Good food, never open..Friendly people. It's a food truck. Would be great if they were more mobile.

You need to try this bbq! But, I really shouldn't tell you that, because then they will run out more often! This place is amazing! Not many places do you find parked a truck, backed up to a building that is converted to open seating. You walk up, order, the super friendly lady, who happens to be the owner/wife, greats you pleasantly. She is so kind. Always offers an apology if she is super busy and it takes a bit longer for your order. I never mind, glad they are a local business doing well! They have the most amazing sliced brisket, pulled pork, burnt ends. But for me, the sides are just as important. All of their sides are amazing in my opinion. I can't ever decide, so I end up with potato salad, beans, and macaroni and cheese. Seriously, you can't go wrong, unless you just don't order any! They also have wonderful bbq sauce, their regular and spicy, or 'Dawg' sauce is so flavorful! They have canned soda and water. She is always great to ask if you need paper plates and utensils. I have sent all my family here, and they keep going back. They love it! So, give Jo-Bawbs a try...you won't be disappointed!

A hidden gem in the OKC area. Portions are large and every bite is exquisite. Staff was super friendly. Food is ordered from the truck but there's an area to sit and take your time to enjoy the real showstopper. I got the combo sandwich with Mac n Cheese, and a 1/2 lb of their burnt ends. The sandwich was a true 2-hander. I brought some burnt ends home and the Mrs almost ate them all before I could tell her where I got them! Highly recommend this place. I'm a fan.

Awesome bbq!!! Ribs are perfect, flavor is on point. The burnt ends is just amazing. Their spicy BBQ sauce has a nice kick. The potato salad is delicious.

Everyone knows you upgrade a baked potato by adding "fixins." Butter, cheese, sour cream, etc., but sometimes you want more decadence than mere dairy. Sometimes you want a loaded BBQ baked potato, and that's when you want brisket in your spud. You could make your own, or you could get brisket where the locals go. In the case of Northwest OKC, Jo-Bawb's is a winner. It is a truck + trailer. The lady working the counter is pleasant; she is withstanding the Oklahoma midday summer heat/humidity combo like a champ. She takes, processes, and completes your order professionally in mere minutes. She wishes you well. You may eat on-site thanks to Jo-Bawb's covered and air-conditioned enclosure. You may also takeaway and eat at a time & place of your choosing. Order before noon (if not day(s) ahead) because they will run out of meat. Multiple times, I have attempted to purchase their burnt ends but they had already sold out. The locals love these burnt ends. You don't have to eat Jo-Bawb's brisket inside a baked potato, but if you're considering, rest assured it is delicious.

Jo-Bawb's is one of the best spots in Oklahoma for BBQ. They have burnt ends on the menu (it's not your traditional sauced up KC style) and they are always amazing. They are tender morsels of brisket heaven dunk them in a bit of sauce and you are in for a real treat. I've eaten them on several occasions and every time they are perfect. They serve up your traditional bbq fare of meats and sides, no fancy gimmicks just good ol' well executed BBQ. You can easily add on a couple of ribs to any meal and they are excellent. The sides are traditional potato salad, bbq beans, slaw, and the mac and cheese topped with bacon. Each plate comes with some bread, pickles, and sauce. The prices are fantastic and the quality is exceptional. The hours are limited, so get here early and order up! Bring your appetite and fill up! To top it all off, the husband and wife combo are two of the most sweetest and friendly people on earth. If you are in Oklahoma and really want to see what BBQ is really all about, give Jo-Bawb's a try. They really give you the full experience of the roots of bbq by just serving up food that is simple yet perfect. I love this place and I'm always craving the burnt ends!

