09/2026 ribs and brisket with deviled eggs and sweet potato
Teaira J.

I love barbecue and used to love this restaurant but my food has been very disappointing the past 2 time I've been. This time my ribs and brisket were extremely dry! I've never used so much bbq sauce to try and get it down. I was looking forward to Bedlam....it might be a long time till I'm back.

This was exactly the atmosphere I was hoping for on a quick work trip. Even though I didn't have much time to explore, Bedlam BBQ delivered a great experience. The Native tribute on the exterior was meaningful and informative, a thoughtful reminder. Ordering and paying at the counter was quick and easy, and the young lady at the counter from Colorado was friendly. There was live music, so I tucked into a corner to enjoy it (great Oklahoma acoustic players). The walls were lined with a variety of art, which made dining solo feel engaging rather than lonely. I ordered the brisket, a sweet potato, and collard greens, everything was excellent, including the house BBQ sauce.

What I liked. Really friendly customer service. Love the vintage photos on the wall. The back porch and outside dinning is really, really nice. The Mac and cheese, I thought was pretty good. It's not the gooey runny Mac like at a lot of bbq places. What I didn't care for as much: The smoked ham was just ok. The pork ribs were very dry, I didn't finish them. Others at the table liked the brisket and pulled pork although I didn't finish not try it. Based on my meal alone. Would I come back. Probably not, but I would tag along with the group.

We got ribs and a chicken sandwich. Both were full of taste and there service was very personable. The atmosphere was very quiet as well. The one thing I did not like was the greens. They tasted like they had vinegar added. That's a personal thing, it's just me. Everything else was awesome!!!

The Ribs are as tough as a boot. Hostess wasn't the nicest either. Peach cobbler was good.

Plain meat, very forgettable

Seems like Bedlam has new ownership, this place has gone downhill very fast. The staff was fine but the meats lacked flavor, most of the sides were terrible. Will not be returning. Spend your hard earned $$ elsewhere.

Food and service was good. No chew on the brisket but good flavor. Sauce was ok. Something felt missing like salt or a pop of flavor. Not great but good enough to go back

My husband, our little girl dog and I decided to Bedlam BAR-B-Q for an early dinner, a little before 5 pm, this past Tuesday. When we walked in, we were greeted by the employee behind the register. The employee behind the counter told us that the outdoor seating is dog friendly. After looking over the menu board, we ended up ordering: Loaded Baked Potato, $12 prior to tax- The loaded baked potato comes with your choice of meat, I ended up picking chicken and requested that the butter, sour cream and chives be placed on the side. I also was given a free side of fresh sliced onions, a pickle spear and pepper as well. The potato already had the cheese on the potato but was only semi melted. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed with the temperature of my potato and wished it was served hot, especially since the cheese wasn't fully melted. The amount of chicken on this loaded baked potato was quite generous and was nice and tender. I shared my potato with my husband and a small amount with my little girl (just the potato part). Brisket Combo Plate, $22 prior to tax- This plate comes with 2 sides, in which my husband picked collared greens and tabouli salad. My husband always likes to choose collards greens at a barbecue place if it is on the menu. He liked it and I thought it was prepared well, not too sour and the vegetables were soft and tender. I don't normally like tabouli salad because people who prepare it usually use too much lemon juice, making it very sour. This salad though was actually just fine, but my husband didn't like it (honestly, he only picked it because he wanted to add more fiber to his meal). The brisket was tender and good but we have had better. His meal also came with onions, a pickle spear and pepper. He also had a thick slice of white bread that was toasted. -------------------------------- (Total= $36.93 after tax, prior to tip) I was actually surprised that our food was brought out about 10 minutes after we had ordered. Also the outdoor seating area is very nice. Parts of the outdoor seating is covered as well if you happen to come out here on a sunny day. I was also surprised that this restaurant only had 1 unisex restroom. The restroom had ran out of toilet paper when I had happened to use it (and believe it or not, I actually did have toilet paper in my pocket. Ever since we have been on our trip, my nose has been running so much because of how windy and dusty it has been since we have arrived. So I have been keeping toilet paper in my pocket to blow my nose... TMI, I know). But it did have soap (no paper towels since there was a hand dryer). Service was friendly and appreciated that the employee who took our order had come out later on to check out up on us if we needed anything. Overall, we weren't wowed by the food and would be open to trying another barbecue joint in OKC.

