    Cheeseburger Combo
    Alex W.

I've had their cheese burger and their bacon burger, and both are amazing. The bread is surprisingly light, although at first sight looks like a huge bun, and has a very buttery taste. The hamburger patty itself is juicy and very flavorful without tasting like seasoning, so I assume that it is just very tasty beef. The fries are super crunchy, which is my favorite style for fries. When we've eaten there, there's always a crowd dinning in as well as people pick up takeout, but still you'll get your order in about 20 mins on a busy day

I really wanted to love this place, people seem to like it, but I probably won't go back. They have various locations and this one was just a bit dowdy and depressing. In terms of the food, it was flavorful and they served nice crispy french fries. The burger was very juicy, but it desperately needed to be wrapped in grease paper before being given to a client because it was a good size and trying to hold that soft bun with a double patty resulted in a total mess, with much of it just falling apart and dropping into the plastic basket it was served in. There are no napkins on the table, you have to go to the counter to get them--with a really juicy burger, which it is, you have no idea how many napkins you're going to need and we kept having to go back for more. I needed a proper knife to cut my burger in half to manage it, but realized that the plastic stuff upfront wouldn't do the job. Irritating. The double cheeseburger tasted good, but it was a total mess to eat, a hassle and I'm not sure it's worth it. Desperately needed is a tight wrap so that it can be managed more easily. Fix that and I might go back.

    Half-pound burgers with homemade buns!!
    Angela L.

The burgers are gigantic! Love the well-seasoned burgers and homemade buns that had to be created to cover the half-pound beef burger!. The fries are yummy, too! We had to come back here a second time before we fly back home, but this time I ordered the kids burger and it was still a big burger! The service was pretty fast. It's a little hole-in-the -wall, but it's clean and most importantly the restrooms are clean. I had the fish n chips the first time I came here a few days ago and they were delicious!! We'll Be back!! Could you pls come to Orlando, FL?

    Buffalo chicken sandwich
    Luna Q.

I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich(meal). It has bacon, ranch, tarot tots. There's no way anyone can finish this. No way!!! As I'm eating this halfway my yoga pants started to roll down. Bun is a bit overpowering but don't think chicken and other ingredients are not enough. For $18 I would definitely share this big sandwich.

Fish Sandwich (Cajun style) with side of tator tots

I originally came for the burgers, but unexpectedly stayed for the fish sandwiches! The burgers are tasty, but the fish sandwiches are incredible. You choose between London style (flour-battered) or Cajun style (cornmeal, which is my preference), and get an enormous portion of perfectly fried fish on a well buttered bun with a side of tartar sauce. They do not skimp on size or flavor here. There's a good variety of sides and dessert options, but the entrees still shine. I've noticed the service is kind of inconsistent, but ranges from just okay to excellent. Ambiance is fine - typical diner vibes, generally clean, nothing special. Plenty of parking since it shares the vicinity with a Walmart. The menu is large, which can be a bit daunting. I tend to be wary of quality when restaurants offer large menus, but I've come here on several occasions with different people and everything I've tried so far has been delicious. - Ambiance: 3/5 - Food: 5/5 - Service: 4.5/5

Really a very good Double Hamburger Combo

Really a delicious hamburger, the attention and the place are good. The ditas oreo cookies are delicious!!!

First, I purposely waited until the lunch crowd was gone to stop in. This place is crowded most of the time and I wanted to take pictures, so I waited... Lol. Little by little I'm going to work my way through the menu. It's so many burgers, pita sandwiches, fish and chips, cajun wings, desserts and more. There's a burger with beef and chicken together on one patty. The BBQ burger looks tasty! But I had the cajun wings back in June and loved love. The wings were very crispy and it came with two slices of Texas toast and fries. While having the wings, I saw this oversized burger at the next table and I said that would be next on my list. So, today I got the JLB Burger, it too was good and tasty, but I needed a little more cheese which was added once I came home. I'll be back for the Fish and Chips, that's next on my list. But, little me tell you about this cute place, it's very relaxed, the people who eat here for lunch or the crowd that takes up the space the whole weekend are so friendly, neighborhood people shooting the breeze as well as the people who work behind the counter are just as friendly. I like it here!