Since I missed out on the ribs and burnt ends last night, I had to go back and try them. I loved the ribs and the burnt ends were the best I've had. The brisket is still the star - and the number of 1st Place trophies for brisket seemed to agree - but everything I've tried has been excellent. The pork ribs are cooked just right. They're tender and have that slight pull from the bone. The rub isn't as prominent as it is with the brisket, but they have a good flavor with a mild pecan smoke. I didn't try them with sauce, but they don't need any. I was a little surprised when the burnt ends came with sauce already on them. I told them it was OK, but they brought me another whole deal without sauce to try. These are good people. The ends aren't overly burnt, and the fat is rendered nicely so they are tender and juicy with a buttery taste. The sauce actually worked well on the burnt ends, but it does mask the smoke. It was mid-afternoon, so I had the opportunity to visit with the Mitchells for a while. Just super-nice people who put a lot of thought into their BBQ. I really enjoyed the conversation, and their trophy room is impressive. ------------------- Let me say a couple things upfront so I can get to my rant. First, Jo-Bawb's makes some of THE BEST sliced brisket I've ever had. I actually can't say I've had any better, but I hate to rely on my memory when making such a definitive statement. Second, anyone who puts sauce on Jo-Bawb's brisket should have their head (or tastebuds) examined. Which leads me to my rant: I am the president of the Good BBQ Needs No Sauce Society. Don't fool yourself into thinking that makes me anti-sauce. Au contraire, a good sauce enhances the meat; it never takes away from it. That is especially true with spicy BBQ sauces. I generally ask for the fatty part of the brisket because the lean is usually a little dry. Not this brisket. It is moist and so tender that it nearly falls apart when you pick up a slice. It's got a wonderful salty rub on the edges and a nice amount of smoke. I ate the first slice driving in my car. When I got home, I decided to try Jo-Bawb's sauces, both of the sweetish variety: a mild and a spicy they call Hair of the Dog. Sometimes, spicy isn't really spicy. Their mild has a little heat to it, but not a lot. The Hair of the Dog brings the heat in spades. Neither sauce is bad, but the Hair of the Dog, in particular, totally eclipses the meat. You can't even taste it because the heat is for just for heat. In no way does it augment the brisket. Even the mild distracts. As a control, I tried a bite with the bottle of Head Country in the fridge. No. Any sauce takes away from what is already perfect. They had just run out of ribs - and sold the last of the burnt ends a few hours earlier - so I also got a quarter pound of pulled pork. It was just as juicy and tender as the brisket. The smoke wasn't strong unless you got part of the char in the bite. That takes it up a couple notches in flavor. The pulled pork handled the mild sauce better, but the spicy again covered up the meat. They included two slices of thick white bread. Extra kudos to them for not doing the one-sided toast you see so often in Oklahoma. There were also a few tasty pickle slices. I did find myself wishing there were a few slices of white onion, but that's probably from me growing up eating Punkin's BBQ (back when Punkin still owned it). Speaking of owners, the Mitchells seem like wonderful people; friendly as the day is long. They also get a thumbs up for loving BBQ enough to not offer chopped brisket. Oklahoma has very little BBQ worth eating. Jo-Bawb's is a rare exception, and the brisket is exceptional.

Sorry about the bite out of the sandwich. One of us couldn't wait.

I've reviewed this place before, but I couldn't get the update button to work, so, here's my new news about Jo-Bawb's. It's still one of the easiest places to get take-out BBQ in our area. I mean, it's a food truck! I love it! This time, we ordered a Pulled Pork Sandwich with BBQ Beans as a side, and a 3-Bone Rib Meal. The sandwich! Tender, easy to bite and chew, doesn't really need the BBQ Sauce that comes with it. Then, there's the ribs. The minute you put them in your mouth, you know you are going to love the experience. Again, tender, easy to bite and chew, and doesn't really need the sauce--the rub is so flavorful. Speaking of sauce, if you like spicy BBQ sauce, be sure to ask for Hare O the Dawg. My husband says it is so good! The only complaint we have is that the sides are too small. LOL! Order extra!

It's still the best barbecue in oklahoma City. The service is great. All the sides are very good. I especially love the mac and cheese.

Every time I travel a new place I am looking for a local small restaurant. Jo-Bawb's is one of them, It took me 20 min to get there, I took a combo of Brisket, burnt ends and ribs The burnt end was something special, the brisket and the ribs were very good! It seems that in the Midwest they use tomato base sauce vs North Carolina that use vinegar. Amazing people with great service Definitely I will come back

I first found out about Jo-Bawb's like... 2018 or something? I happened to be waiting at a Tractor Supply Co. to get my propane tank filled, and there was a man with a wicked handlebar mustache and a cowboy hat who was waiting with me. So we struck up a brief conversation after I noticed his trailer parked nearby, and he told me about how he's been perfecting his craft for a while. I went home and told my wife (and my brothers) that we should check out this place called Jo-Bawb's. And then proceeded to forget about it for a long time. But I did eventually get there... The menu is reasonably priced, as far as BBQ is concerned. The brisket sandwiches were good, but the burnt ends were really, really, really good. In fact, for my most recent visit, the burnt ends were downright amazing. The first time, I didn't really care for the baked beans, because the smoky flavor was super strong, but the second time, it was lighter on the smoke and quite enjoyable. The coleslaw is on the sweeter side, but the savory meats balance that out quite well. I've also tried the pulled pork, and the ribs, and the flavor is great. All the meats have the rich, buttery quality, but it's not so smoky that it hides the taste of the meat. There's depth there, unlike some BBQ where it's all smoke and no flavor. The dude definitely knows what he is doing. And they run in the same BBQ championship circuits as the Clark Crew folks (who also know about some good BBQ). Except unlike Clark Crew, Jo-Bawb's doesn't seem so intent on the "razzle dazzle" and is more about just giving you some good food, and a place to park your butt while you eat said good food. I've had a couple experiences at Jo-Bawb's now. The first time was BC-19 (Before COVID-19), and last week was my first AC-19 (After COVID-19) Jo-Bawb's meal: - BC-19 Jo-Bawb's involved a relatively long conversation with Jo-Bawb's wife. She's a sweet lady. They both are kind, gracious people, and if you choose to stay and eat on-site, they'll check in on you during your meal to make sure everything is enjoyable. My wife and I got to converse with both of them during our meal and it was really cool to hear their story. They have picnic benches set up inside a warehouse of sorts (I love the aesthetic of that warehouse; it's everything I want when I sit down for some BBQ). There's also a room where Jo-Bawb's BBQ accolades/trophies are laid out. - AC-19 Jo-Bawb's involved me making a phone call, and the man himself informed me that they were in fact open. He then asked what time I wanted to come get the food. I was in the parking lot 15 minutes later, and his wife was again, super gracious and had everything packed up neatly and ready to go. The credit card doohickey was stuck to the side of the window so that it didn't need to leave my hands (which was nice). The conversation was shorter, but I still appreciated how thoughtfully they handled the whole to-go process in this weird social-distancing season of our lives. All that said, go give Jo-Bawb's your business. They're good people, who make some of the best BBQ in town. And they've clearly put in the work to become better at what they do, which is probably because they're not from here (they're from Wyoming). It feels like a lot of the local BBQ joints started because someone smoked a brisket for a Fourth of July once, and then their neighbor was like "OMG, this is so good. You should like, totally open a restaurant."

