We walked in during the Friday lunch rush and the place was packed! We did find an open booth and were sat immediately. Service was very responsive and friendly. The food was all very good, reasonable priced (even before the crazy discount) and fresh. I opted for the JJ's chicken wrap and a side of Mac and cheese, both were delicious! I also shared a cheese fry appetizer. Huge portion of fries and smothered with cheese!! Way too much food for sure!! My friend opted for the club sandwich which was huge as well! Go where the locals go! JJ's is a casual pub atmosphere with excellent food, friendly and fast service, and have their own local brews in addition to full drink menu. Know it's always a super BUSY place after work hours, and they have live music 6-8p on weekdays, plus a weekend music hours too. So be prepared to wait for table, bar stool or parking spot during peak hours. My second time here, ordered the chicken ranch club and side dinner salad. Sandwich was made 'edwin' style, chicken breast coated and fried with Buffalo sauce - tender and flavorful! Served on Texas toast with jalapeño jack cheese, crisp bacon and condiments red onions, tomato and special ranch sauce. Don't count calories on this sandwich or share it if you prefer a smaller portion size. They also have plenty of apps, burgers and more! I also enjoyed a JJ's IPA, hoppy and smooth! This was a cool spot to visit. A very laid back bar with neat little trinkets around the walls. There was a DJ on the night that we went, and they were having a Halloween costume contest. Staff was nice and were all dressed up in their Halloween costumes. We ordered the buffalo chicken dip and fried banana peppers which were pretty good. The dip was good, but nothing special. I ordered the pineapple chicken wrap with sweet potato fries. The wrap was fantastic! It was juicy and the flavors of the pineapple with the chicken were very unique but tasty! The real disappointment was the service. Our waitress felt her time was better spent congregating with all the other waitress at the corner of the bar rather than tending to the patrons assigned to her. There were a few waitresses busting tail, but not many. Just flew in from Birmingham and checked into my hotel and was starving. This place was walking distance close so I gave it a try. It's in a strip mall area and from the outside it looks closed. No light coming out the doors (they are covered up). But dang I was starving so I walked up and pulled on the doors. Welcome to the dark bar world of JJ's Grill. Very typical wood bar, floor, tables and chairs. Grabbed my usual travel seat (at the bar) and ordered a beer. Place had a friendly local vibe, TV's on sports and music overhead. I guess I just missed the live act as they have a stage and she was sitting 2 seats down from me at the bar and everyone was telling her what a great job she did. So check Yes to live music I guess. The best surprise was the Pineapple chicken wrap! Wow it was hot & delicious. Grilled Asian chicken, juicy grilled pineapple, lettuce, red onion, roasted red peppers, Avocado and sesame lime dressing. Loved loved loved it! I was in Rogers for a business trip and I stopped by here to get something to-go, but the atmosphere made me wish I could have stayed longer. I decided to go with a sandwich called "The Leftovers" and I got fried mushrooms as a side. The sandwich was AMAZING and the fried mushrooms are probably the best I've ever had at any restaurant. I'm going to take a vacation in Rogers literally just so I can hit this place up again. It was amazing. The staff was all so friendly. I didn't stay long enough to determine if it was a new bartender or a new manager who clocked in and decided to change all of the TVs in the bar to a volleyball game. A few other patrons along with myself voiced our concerns with some hoots and hollers nothing crazy but she decided to approach me specifically with whatever attitude that she felt necessary because she came at me very aggressively and then demanded to me that that's not how we should voice our opinions etc. So I proceeded tell her that it was OK you do whatever you want to do after I sat there and listen to her bitch to me like I was in the wrong whenever it was not just me but other patrons voicing our concerns. At the end of the day I've been there for hours I have had zero problems I've had zero concerns until this new blonde curly haired individual decided to come out to me and act like we had no business complaining about her changing the game from the army Navy football game to a volleyball game. It is a little sad that when the weather is good you have 30 year olds outside that feel like they have to almost scream while talking to others at their table profanity with every sentence. We really love their outside area especially with the fans and shade that we can not enjoy it because of the loud profanity. The great thing is when they left one of them stopped and apologized for his friends. JJ's needs to control this a little more for people to enjoy a little more. Really love this place the the food and ambiance but the cussing is a little much even for me a old construction worker. Back again out on the back poach great experience this time. I can't say enough great things about this place. Food, drinks, prices, service; all of it's great! They have specials for both drinks and food for each day of the week. I came here on a Monday so I took advantage of the $5 Moscow or Kentucky Mule (went with Kentucky) and the Sriracha Burger (think it was about $8 or so). My burger and fries were bomb! I'm not sure if all of their burgers are this way but I was surprised the hamburger bun appeared to be from one of those bargain bags of buns from a grocery store. Nonetheless