The sweet potato fries and burger were pretty great, but the steak fries were inedible. They were wayyyy too salty and even trying to prevent the wasting of food and $, I tried to eat more but couldn't

    Crazy Burger with tots
    Brett N.

Why 5 stars? Because this was pretty much everything I hoped it would be. --- --- --- I came across JLB recently and couldn't get the photos of the burgers out of my mind. They looked incredibly appealing, with the buns glistening in such a way that I could hear them chanting my name as I laid my head down on the pillow at night. I shared the Yelp listing with my wife and she did not need much convincing. Off we went. I had hyped these burgers up in my mind pretty substantially, so it's remarkable that they ended up exceeding expectations. The buns were among the best I've ever had -- they looked just like they tasted (buttery), but without being heavy. They did fall apart a bit on my wife's burger, which was cut in half for sharing, but they held up pretty good on mine. The size of these burgers was crazy, but they went down a lot easier than the initial glance led us to believe. The patties were really wide, but not necessarily thick, which made them easier to house. I ordered the BBQ burger and my wife went with the Crazy burger. I loved both, but thought the BBQ was a tad better. If you're interested in the Crazy, but not a big fan of Thousand Island dressing, don't let that deter you, because it's barely detectable. Next time, I will try the Joy Love Burger itself, but wasn't feeling the idea of a burger mixed with chicken. I think the ideal order here might be a BBQ burger with double meat. The fries were also great, and the kids grilled cheese was ideal for our 4-year old. The only knock I would say on this experience is that the girl taking our order definitely did not seem to be in a great mood. Sometimes life sucks, but there's something to be said for even offering half a smile when in a customer service position. The only thing that will hold us back from being regulars here is that we don't live super close, but I definitely would like to keep this on the shortlist when we are in Tomball!

    Double cheeseburger with fries.
    Ron F.

Well another local win. Had a double cheeseburger combo. Don't came with fries and a drink. WOW. The burger was huge and hand pressed! The fries were hot and crisp. The bun had the texture of a croissant and very fresh. Loved the whole meal. I honestly couldn't finish the burger or fries. Just too much food for $18. Come hungry if you get the double! I usually get a double burger but the next time only a single will be plenty! I would get extra cheese next time as well. I just love a lot of cheese on my burgers. Service was quick and very friendly. Nice little place with about 12 tables. I really enjoyed the meal. I'll be back.

Picture next to soda cans for size comparison... The burgers are huge!!!
    Marie B.

Ordered to-go on a midweek evening after work... Just had a random hankering for a good burger and fries. And, JLB did not disappoint!!! They customized our orders perfectly, and everything tasted fresh & delicious! Pictures don't do their burgers justice. Each one is enormous, loaded with toppings, and the patties are juicy and packed with flavor without being greasy. It's the perfect old-fashioned style burger.... Ready to try their other variations! Definitely found a new favorite burger joint!

    Do they deliver?

You can get some menu items delivered via Uber Eats and Postmates.

    Is this place BYOB?

    No.

Do they have gluten-free options? How extensive are they?

I'm not sure about the Gluten free but they definitely give you MORE than what you pay for which is why I am a repeat customer!!!

    Do they have veggie burgers?

No they do not. I imagine if you want all veggie they could make that happe. However the only veggies they have (judging by what's on the menu) are: lettuce, onion, tomato, avocado, jalepenos, and pico de gallo.

I've had sandwiches in NYC and Boston, but Tony's were definitely better! The menu is overwhelming because so much sounds good, so we went with two 7 inch sandwiches to split--one hot and one cold. Although a helpful tip from the cashier is that you can order any cold sandwich hot. We had the Lucky Luciano (hot) and the Sophia (cold). Both were really good--it was hard to choose between the two. But if I'm being honest, that cold sandwich was reminiscent of subs I loved in the early 2000s from places that no longer exist...with that super thinly sliced turkey, thick slice of Swiss cheese, and basil mayo--it really hit the spot. We also had a cannolo--not as good as others I've had. The bottled root beer was delightful. The Lucky Luciano was the kind of sandwich I came here for, and don't get me wrong, it is deliciously cheesy and will make your hands messy. But the Sophia is the kind of sandwich I'll be craving. My only regret was not taking a sandwich to-go for later. Open a location closer to Houston, please. :)

