I walked into this place on a whim and was not disappointed. Jim and Julie the owners were there works harder then any owners I've seen work. They were so patient and extremely friendly, wonderful people. The food was delicious! My husband said it was the best Gyro he has had in a while and we actually go often to a Gyro place closer to our house in Goodyear. My chicken Greek salad was delicious. The chicken was full of flavor! If I had one complaint I would say I like like my fry's to be thinner. But that's not a complaint just a personal preference. I work nearby and have always driven by this place and never stopped by. A few weeks ago I was really craving a Gyro. I was amazed at how good the Gyro was. First Time here. Got the Chicken Kabob Plate $9. Not bad it comes with Chicken, yellow rice which is delicious, a side salad and pita bread. The chicken has a lot of seasoning so there's a lot of flavor going on there. WIth a drink it came to about $11. Not bad for real food compared to fast food which is about the same price. I ordered my food to go and the guy actually came over and handed the food to me. Nice hole in the wall Greek/Mediterranean place for Lunch if you work in the area. This was such a great find! We happened to see the sign for this place after batting practice and we're so glad we stopped. It caught our eye because we call our daughter JJ. The owners are so incredibly kind and customer service orientated. We had gyros and salads. The gyro meat is sliced thin and is so good and the pitas are perfect. We've been here twice and the second time going in was just as good as the first. The owner remembered my daughter and was asking her about softball and her favorite players. From the second you walk into JJ's Gyros you're greeted not just verbally but also aromatically and of course with a smile. I've been in a good few times now on lunch breaks and even on my days off just because if I'm really in a mood for my type of comfort food or even Mediterranean food to be more specific I know that I'm going to JJ's. I've sampled their gyros and they are superb to say the very least, the meat is moist and succulent, the pita is a perfect mix of soft and cloudy to warm and toasty, the veggies on it are always crisp and fresh, and the tatziki sauce which I might add is made in store is downright heavenly! I could honestly drink it with a straw it's so great! I've also helped myself to their shwarmas a few times and honestly I don't know which I enjoy more, their gyros or shwarmas. Every time I get a shwarma it's comparable to a symphony of flavor in my mouth the spices and seasoning is so on point plus this crisp snap of the veggies and cooling essence of the tatziki is all so perfectly harmonious. Also i just want to note that in all my time going there I have never had a rotten or dying vegetable or bitten into a gamy chewy piece of meat. As for sides I've only ever gotten fries which are always crispy and perfectly golden brown and the "JJ's fries" which are typical French fries but covered in tatziki with crumbled feta cheese on top and may I just say they are absolutely to die for! I don't doubt anything that they have to offer and I honestly will make a point to try everything on the menu. I personally love JJ's and everything about it and I would highly recommend it to anybody seeking a delicious bite to eat that's both filling and an amazing bang for your buck. read more

I have been stopping in to JJ's for a couple years now during my lunch breaks and have never once left disappointed. The atmosphere is very calming. I don't think I have ever even seen a scrap of trash of dirt anywhere. The entire staff always has a smile and are very polite. Now to the food. I am very picky when it comes to Gyros and they hands down have the best in Arizona. Nobody else even comes close to the flavor of the lamb and the balance of the sauce. Anything I have tried on the menu has always come out fresh and flavorful. I wish more restaurants could focus on the quality of the food and service just as much as JJ's. She has even given me a tour of the kitchen and I can't believe how clean it is and how much pride of ownership she has in her restaurant.
