A huge portion worth trying! I really appreciate the fact that the meat was a thin yet well portioned amount. I cut mine in half to enjoy each savory bite. Seasoned well and fried to perfection. I was looking for a new burger place, and luckily I found this place. I came with my two little kids and they ordered the kids burgers with onion rings and sweet potato fries. I ordered the double cheeseburger and waffle fries. This burger was so big and so juicy it was bigger than I imagined and I was only able to finish half of it. My boyfriend and I first discovered JLB at their Katy location. Ever since, we've never had a bad experience. I am not as much of a burger person as my boyfriend, but I will say this place puts me in a burger mood. So much flavor in all the meals we've tried and such big portions. My go to is their Buffalo ranch chicken sandwich (the tator tots inside are bomb!) and their curly fries are a must. Dine in has been open for a while, but employees continue to wear masks and keep the place clean. Their places are always packing with business so sometimes there is a wait but it's definitely worth it read more

The service was fast and friendly. The food was very fresh. Probably the softest hamburger bun I have ever had, if I had any complaints I would say it needed a little more cheese; however it was still delicious. The prices are a little higher than your average hamburger place; but that seems fitting for the size hamburger you get. The restaurant itself was smaller but very clean and inviting. I've eaten at almost every burger joint within a 10 mile radius from this place and this is the best one. I have bought burgers here multiple times and they are always good. They have never made a mistake on my order, either. The meat, bun and vegetables are almost always fresh. The meat is not preformed frozen patties; instead they look hand pressed and they are nicely seasoned. The burgers are quite large and I actually make two meals out of one burger. If you get a burger here and it's not enough food for one person, then you have an eating problem. ;) No, really though. You do. Stop eating and go to the gym. read more

After trying their other 3 locations on memorial, FM529 and Mason road, I had to try out this location and sure enough, the quality of food and service was consistent. I went around 1pm and the restaurant was fairly full. However, the line was moving fast and orders were coming out, one after the other. As I had tried most of their burgers and sandwiches, this time I decided to upsize the patty and try the double meat hamburger combo. It was a whopping size burger, with meat on every angle/corner. Somehow I was able to hold the burger together and bite into it. Despite my repeated attempts, I wasn't able to prevent the patties from falling out of burger. It was so much meat in it. The burger itself was absolutely delicious. They always stack their meat on top of the veggies, unlike the traditional style of where the veggies are put on top of the patties. The French fries were golden brown, crunchy, and seasoned to perfection. I had an ice tea with my order and there was plenty of it. They also have opened their latest location on Barker Cypress by 290 and that's next on my agenda. I wish them much success in the future. read more

Feels like a family owned business which I love supporting! Burgers are massive! I order the bacon cheeseburger and it was awesome, I'm not a big bun fan...but the homemade buns here were delicious!! Certified angus beef if you're a meat snob! Only thing I didn't like was the fact the lettuce was shredded, it falls everywhere when you pick it up! The menu has lots of options if you don't want a juicy burger, there were wraps offered on the menu too. The fries, and tots met the crispy and crunch factor too!! This place always hits the spot! The burgers are HUGE and juicy without being soggy. My favorite is their double cheeseburger. I've never been disappointed with their food! You will leave full and happy! I live close to another JLB but they're nowhere close to being as good as this location. Honestly, I feel like this place is way overpriced. I got a combo for $11 and substituted fries to curly for $3 more and to add chili cheese was $2 on top of that.. thought it was a bit excessive. So heads up, don't substitute. The burger was good but the patties were thin and crispy on edges. Not really my style. Also the double cheeseburger has double cheese but you could barely notice. Fries are good and the hot wings are huge. I noticed the one thing they do is dash seasoning salt on the burgers after they've been cooked and although my son likes that I'm not too fond of it. I prefer my seasoning cooked in the meat not an afterthought. I may or may not go back. They have a pork chop sandwich I want to try. May be worth it because menu does look great! read more

