my own hair. When I called, the manager offered a retouch or $25 credit, but we had an event and couldn't return. She also said our hair required hot tools, which I've never been told despite getting many blowouts at other salons. I asked for a partial refund instead and was declined. I expected a much better result and resolution and was quite disappointed with the service.
