I was craving a bbq stuffed potato and googled locations that were opened late. I saw that JMAC was opened until 9:30 so with it being a short distance from my home, I went. I arrived and saw a sign on the door advertising karaoke night on Saturdays. As I entered, it was a large and bright area with tables and shockingly lots of people from different age groups. I walked to the counter and waited but no one was there. I was soon greeted by a woman who walked up and took my order for a chopped brisket potato. As I waited, karaoke began and an older woman sang an Elvis tune. I received my order which came with jalapeños, bbq sauce, butter and cheese. I wish that I'd gotten more bbq sauce but overall it met my craving.I'd return but would try something different. read more

First time to order and after delivery, (I live 2 minutes away) the food was cold. The baked potato was obviously reheated from the day before. You can see by the color. The brisket and sausage were barely warm and not seasoned. Very bland and disappointing. The potato salad was okay. Dont think we will give this another try. The service is absolutely great. I have never felt so welcomed at a restaurant. We did not stand in a line and make our order at the counter and pay. The owner took our order at the table. He brought a pitcher of tea to the table because he noticed we had our own stevia and he did not want to mess up our ratio by topping us off before we were ready. We paid after the meal, owner said I don't like to drop off tickets I feel like it makes ppl feel like it's time to go now. I want my customers to stay as long as they want. So when they are ready to go they can come up and pay. Food was great as well. The brisket was very tender, ribs really did just fall off the bone and the sauce was very good. We also had the kickers, bacon wrapped cream cheese & brisket stuffed jalapeños, they were great!! read more

The customer service was very good. We got the turkey leg because it was recommended to us, but unfortunately we didn't like it very much. We're not the biggest fan of turkey but we gave it a shot anyways. To people that like turkey I feel like it would be very good! read more

Tried for the first time and I liked it overall. The people were very friendly! The meats are good. The core of the food is good but the other "stuff" needs a little help. We got the pork nachos, loaded brisket potato, and mac & cheese. The nachos needed more meat and potato was over cooked but yet not very hot. I would like to see them do something different. It's SO HARD to find a great, smoke-free, family-oriented, karaoke place until you stumble upon JMAC's. They host a family atmosphere of fun karaoke, every other week. But, get there early because they close at 10 pm... just in time to tuck those kiddos into bed! The wait staff treats you like family from the second you walk in. And, you feel the "home-style" spirit the entire time you are there. The singers are encouraged and yelped for regardless of talent... another SUPER STAR quality of this place. Jimmy, the cool owner, walks around the place just to visit and joke around with his guests. I heard someone say tonight, "This place just feels like home!" If you aren't a singer, come for the food. And, if you don't buy an order of the Brisket Kickers, well, sorry to be you!!! Those things are RIDICULOUSLY good. I think our table ate 4 or 5 orders, alone. The salsa is made in-house and has an awesome kick that will make you go back chip after chip. If you love karaoke, this is a great, family place. While you're singing, you will see precious kiddos dancing in front of you. The food is delish. The staff is top-notch. And, it's an all-around great place to frequent. First off the service was GREAT! But as far as smoked meat/bbq....there was a lot to be desired. No smoke ring or flavor on any of the meats we ordered...brisket, ribs, and chicken! There was no trace of any rub on the meats...needed salt and sauce badly which is why we probably won't try them again. Sides appeared to be out of a can but weren't bad. The way the brisket was sliced was unorthodox compared to most bbq joints we've been to...also it was tough. The sauce was ok. I have to reiterate, their customer service was too notch and the inside of the restaurant was VERY clean! Hope this helps ya'll read more

Got the loaded nachos, could barley finish them. Had the smoked turkey on the nachos it was delicious. Service was prompt and friendly.

JMAC BACKYARD BBQ is a new restaurant in Crowley. customers are treated like family. The options to choose from are wonderful. Not only for adults but for kids too. The prices are reasonable for families with large numbers. I could not ask for a better barbecue place to sit down and enjoy. The sides and the desserts are to die for. The thing about JMAC is everybody that walks In the door are treated as if they are wanted there and to me that means more and then some corporate named business. Best Smoked Turkey leg I've ever had! I tried the once and now I got to get them at least once a week. Great locally owned and operated BBQ restaurant. My husband loves the brisket and nachos. My daughter loves the loaded Texas size baked potato. My son says it has the best macaroni and cheese ever. And oh let's not forget the Chewy huge hbrownies omg! Very friendly and family atmosphere! I highly recommend dining in or taking out. Super nice people. Interior is bigger and nicely decorated. We stopped in around 2-3 and they were out of baked potatoes and few other things a BBQ place would normally have. It was a Friday and I thought they might be in trouble if they had run out already before Friday night dinner time hours. Prices aren't great, food was good though. Very friendly staff. I had been looking forward to trying this place. Downtown spot, smoker trailer out back. Got a three meat plate. Sliced brisket, ribs, sausage. Opened the container to find all three meats piled together in a lake of bbq sauce and bbq sauce poured over the top. That's a red flag in the bbq world, covering something up. The "brisket" was the color gray, I've never seen that. Which means it was from the day before. Dry, chewy and just awful. Impossible to eat because of the connective tissue. The chef should be embarrassed to even serve that. Hands down absolutely the worst "brisket" I have ever seen. Ribs seemed okay but hard to tell since they were submerged in bbq sauce. No seasoning on anything, no salt, no pepper. The sausage was good. But there is no doubt it was store bought hot links's. Potato salad was also store bought. I really have no clue how you have a smoker trailer that awesome but serve brisket like that. read more

Worst bbq I have ever had . The ribs had no flavor at all . My wife had pulled pork sandwich tasted horrible. The side weren't great at all. Someone need to teach the pit master how to do bbq . Will never come back read more
