Bbq is judged on brisket. This place had great food, to which I would go again. The location has great parking, plenty seats and well lit restaurant. The decor fit a bbq location. Friendly service, and food was hot. No wait, order and sit or go. As far as bbq standard, there are many across the country. Pitmasters display their skill. This place blow sims bbq out of the water. They use actually smokers and know what they are doing. I would be willing to put them just under Lewis BBQ in SC and Hutchins in Texas. 8.5 out of 10. Bark was consistent, I would have liked to taste the flavor deeper into the meat, but with brisket it is a hit or miss. Great burnt pork ends, and their sides are well made.
The ambiance was clean, the service was fast, and there was no overwhelming smell of smoke clinging to our hair. We ordered lean and fatty brisket, sausage, and mac & cheese. I prefer the fatty brisket more than the lean one. It's soft and juicy. The sauces complement the meat. The mac and cheese is cheesy and al dente--the best mac and cheese I've had in a while.
Edge Craft BBQ has some of the best barbecue in Oklahoma City. I also loved the fact that they have a good variety of sides. I feel like a lot of barbecue places have good meat, but their sides are slacking. Keep it up Edge Craft!
It's been TOO long since I've been to Edge Craft Barbecue and I think since the last time a couple years ago they've only gotten better. During a morning meeting today, my coworker stated that there is no good bbq in OKC. . . I had to prove him wrong. Arriving 30 min after opening, the line was packed. Hunger and anticipation was building. Went full out and got the Texas Trinity Platter. Pound of brisket, pound of ribs, 2 sausages, 2 sides, 2 hungry stomaches. A beautiful red sheen of a slight glaze on the ribs with flecks of black pepper that I could look at all day honestly. A sweet glaze that I was definitely the best rib I've had this trip. Not overpowering and chew of smoke with each bite. Such a wonderful brisket too. Spots like these always make me double take if I'm not in Texas. A wonderful pitch black bark absorbs all the smoke. A little bit on the saltier side on the initial bite, but balanced once the beef fat started flowing from between the meats. When I dived up the leftovers, I took ALL the slices from the flat. Such a meaty and beefy flat that was still juicy. So much so that I wasnt sure if it was the brisket or my drool. Between bites, I couldn't get enough of those pickles. Wonderfully vinegary and refreshing. I forgot to try the pickled onions because the cucumbers were sooooo good. I loved the flavors of the cheddar jalapeño sausage and the hot gut. The was a little bit more of a bite on the casing but tasted amazing. I'm literally sitting in my hotel right now eating it while typing this.
Brisket and ribs had a good bark, Texas red was ground a little too fine for my liking making a sort of dry or dense sausage. Both sides were pretty good and the homemade sauces were a nice touch. Definitely would go back.
I went for Fathers Day, and got free beer before they opened! Phenomenal food, blazing speed, and unmatched Southern-style hospitality. I will absolutely be a regular here. If you haven't been yet, stop reading this and go get a plate! I got the three meat plate with tri-tip, barbecue ribs, and brisket! All were solid!
Right now this is hands down best sliced brisket in Oklahoma. This place was so good, good food, good people who appreciate BBQ, all good marks. For your side you absolutely have to get the dirty rice, I could have eaten a pot of this stuff. This location will be on my regular rotation when in the city and I highly recommend it!
Ok.. I'll be honest I'm not a huge bbq fan. Most of the time I just find the brisket to be dry, the ribs fatty, the sides underwhelming. Not so here at Edge Craft bbq. I found the brisket to be very moist. I found the pork ribs tasty And, I thought the sausage was excellent. Others at the table loved the Brussels sprouts, mac and cheese, and beans. The staff were very helpful and the facilities were clean. Would I come back ... absolutely!
Worth the wait. Absolutely delicious brisket dirty rice and cornbread pudding! Not to mention perfect fatty brisket and the best turkey I've ever had. And bonus: Big Friendly beer.
I was curious to try this place because it recently was voted one of the top 10 Texas bbq places outside of Texas. They're only opened three days a week and my friend recommended we get there 30 minutes early. I'm glad we did because when I pulled up I took one of the last 2 parking spaces inside the lot. They had a nice bench outside the building that's covered in shade which was a nice spot to wait at. It is a bit pricey so this wouldn't be an every week sort of thing for me but the food is very much worth it. I had their special of the day, beef ribs. The crust on that was just a tiny tad salty for me (I don't typically add a lot of salt to my diet though) but my friend said it was perfect for him. I also got their 2 meat with 2 sides and chose their brisket, sausage, red beans with rice (nothing super special about this side), and East Texas Tomato Salad. (The tomato salad was a special for the day and it was really good I liked the avocado and the dressing it had a lot). They had three different barbecue sauces at the table, and I really liked the OG option. Overall, their food was delicious and my friend really liked that they asked if we wanted our cut of brisket to be lean or fatty.
I dnt like barbecue and rarely to I find good side at a bbq place. But this place broke my steak of bad bbq. The jerky pork belly burnt ends was amazing, exquisite! The tomato cucumber feta was refreshing and excellent. The potato salad was another great hit, the smoked elote was another good side and it wasn't over powering. The banana pudding was good too and they serve a good amt. I do think the banana pudding would be good with wafer pieces and banana pieces. I would go back for those burnt ends or even just the sides.
They bill themselves as a central Texas style bbq. They nailed it. Had the Saturday special beef cheek. Amazing.