Bomb.com!!!!! This place was a pleasant surprise! The honored the 6ft CDC guidelines. The establishment is cute. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed our delicious lunch. I got the bacon avocado burger and it was PERFECT! Wow that bacon was literally perfectly crisped. My cousin got the pork chop burger and I got to taste it--- oh my goodness!!! Why did no one tell me! It's a LARGE sandwich. See photo. The kids loved the mini corn dogs BUT there was nothing mini about them. They were HUGE! About 6 weeks ago, I had the pleasure of eating at the Katy location of Joy Love. While it's a very small restaurant both the menu and food were big in satisfaction. Last week, I visited this location for lunch which is closer to where I live. First of all, this restaurant is much larger with seating for about 50 people sitting at round tables seating 4 each. Located in a large shopping center, parking is easy. I ordered the Angus burger combo that comes with fries and a drink for $9.69 with tax. They also agreed to grill my onions at no extra charge which is a plus. The food came out in about 10 minutes as it's cooked to order. When looking at the burger the first thing that jumps out at you is that beautiful house made bun. Dark in color with a shiny top it is gorgeous. Inside is a 1/2 lb. angus patty that is all you want for. Nicely dressed it was a pleasure to eat. This is a quality hamburger that will fill you up. My only slight complaint is that beautiful bun is just a little too bready for me. Not thick in texture but a little thicker in depth on the bottom half than I prefer. However it is a big burger so you decide. Don't get me wrong, I really liked the burger overall and will order it again. The generous serving of fries are frozen but some of the better frozen ones I have had. They have skin on them and are seasoned. Served hot, I enjoyed them. This is a seriously good quality angus burger with good fries at a low cost. The only reason I don't give a 5 is because of the bun thickness and lack of homemade fries. Currently Yelp is averaging 4.5 stars here and I think that's about right. I will be back to eat it again and try other good looking menu items. I understand that Joy Love is getting ready to open their third location somewhere on FM 1960. It will be a success and I hope they open more. read more

I have a confession. I am a sixth generation, proud Texan. But if I want a burger, I don't chose Whataburger. I choose JLB! The bun is buttery soft and the meat has just the right amount of seasoning. The fries are tasty too! Every non-burger item on the menu is delicious too, but it sure is hard to pass up the burger. Friendly and attentive staff every time I've been to JLB! read more

The size of these burgers are #GIGANTIC!!! (Oh, I forgot to mention delish) Ordered a Double-Burger and could only eat half of it. Also had some Chili-Cheese Fries, which weren't spectacular, but were satisfying. (Nacho cheese sauce is NOT my preference for these) Overall, everyone enjoyed their food. Kids loved the wings. Wife loved the Shrimp Quesadilla. Can't wait to try some of those Fried Oreos! Yep, they have those on the menu!!! read more

I came to this new Korean-owned mini Houston area chain, on a night when the Astros were playing Game 3 of the World Series. There were a lot of customers surprisingly, and maybe they didn't prepare that the night would be so busy because service was painstakingly slow just to receive your order. We tried a few items on the menu, the bacon avocado burger, beef quesadillas and fried shrimp plate. I only really liked the burger, but I assumed that was going to be the case from the start. The quesadillas were made with cheddar and tasted weird. The shrimp were just not very good either. Most customers seemed to order the burger, and for good reason. It's a good sized burger as far as width and overall height including the bun. The homemade bun and patty are shaped like an oval so it's just wide and seems bigger than it is. I'd say the patty was only about 1/3 lb, since it was pretty thin. The patty is fresh beef, and seasoned well....so they have that going for them. The iceberg lettuce and tomato are pretty standard. There was a generous amount of avocado on the burger though. I believe the cheese was American, since I forgot to switch to cheddar. They gave me fries by accident, since they don't normally come with the burgers, unless you order a combo. The burger was seasoned well, but I don't see myself coming to this burger spot on a regular basis. I think it will do well since it's still a tasty product. Even if the location is just downright terrible. read more

Never heard of this place before a couple months ago but I finally found it when I was searching up burger places, first impression was a tiny restaurant in Walmart's parking lot so wasn't expecting much but I was wrong. The burgers are huge! Everything is juicy and has a lot of flavor, the crazy burger is my favorite. Also I love their fries and the seasoning on them. Never really had any issues with a long wait or anything coming out bad expect one time I got it and it was bland, other than that this place is a must go for burgers. read more

So this restaurant is fine and all. Food was okay. Fries are left to be desired. But not bad. It's really expensive. But what I have the most issue with: I got a cup of water and noticed some white pieces floating in it. Went and told the younger girl with glasses about it and she said she'd never seen it before and would look into it. For the remainder of the meal she didn't look into it. So when I was finished eating I looked at the Pepsi I was drinking (back off I ate clean all day) and noticed more floaty stuff in my drink. I presumed it was from the ice? Brought it up to her attention again and she still looked like she didn't care and said "she'd look into it". Now, with the prices they were charging if I found little pieces in my drinks I would comp the drinks immediately. Or offer some sort of "oh my I am so sorry let me grab the manager." She just didn't care. Not at all. So with the small bits of plastic I drank with my mea I won't be back. And if you do go, ask if it's fixed. No one wants that in their drinks. read more

