My windshield has a habit of cracking. Ok, it could be all that highway driving that I do. Something always ends up getting kicked up by the vehicles in front of me, and then BAM, it slams into the glass, and all of a sudden there's a ding, and a crack that just starts creeping across windshield. I most recently used JN Phillips for replacement. The woman on the phone who set up my appointment was extremely helpful. I only had a few days until the end of the month, and I needed to have my car inspected before then as well. And it was supposed to be raining for days, which would mean that I'd need to go to their location, since neither my house nor my office have a garage. Well, she was checking the weather for me, and set up the appointment at my home just in case it didn't rain. Luckily, it didn't, and a couple guys from their Malden location came out and fixed my car right up. They even stuck the velcro pieces from my fastlane to the edge of my rear view so I could put them back on. (Last time I had my windshield replaced, they took them with the old glass, and I had to get new ones from the fastlane folks.) I'd use them again, and knowing my car, will likely have to. read more

I parked at the Wellington Station garage in Medford overnight and when I went to pick up my car, I saw that it was broken into! Thank God I had nothing of value. But the front window on the driver's side was shattered (gone) and I needed one right away. After filing a police report, I called their main number and Anthony helped me to schedule an appointment for the next day (Saturday) in Malden. He was very patient and nice. Pattie called me early Saturday morning to schedule a 3-way call with my insurance company. That was very helpful because I was feeling terrible about this bad experience and the damage that the thieves caused and I couldn't think straight. I brought my car to the shop and it was ready within a few hours. The glass looks really good. I've been meaning to write this review because the service that I received from them was great. I had my windshield replaced in January 2012. The installer was extremely courteous and efficient. Recently I noticed a lot of water leakage on the floormats of the front and rear passenger side, and thought it may be due to a leak in the seal of the windshield. It was very easy to schedule an appt on the phone for the next day at the Malden shop. I can't say enough about the courtesy there, from the receptionist to the technician Jay! He discovered the problem wasn't the windshield at all, but poor drainage from the sunroof. He took the time to show me the problem and then gave it a temporary fix with a sealant. If that doesn't take care of it, he told me it would have to be repaired by a mechanic. After his work was done and the sealant had dried, I was so surprised to hear that there was "No Charge"! How often do we hear that when it concerns a car issue? He cared about helping me to resolve the problem. I would definitely recommend JN Phillips, and especially Jay at the Malden shop for any work in the future. read more

I chose to use JN Phillips Auto Glass for glass replacement recently. My repair was done by a tech by the name of Jamie. I have to say he was the most professional and knowledgeable tech I have ever dealt with having my windshield replaced. He got the job done on time and was perfect. Upon my inspection I could not tell that the car had ever been touched never mind had the windshield replaced. I'd give no stars if possible. I hire them to replace window damaged on truck they come out to replace and brake cable to door so have to order part and come back he tells me it won't take no time to replace maybe 30min. I schedule another appointment now missing more time from work that I'm not getting paid for for something they did. An hr goes by on attempt to replace part and tech still hasn't figured it out he's just guessing on what to do. I say put back together I'll have a shop do work I'll get quote. I have busy schedule so took me at least 6 weeks till I have time to even go get a quote. I call them back the branch manager says he will have check made out to shop. I said not sure when I can get done I can't miss more time from work on your guys error I want check in my name to deposit in savings so when I have time I can do I'm not chasing you for money or holding on to a check that expires in 90 days and I may not be able to even do in that time frame. I call office and lady said I'll make check out to you I just need to sign wavier, then two min later I get call she can't do. I get call from her boss he said they don't write checks to shop ever or people so in matter of 3 people I've gotten 3 different stories. He tells me I can call back in 6 months or up to a yr to get them to pay for it I don't need to worry about it he's not going anywhere. I explained to them they damaged my vehicle I'm not chasing you for money in 6 months by then who's to say you work here. There's no reason if they did damage they can' write check to me to get fixed at my convenience and not have to chase them down road for. I said can't lose more time from work I'm not renting a car so have to transfer all my tools and supply's to do my job to a rental car then transferring everything back into my car after it's fixed that's more waisted time I shouldn't have to spend when they caused the damage. Bottom line they should do what works best for customers car they damaged. They tell me all this is in your warranty packet should be in red folder you got from your repair I said I've yet to see a single piece of paper from you guys. Brought car in with shattered sunroof (Eastern Ave, Malden location) They were super nice, and the service man vacuumed and wrapped it for free even though they knew I needed to go to auto body for repair and they would not make a dime off me. Good customer service goes a long way because I will use them anytime I need service in the future. read more

Brace yourself for a customer service rant only because I want to make sure no one I care about uses this business. I am a procrastinator and needed my windshield repaired so I could get an inspection sticker so I called JN Phillips and set up an appointment to have them come fix it at my office. 5PM rolls around and I realize I never heard from them so I call to follow up. Guy tells me they have no record of my appointment. I say that if that's how they do business I'll go elsewhere so mid sentence he hangs up on me. Whatever. So I go outside and the chip has grown into a ginormous crack. I am thinking maybe it's the heat? So I call another place. They set me up and tell me that there is already a claim filed with my insurance by the other place, but they can change it easily. No record my ass. So I get off the phone and I'm like pissed. And bored in traffic so I call JN Phillips back. The new guy looks up my account and tells me that they had in fact tried to fix the windshield, broke it more so cancelled the order because it was now a replacement. Um what? They didn't bother to call me and say "your windshield is REALLY broken now" then tell me I never had an appointment. Moral of this story friends, never use JN Phillips for your auto glass needs.