They are a pepsi place (booooooo!), and there's no diet pepsi (pepsi zero is their only zero calorie soda option). If you drink Diet Coke (most popular diet drink in USA), then you don't want diet pepsi, but you'll probably drink it if you have to; however, you're very likely to hate pepsi zero (and Coke Zero, too), so no soda for you here anymore! A full Coke setup that also includes Dr Pepper AND Diet Dr Pepper is ideal. I realize a pepsi fountain is more profitable because of distributor incentives, but pepsi is favored by almost nobody and hated by many...so is it really worth it? Tony's is so great that pepsi just does not fit in. Hopefully they don't deteriorate further and change to Wonderbread for all of their sandwiches. Bottom line: at the very least, please add diet pepsi to your soda machine if that brand remains in place.

The hot dogs would make my rating a 4 but the cake slice + cake shake bumps my review up to a solid 5! I wasn't expecting the shake to be that good -- it was loaded with pieces of cake in every sip. The chocolate cake itself was moist, airy, and rich without being overly sweet. It had the perfect balance between cake and frosting. I'll definitely be back and making this a regular treat.

Just been so busy but finally got time to go and try. I will say that I wasn't impressed overall. But I also knew I was going for a hotdog and my friends were gonna order a broiled chicken sandwich. First from outside the bldg looks nice and modern and has a diner vibe. Inside looks diner/retro sorta and plenty of seats inside and outside. Overall appearance looks good. Staff friendly and welcoming and helpful with our questions since first time visitors. My main issue is they are pretty much à la carte. But do have a few combos on a center menu bar. but it didn't list all items or show all items available in combo form. I asked cashier if I had to order each item separate and she said yes. So my hotdog was $3.89, reg fries $2.99 and drink $2.49 so a total of $9.37 before taxes and the broiled chicken sandwich $7.19 so a total of $12.67 ea. Total for all 3 was $37.57 The hotdog had no size choices meaning regular or 100% beef frank or larger size. So the hotdog I got was a regular sized hotdog and the bun and toppings were bigger in size and portion then hotdog. The broiled chicken looks like a half of piece of a chicken patty, very small for the price. Way smaller than other fast food places like a chic-fil-a, Whataburger or Popeyes. The fries were actually really good but I wanted onion rings so when I asked the cashier if they were real onions cut up and battered or even pre frozen but real onion rings and not fake onions rings like BK she said no they are not real onion rings so I passed on ordering them. Once we went to the drink station they were out of sweet tea, and didn't have lids to fit the cups they gave us. I got a soda and then when I picked up our food I saw a drink station for drive thru and asked cashier if she could give me a sweet tea and she did but it didn't taste good at all so I decided to drink the root beer I originally poured. Trash bins were full, my table was clean but the seat I had to wipe down crumbs before sitting down. They had a lot of workers behind the counter not sure why there wasn't one or two in dining room cleaning and taking trash out and restocking drink station. Over all the hotdog did taste ok, but as a comparison the Chicago dog I use to get at James Coney Island with the option to upgrade to a beef frank is way better overall. They really should add an option to upgrade to a bigger dog. The chicken sandwich overall tasted good but very small and over priced. Due to portion size and higher prices compared to what you can get at other fast food places with larger portions I probably won't return.

Because 10 minutes later the guy looked at me and apologized and said that it should be out in 3 minutes. Another 10 minutes later and still nothing. I was pretty annoyed at this point because how long does it take to throw some veggies together on a sand which!! I think he noticed at this point so he apologized to me again and said " I just told them to make it". At this point I was super annoyed, but I just waited. Meanwhile I waited I also noticed other customers had walked in and ordered a handful of desserts and it looked like they had to go back up to the counter because they were missing some of their order. I finally got my sandwich and left because it honestly seems like a cluster fuck. Thankfully the sandwhich was amazing. The mango dessert was, eh. Especially for the price point. I really don't like leaving negative reviews, but I felt this place was really deserving of one. Customer service was not there- he was not very friendly.
