Since the source wasn't obvious (potentially an ice dam, roof issue, etc.), I really appreciated how quickly and thoroughly they assessed the situation. They were able to identify both how far the water had spread inside and pinpoint the exact source of entry from outside. Once the issue was identified, they moved fast to fix it properly. After repairing the exterior source, they took extra precautions inside, treating the affected area to prevent any potential mold, installing new insulation, replacing the ceiling and smoothing everything out, and finishing with a clean paint job. You'd never know there had been an issue as it was repaired well. Jean, in particular, was fantastic to work with. He was very accommodating to my schedule, acted with urgency throughout the entire process, and made a stressful situation feel manageable. Well, the plumber and tile guy were one and the same and the day they were starting the tile, they opened up a brand new tile cutter out of the box and started reading the instructions. They used a piece of cardboard as a spacer, so as soon as it got wet, the spacing started to get funky. I also laid out a mock-up on my kitchen table of how each row of tile was to line up that they completely disregarded after the first wall was done. I came home for lunch one day and they had installed the bullnose upside down! They also used the wrong blade for the tile cutter because all the cut edges are raggedy. I'm going to have to pay someone to redo most of it one day, which will involve me replacing the expensive Italian tiles. Aside from the horrible tile work, the window casing looks like it was put together with scraps of trim and they painted everything with a roller and didn't full nail holes before doing so. They also damaged the new tub when installing the drain and damaged some tiles installing some fixtures. The drain line to the sink was installed too high, so until we can get a plumber to come in and repair it, we had to bend the metal and tape it all together temporarily just to get the drain to open and close all the way. Finally, we keep finding set screws on the floor and fixtures keep coming apart (faucet handles will come off in your hand, towel bars come loose from the wall, etc). I never pick the cheapest contractor but Luis and Antonio assured me I'd be pleased with the final product. It looks like I did it myself and I am not handy!

The rep carefully documented every single one of my needs/preferences and quickly turned around a draft 3D rendering of the proposed siding, which allowed me to visualize the project and modify things that didn't quite suit the house, etc. Later the rendering served as an invaluable reference for tracking progress towards accurate installation of the siding and trim. Once we launched the project, the team started a group chat, including the entire core team (BD, project manager, and the owner), so everyone was always in the loop on the project at all times. If I had *any* questions, they responded immediately, even on the weekend. In my experience, this level of transparency and accessibility is unheard of in construction projects like this. The owner, Yuk, is absolutely outstanding, a paragon of business owner excellence who clearly values client satisfaction.