Hands down the best brisket in Oklahoma. They were out of ribs, but because of that I tried the smoked turkey. Holy crap! That flavor is insanely good. I might have to make that a regular order now. The brussel sprouts and mac and cheese were amazing. Don't forget to try their pickles too! Service here is 10/10! They care about everyone that walks through the door and you for sure feel that. I will keep coming back... next time with stretchy pants. The whole place has such a cool vibe from the outside seeing the pit to walking in and watching them slice each order. read more
If you want something good to eat Edge Craft Barbecue is the place to be. The ribs were tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. The barbecue sauce had the perfect balance of sweetness and spice, and the meat came right off the bone. The macaroni and cheese was creamy, cheesy, and delicious, while the red beans and rice made the perfect comforting side. The portions were generous, the food was fresh, and everything was seasoned well. This was a satisfying barbecue meal that I would definitely order again! Make sure you get there right when they open because the line can get long. read more
Amazing Barbq. Loved the chopped brisket (sliced sold out an hour after opening). Got sides of collard greens, red beans and rice - spicy! , coleslaw. Got helpings of pickles and pickled onions. No nonsense place, plenty of tables. Fast checkout from the counter. Decent prices. read more

When Daniel "BBQ Snob" Vaughn, an expert on Texas barbecue, lists your grilled fare in the Top Ten Places Outside of Texas to Eat Texas BBQ, you know it's got to be good. It goes without saying that there is not a nicer guy in the BBQ world, but nice guys won't last long if they can't master the grill, and Zach, a die-hard Okie, BRINGS IT - Central Texas-style. What is Central Texas-style? I'm glad you asked. It's a pit-style, wood-fired smoker that cooks low-and-slow with a simple seasoning of salt and pepper. Sounds simple. Wrong! I'm not going to give you a peek behind the green curtain, but there is a reason Edge Craft BBQ is only open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Quality Control. It takes DAYS of low-and-slow smoking to get these meats smoked and prepped to perfection. Now, a short run-down on what I sampled, savored and otherwise scarfed down in a ladylike fashion: Ribs: (my favorite) These were my absolute favorite meat! These had an almost tender-sweet coating that led me to the best rib experience of my 56-year lifetime. Usually, you have to saw through shoe leather to get to the ribs and then use 3' of dental floss to get them out of your teeth. These were so lovely. I dreamed about them last night, and my mouth is watering just typing these words now. Just YUM! (and no dental floss was needed) Pickles: (#2 favorite) Let's say these were NOT Aunt Bea's pickles. First, the taste is amazing and will keep you coming back for more. Then there is the crunch, but that perfect "kick" is the pickle trifecta! Yes, they make them in-house and don't sell them, or I would buy them by the gallon! Expecting ladies, beware! Potato Salad: (#3 favorite) Chunky and smooth...and is that Dijon mustard? OMG! So many flavors swirling around in this delicious concoction. Corn Casserole: (#4 favorite) This sweet side has sustenance, drizzled with honey butter, and I would wager you could propose with a platter, and a "yes" would almost be assured. Brussels Sprouts: (convert) First, I have disliked Brussels sprouts my entire life and always referred to them as Brussels "wads." However, when 98% of the people I observed ordering asked for a side of these green veggies, I had to try them--and they made a Brussels sprout lover out of me! They have a robust, almost "meaty" flavor, but they retain the individuality of a leafy, green vegetable. These are just the beginning of their sides, all made in-house. I preferred my brisket (juicy and flavorful) and pulled pork (moist and smoky) sans sauce, also made in-house. They offer banana pudding and chocolate peanut butter pie, as well as a variety of craft brews to wet your whistle. They close when they sell out, and they sell out almost every week, so go early. https://edgecraftbbq.com/ read more