One of the highest rated restaurants in Oklahoma City, this place was a must go to for my family and I during our first visit to Oklahoma City. We were visiting OKC Zoo on our first day in OKC on a Sunday, and after the zoo, we decided to go to Bedlam BAR-B-Q for some lunch. We arrived around 2:30, and luckily, the team at Bedlam Bar-B-Q had a lot of table seating open, as their restaurant closes at 3:00 P.M on a Sunday. The restaurant was decked out in decorations for the Holiday. There was a large festive Holiday tree inside the restaurant. Current Bedlam Bar-B-Q hours are the following MONDAY - THURSDAY 10:30 ~ 9:00 FRIDAY - SATURDAY 10:30 ~ 10:00 SUNDAY 11:00 ~ 3:00 The menu had a wide range of BBQ items from smoked chicken, hot links, ham, sausage, ribs, and so much more! We had to try a lot of their food out since we were only visiting OKC for the holidays. Order placed at the register! Bedlam Burger: (100% Angus Beef with Bedlam Seasoning) with sautéed onions, cheddar cheese, and curly fries. I opted to replace the curly fries with macaroni cheese instead! $13.00 [2 Meats] Pulled Pork & Ribs: Collard Greens, Okra, Texas Toast. Kids Cheeseburger (without the cheese). It was fun hanging out in the restaurant. The wait time was not long for the food, approximately 30 minutes. I had the Bedlam burger, and it was good! The beef patty was huge! The burger was cooked perfectly, not burnt, and it was seasoned wonderfully! It had a ton of flavor! I was not the biggest fan of mac n cheese though. It was spicy, but my husband liked it! My husband enjoyed the pulled pork. It had a lot of flavors; however, the BBQ ribs though didn't have much meat to them. It was really difficult for him to eat. His favorite part of the dish was the Okra! My daughter liked the hamburger and ate all of it! Food was good, but the ambiance is awesome! I would just come back to this restaurant again to hang out! It it a great place!

2 meat combo with sides of coleslaw and corn on the cobb.

I love this place! Unassuming from the outside, but interestingly the inside is decorated in old cowboy and OSU memorabilia. I had the 2 meat combo brisket and ribs with coleslaw and corn on the cobb sides. Corn on the Cobb was perfect! but the slaw was a little dry and should have a little more dressing. Brisket, amazing and delicious. Use a fork but I loved just pulling it apart with my fingers and savoring how good it was Ribs had a really thick bark to them but they too were delicious fall off the bone, but I only have one for my midnight snack. Service was exceptional with accommodating all my questions and needs. I highly recommend you try their food at least once

Their sliced brisket is always moist and full of that wonderful, smoked flavor you expect. I also recommend their fried okra.

The place is deceptively small from the street, but has quite a lot of room and a rooftop patio. My wife had a Hudson and some cucumber salad, and I ordered the monthly roast beef special and some tomato soup. Everything was excellent. I suspect there are no bad choices here. We're looking forward to going back next time we're ripping down I-35. The dogs are, too.

The menu board had plenty of options that caught my eye, but I knew the mission when I walked through the door -- BURGER! I ordered the Oklahoma Smashie, a double smash burger with two beef patties, American cheese, grilled onions, pickles and Goose Sauce. This was a very tasty burger! The patties had those crispy edges you want from a smash burger, the cheese was melted perfectly, and the pickles and sauce pulled everything together. For my side, I went with the cucumber salad. I really wanted to like this one, but unfortunately it was the slight disappointment of the meal. It wasn't bad, it just didn't hit the same level as that burger. The Goose describes itself as a dive bar and sandwich shop, but I actually found the place pretty interesting. It has that comfortable neighborhood-joint feel -- nothing fancy, just a cool place to sit down, grab some food and enjoy lunch with a friend. Service was also excellent. The person working the counter was friendly, answered all of our questions and offered some great suggestions without rushing us. Overall: 4 's from me. The Oklahoma Smashie definitely delivered, and looking at everything else on that menu, I've already got a few reasons to come back. This one is absolutely getting a return visit!

With plenty of seating indoors and out, we had no problems finding a table to accommodate our party of three. I ordered an iced vanilla cinnamon latte that was smooth and creamy, and to go with it the raspberry almond bow croissant. First off, the bow shape is adorable! The sandwich was made with fresh bread, quality Italian meats and toppings, and had great flavor throughout. The ordering process was simple, and the food came out quickly with a buzzer system that lets you know when it's ready for pickup. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 has more to do with the dining experience than the food itself. The dining area felt pretty warm during my visit. I'm not sure if it was because of the heat outside or if the AC wasn't keeping up, but it was noticeable. There was also a fly flying around while I was eating. Another small issue was the water station. Water is self-serve, which is fine, but the cups provided are extremely small, so I found myself getting refills multiple times. The restaurant is also largely self-service, from picking up your food to cleaning up after yourself. That said, the sandwich itself was excellent. Prices are on the premium side, but honestly not out of line with what places like Subway or City Bites charge these days. The quality of the food was very good, and I'd definitely come back for another sandwich.

My mom ordered the Caesar salad without Parmesan. She said it was a little too spicy for her and didn't really taste like a traditional Caesar salad, so she probably wouldn't order it again. The soup was delicious, and the sandwich had the perfect crispy, golden crust. My only complaint was that the cheese wasn't very melty--it tasted more like processed American cheese than a gooey grilled cheese. Even so, it was still really good. The atmosphere was relaxed, the waiter was friendly and polite, and all of the staff were welcoming. They also have T-shirts for sale, which was a fun touch. I'd definitely come back!