A bit out of the way, tucked in at the end of a strep center. This one is worth searching for. Don't let the price scare you off, $13 for a burger seems like a lot, but it is worth it. So a few things to mention 1. Go very hungry. 2. Don't wear a white shirt or anything that will show how messy you are. 3. Get lots of napkins. Pro tip: order the kids combo it is plenty. Or plan on sharing the full size burger. Ok, enough with the basics. Food is fresh cooked on in house baked rolls. The fixens are fresh cut and tasty. The high price comes from the fact that they use angus beef and the portion size is huge. I got the "crazy" burger and could not finish it. The cheese fries are good although they use canned cheese the Chile under it makes up for it. Staff is friendly and the dining's really is clean. FIRST: make it big ($2), then add sweet and hot peppers ($1.98), mozz cheese ($.89), and ordered slightly wet. For my sides, I opted for the large onion rings ($4.99), and in addition --- this is A LOT -- I got the famous Chocolate Cake Shake (additional $6.19). These treats are absolutely beautiful and almost too cute to disturb. Taste-wise, though... this is where they lost us a little. The texture of the lemon just wasn't quite for me personally. The gelato treat was adorable, but it was so frozen that getting through all of its layers and really enjoying the flavors together was a bit difficult. The dot cake was probably our winner of the day and the one we enjoyed most. Overall, I'm still glad we stopped in and gave the viral treats a try. The cafe was cute, the presentation was beautiful, and the people were genuinely lovely it just turned out that the desserts we chose were more of a "fun to experience once" than a "we need to come back for these immediately" situation for us. I think we'll file Cafe Ninda under experiment accomplished

As Murphy's Law would have it, I get a serious client on the NW side of town. Being from Sugarland, anything north of I-10 seems a No Man's Land to me. Famished bc I just worked with a client on death, and I am geographically out of my element, I had to use Yelp and Waze, to Joy Love Burger. I suppose the name is the exact contradiction I wanted. Waze told me to turn freaking left at a Walmart??! I only had an idea this is a Korean-owned place. It was a weekday, lunch-ish time. I walked in and was stunned. Everyone was VERY large and very working class. Also, I was the only Asian. Customers averaged a minimum of 40#+ overwt. That usually makes me head out the door without trying the place. (Since my non-Texas years, I've been allaying corporatized food cravings by saying to myself, "Open the door. Look at the clientele. Lose your craving!") Even though I was in yoga clothes, I was the dressed up person in the room. Seriously. The whole room turned to look at me, and for freakin quite a while. I got self conscious about doing a u-turn in front of everyone after the likely revealing shock on my face at the sight of them. I was wholly unprepared that I would even need a poker-face play option. Good thing I stayed. I always triple my patties when I can, but I only saw a double patty option. There might have been a triple patty option, but I was in a rush to leave the stares and repeating glances. The burger was HUGE! Even without doubling the patty. It was delicious too! Densely seasoned. Texture was not cheap/fluffed w lesser ingredients. Taste was flavorful. Bread was curiously perfect; Fluffy, buttery, gentle sweetness --and maintained its form despite the juicy, heavy patties and burger accoutrements. That bun is a physics marvel! I never like cheese on my red meats. There was a small bit between the patties, so I'm guessing they laid one in, out of habit, then took off what they could. (There are a few things I am naturally kosher about, but never things I'm religiously kosher about.) The burger was so tasty that I finished it, even though it was ginormous! I had to pack my waffle fries for later. EXCELLENT crispness, with the right balance of interior potato density and softness. Needless to say that was my meal for the day. However, I'm certain that it was likely a two-day caloric splurge. Service: Staff was cool with each other and cool with all us clientele. Reflects very well on the behind-the-scenes workings of the business. Friendly, courteous, almost family-like. Very pleasant staff. I didn't realize the up-charge for the waffle fries, but the cashier was very relaxed on remedying my situ. Ambiance: CLEAN. The tables and chairs are diner style. Retro-ish. I want to return! I ordered a cheeseburger and chili/cheese fries from here on December 2. After eating the burger my stomach started hurting immediately. I didn't think much of it until 4 am the next morning.