it was still great, but a nice brioche bun or something more upscale would make it even better! They also have a lot of great craft beers on tap, including some local gems. I'm from California and visited here a couple times, and would definitely stop in again if I'm ever out that way again. The first time I went in pretty late at night so it was practically empty, but the second time was completely different; packed with lots of people. This was a swinging hot spot when I was there on a Wednesday evening as there was a good band playing cover songs. Parking was an issue due to the crowd and it being a shared parking lot with the rest of the strip mall stores). I was able to snag a seat at the bar with my friend (after asking some people to scoot down as that the seats were together) and enjoy a local beer on tap although should have enjoyed one of the brews from JJ's! I did sample their grapefruit beer and while tart and a bit bitter, was pretty good. I had the fish tacos and friend the fish sandwich and both were good. A step up from typical bar food and it was served petty quickly, especially considering the crowd they had. The bar tender was friendly as were the fellow "bar flies". To be honest, jj is way better than a 2 but my experince with the waitress and then manager on this visit went real south real quick. It was almost written in the stars that this visit was going to be different. I commented to my wife about the waitress, she's tall, all legs and my wife said, yes but ill bet short on brains. Invited to join some people for an after work outing. At 5pm the place was busy for a Thursday night. Luckily folks had gotten there early and secured seating. They have a happy hour until 6pm for beers and well drinks. We had multiple appetizers were were all large enough to share. The nachos were good. I ordered a special 5 wings and tenders in BBQ sauce. Nothing special. Actually the Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce must have been cold when they put it on the wings. The wings were barely warm. What a great venue. We were in Bentonville for a softball tournament- games ran long so our only criteria were: open late and some live music. JJ's hit it out of the park on both! First the food was absolute fabulous. We started with the wings - BBQ and Buffalo- preferred the BBQ. But the entrees - were amazing. Our family ordered all three of the fish tacos; cod, Mahi, and the shrimp. All were delish- and the sides were just as good. The Cole slaw (and I am freak for good slaw) was one of my favorites. Although- the fried banana peppers stole the show. Why haven't I ever seen these before?? They were amazing. To top it all off - the music! Snap for Sinners was playing. A bass, guitar and violin/fiddle. Love them. What great talent and energy. Came here last Friday night to have dinner with my husband and kid. This place was recommended to me by my friend. We arrived around 6:15pm. It was already pretty crowded, but we didn't have to wait too long - around 10 minutes. The hostesses were very nice. Our waiter name was Anne and she was very friendly and helpful. She let us order our child's entrée right away since she was hungry. Kids eat FREE everyday, all day - as long as an adult orders an entrée. Our little one loved the mac n cheese - she is 18 months old. Food: For my food I ordered the Veggie burger which was really good. I had fried jalapenos on the side and loved them! Love me some spicy! My husband ordered the Fried Egg Burger and he liked it as well. They have live music there, but we weren't there too late, so we didn't get to experience that. I agree with John's thorough review much more than the others. NW AR is chain land, and boasts very few originals that are worth visiting. Yes, JJ's is more of a bar atmosphere than a restaurant in the evenings, but still not inappropriate for families - just crowded and loud. And I LIKE it! I go here for a beer selection, food selection, and pretty darned good quality food, and I don't think that it's over-rated. I like the selection of apps, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, and several great entrees - my hubby is hooked on the catfish, which is the best I've had locally. The sides are all homemade - chips, fries, onion rings, and especially the mac-n-cheese and roadhouse spuds. Service has always been good on my frequent visits, and the managers go out of their way to see that guests are accomodated and happy. Drink selection is good, and prices are reasonable - you can certainly pay far more in the area, and typically have to go to some very smoky dive bars to get much better. No thanks. Only negative - they are going to quit opening on Sundays in order to have their NFL crowd (and TV fees, undoubtedly) only at the newer, larger Fayetteville location. read more

Great service. I've had Tuesday, Allison, and Anne waiting on me, and they've all been delightful. Can't ask for a warmer welcome. Cool ambience. Good country on the speakers, but not too loud you can't hear yourself speak. That is, of course, only when a game isn't on. The dozen plus TVs will have something for everyone. Speaking of something for everyone - the menu is better than most bar food. The burgers are huge, buffalo poppers great, and while the pretzels get inedible 5 minutes after serving, the cheeseburger quesadilla is a great late night bite - oh yes, the kitchen is open until midnight. For someone who frequently works way too late for his own good, that is key. This is just a good all-around sports bar with probably the latest real kitchen open in the Rogers area. I'll be back, and if you're in the area and looking for a relaxing place to have a good bite and some good drinks, you should make a stop as well. read more