Well, dang it! If I tell the truth, the line is only going to get longer.... sigh... Alright, can you imagine my dismay while in search for the best BBQ in Texas, my husband and I stumbled upon one in our very own town! Not only is the line nothing compared to most noteworthy places in Dallas and Austin, but the food is even better. We arrived at 10:35 am and were third in line. Expect a 30-45 min wait in line if you don't arrive before 11:00. We had the brisket, pastrami (Friday only), turkey, mac n cheese, Brussels sprouts, coleslaw, potato salad. We also had their daily specials of pastrami sandwich, brisket dirty rice and smoked duck confit. Yes, that's right...duck confit.... Not something I comment about a BBQ joint, but presentation was beautiful. The Mac n cheese had a crumb topping, the dirty rice had a sprinkle of green onions. The meat had a nice smoke ring. Succulent brisket and pastrami. Turkey was nice a juicy. I sensed something beer like with it. Possibly brined or basted with beer? I'm just guessing. Mac n cheese was the best we've had on our BBQ quest. Brisket dirty rice, potato salad and coleslaw were stellar. The hubby had to pause with his eyes closed after his first bite of the pastrami sandwich. He needed a moment to be alone with it. Drum roll please... in our #2 slot (Behind Franklin's in Austin). Yes! That's right! I'm saying it was better than Saltlick, Terry Blacks, Hard 8 and Goldee's. There's probably a wanted poster of me in TX now for saying that. Oh well! read more

For starters get here early! Parking is limited and the line is long. I totally don't mind because good bbq is always worth the wait. Edge craft did not disappoint. The restaurant is airy and open. It looks they had a bar at one point but is no longer open. They do serve canned beer and wine if you're looking for that but the real treat is the bbq of course. The brisket was tender and moist, the jalapeño cheddar sausage had a great kick to it, collard greens had bacon in them and were the best I've had in a long time. I wasn't overly impressed with the mac and cheese but that's ok because everything else was spot on. I can't wait to come back on a Saturday when they serve beef ribs! read more

Researching BBQ in and around Oklahoma City on my drive through, I selected Edge Craft for their brisket and 4.5 Star reviews. I'm happy I stopped in, and enjoyed great brisket and sides, thus this 5 Star reviews. I requested and received: 1 slice of thick marbled, and two slices of lean, and a corner of burnt end brisket FANTASTIC!!! I added a little freshly ground salt, and devoured everything. It didn't need any sauce, though I did try all three available on the table. Their house is meek, and the spicy is barely spicy, so that would be the way to go, if you want sauce. But, this brisket is so good, it doesn't need anything. I had excellent coleslaw, while I rated the beans as very good. Add on a local craft beer and the 12% service charge (instead of tipping), and the total was $35. I'd be a regular if I lived here. read more