I've been meaning to try Jo-Bawb's for awhile now and I'm sad it took this long because it's one of the best, if not the best, BBQ places in Oklahoma. Jo-Bawb's is located in a parking lot right across from Swadley's corporate office (which, I think is such a hilarious flex) and they have the best burnt ends and ribs I've had in recent memory. I've never been a BBQ rib guy, at least not any ribs I've had here in the city, so I was especially impressed with these ribs because they were incredibly moist, smoky, and flavorful. The burnt ends were also a highlight, it had a really great bark and texture. I'd recommend getting sauce on the side so you can really enjoy the meat for what it is. The brisket we ordered was a little tough, but the flavor was still great. Jo-Bawb himself was busy preparing the food so I didn't get a chance to talk with him, but he and his (I assume) wife were doing a great job getting orders out even as people started piling in 6 feet apart at a time. I had called my order in and I was in and out in record time. I'm having a hard time finding a reason not to recommend Jo-Bawb's.There's little to no wait, the owners are friendly, they give you a ton of food at a fair price, and the food itself is delicious. If you're even remotely close to Wilshire and Rockwell, check them out.

Excellent flavor on the brisket and ribs. His rub is amazing. You can really tell this man cooks his bbq with passion. I've been on the road for two weeks now from hawaii and this is the best bbq of had yet. Definitely worth the detour.

While some of the wording was different, I was able to order the exact same burger I fell in love with years ago and the flavor instantly sent me back to the first time I tried it. I ordered the MOB XL Burger Basket with Jalapenos, avocado, and loaded fries. The jalapenos here aren't just regular jalapenos. They are flavor country (also very hot). If you like spicy food, these are the best burger jalapenos in the city imo. My gf ordered the regular single with jalapenos and was annihilated by the spice. She's kind of a wimp when it comes to spice but she trucked through it because the flavors are so good. Long story short, this is still my fav burger in OKC (by a long shot). The fact that this place isn't always highly-rated in a state where people worship Whataburger and Braum's borders on absurdity. MOB is similar to Tucker's but better in every way. It absolutely annihilates S&B and the Garage in flavor. The only possible downside is if you want a tame burger, then sure this isn't the place for you. But if you are big into flavor, this place will take care of you better than your mama. Now that they have delivery options to my house, I will definitely experiment with the other menu items. A beautiful red sheen of a slight glaze on the ribs with flecks of black pepper that I could look at all day honestly. A sweet glaze that I was definitely the best rib I've had this trip. Not overpowering and chew of smoke with each bite. Such a wonderful brisket too. Spots like these always make me double take if I'm not in Texas. A wonderful pitch black bark absorbs all the smoke. A little bit on the saltier side on the initial bite, but balanced once the beef fat started flowing from between the meats. When I dived up the leftovers, I took ALL the slices from the flat. Such a meaty and beefy flat that was still juicy. So much so that I wasnt sure if it was the brisket or my drool. Between bites, I couldn't get enough of those pickles. Wonderfully vinegary and refreshing. I forgot to try the pickled onions because the cucumbers were sooooo good. I loved the flavors of the cheddar jalapeño sausage and the hot gut. The was a little bit more of a bite on the casing but tasted amazing. I'm literally sitting in my hotel right now eating it while typing this.

I've lived here for 13 years and realized I never tried "Oklahoma BBQ." After some Google searching…read moreand looking at about 10 options, I chose King's BBQ due to their mom & pop vibes and great reviews. We tried most of the meats as I got the 5 meat, my dad got the 3 meat, and my gf got the ham. We were all very impressed and are likely to return. My only minor complaint is that burnt ends were sold out by the middle of dinner. We didn't come that late or anything. The 3 and 5 meat plates are kind of hard to fill out without duplicates and without burnt ends. So it would be nice to either have more burnt ends or allow duplicates on the large meat plates. But I get why that may not happen. I had to fill my 5 meat plate with various sausage which were good but hard to eat a lot of due to how rich they are. Of course, the 5 meat plate was ridiculous to begin with so that's on me, lol. I thought the portions would be smaller, but I appreciate the generous sizing. All in all, we had a good experience.

We all had different items from Ribs, brisket sandwiches, and catfish. No one had anything bad to say. Food was excellent, service was masterful. Great place for small to large groups.