What a treat and what a find...I came here for lunch off Yelp recommendations and couldn't have been more happy. We arrived a little later so they were out of a few things but that's to be expected knowing the following of this place. This was true Texas bbq down to the post oak wood used for smoking all the meats. The staff was awesome and super friendly. My food was outstanding! I had the beef brisket and something I hadn't tried before beef cheek. Along with a side of homemade potato salad and brussel sprouts. The meat was outstanding! It was tender, pull apart complete with a great smoke ring. The flavors I can't say enough about and the bbq sauce was next level. Hard to choose what I liked better the spicy or mustard based sauce because both were amazing! Being the bbq snob I am I left here 100% satisfied and so happy for the choice we made to eat here. This is a must visit place while in OKC. My recommendation would be to get here when they open and take full advantage of the full selection because once they run out for the day there is no making anymore. read more
If you've been living in OKC for the past couple years and haven't eaten at Edge Craft BBQ yet you done messed up. Perfect moist brisket, the best and smokiest turkey I've ever had in my life, tender and juicy pulled pork and fantastic hot sausage. Friendly staff and a nice open dining area with plenty to let you know this is TX BBQ(and probably the best you'll get outside the state) make for a great all around meal. Did I mention you'll be hard pressed to find a better potato salad anywhere?! The bacon and rustic mustard make it a perfect creamy bite. Top tier BBQ I've ever had in my life, and the best I've ever had outside of the state of TX. Edge Craft is putting OKC on the map! I arrived at 11:20 on a Saturday and only had to wait about 20/30 minutes! Get yourself down here stat and get you some of the best meats you'll ever eat before everyone hears the good news and the line wraps around the building! read more
In August, 2022, Daniel Vaughn of Texas Monthly Magazine saluted this as one of the three best Texas style 'cue joints in Oklahoma. Indeed. $30.96 purchased a 2 meat (brisket, jalapeno cheddar sausage), 2 side (cheese grits, okra) plate, with a banana pudding and a can of diet coke. The sausage is truly outstanding-- good snap, and just the right amount of heat. The fatty end of the brisket is classic central Texas-- moist, with well rendered fat, decent bark and pink ring. The grits are smooth and creamy, with a great cheese flavor; alas, the okra was too salty for my taste. The two sauces on the table (mustard and tomato based) were both blessed with a bit of heat. The pudding is a nice, modestly sweet finish, with great balance between the pudding, bananas and wafers. This is destination 'cue at its finest. It comes with my strongest recommendation. read more

Listen I know everyone thinks that Texas is king for bbq but let me tell you from an absolute bbq snob that has been to most of the top ten in Texas this place could easily be in that group!! The brisket was absolutely perfect, the jalapeño cheddar sausage was amazing and the ribs cooked perfectly! I got Mac n cheese and potato salad for sides both were delicious! Do not sleep on this place!! read more

Edges Craft BBQ is a rare gem in Oklahoma, offering authentic Texas-style BBQ that's hard to find around here. Their brisket is unbeatable in Oklahoma City, boasting incredible moisture, bark, and flavor. It reminds me of the legendary Franklin's BBQ and Goldee's BBQ, both of which have topped the Texas Monthly list--the Super Bowl of Texas BBQ. Plus, their collard greens and red beans & rice are fantastic. Hours are limited & there is a long wait but it's 100% worth it! Definitely a 10 out of 10! Adios Amigos read more

I really enjoyed the sliced brisket & ribs that had a smokey flavor throughout both cuts of meat. Yes it's pricey. But you pay for great bbq! You know bbq is great when you don't need any bbq sauce. I normally don't like fat but the fat because it's smoked it amazingly good. I appreciate that they have collard greens. The okra was fried to perfection! The banana pudding is great! Will eat here again. Biggest con is the pricey automatic gratuity charge. It's not like someone came around to clean the tables or refill drinks. Everything was self serve after ordering at the counter. read more

The hubs and I weren't terribly impressed. The JC chorizo was interesting in concept but not so much in reality. The brisket and ribs were tender. The sides were meh. I had the Mac and cheese which was really thick but not too cheesy in flavor? Nothing was bad but nothing was really memorable either. We are bbq Uber snobs so please try them out and not just take my word for it. read more
Quick business lunch today at Edge Craft. This was my first time here. Arrived at 10:50 for the 11 o'clock rope drop. I was around 10th in line. The line moved quickly with what seemed to be plenty of seating that was turning over at the same rate that the line moved. You walk from the order line to your table with your food, but they send someone around to clean off the table when you are done. There is no refill service, and no "wait" staff. This being said, you are charged 12% gratuity. I fundamentally disagree with this as a strategy for running a service business in the US. As for the bbq: You've got you standard 2 meat, 3 meat, and sandwich options. I had turkey, fatty brisket, and one rib. All three were good flavors. The turkey was a little dry, the rib was good, but not amazing. The brisket was money! It was moist, not too fatty, and plenty of bark flavor. I felt like all meats had a good flavor, but not the big smoke that I was expecting. The sauces were all three good, but not great. They had a house standard, hot, and mustard. The sides were excellent. I had watermelon salad and smoked elote corn. The watermelon was incredible with just the right amount of mint and jalapeño spice. The smoked corn was served in a dish and had just the right amount of pop still that it tasted fresh from the cob. I would go back with a friend if they haven't had a chance to try EC yet, but I wish that they would build the 12% gratuity that is charged into their menu price list or make it truly service based discretionary. I won't be back by my choice again until this changes. read more
