When I heard Moksa and Hawks were teaming up, I was beyond excited. Moksa already makes some of the best beer around, and Hawks has long been one of my favorite restaurants in the Sacramento/Placer area. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect since Hawks is known for its elevated dining experience, but they absolutely knocked it out of the park. The food is delicious , the portions are generous, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality you're getting. Pair that with Moksa's incredible beer selection, plus wine and canned cocktails, and there's something for everyone. They also do fun events like trivia and music bingo, which gives you another reason to keep coming back. Whether you're grabbing a beer, meeting friends for dinner, or making a night of it, this place delivers every time. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You'll be glad you did

My local family members said that this place is about the chicken tenders and fries! Did not try or photograph the chicken tenders but will give them a try the next time! For me, I got the double smash sans cheese called the Double Juicy and it was fantastic! The savory garlic aioli and carmelized onions was yum! The garlic truffle fries were also a good choice. It is a little disorganized as they have the complimentary water way in the back near the entrance/exit. The cups are by the pickup area and they are either available or you have to flag someone to get one. Overall 4 stars. We would eat here again when visiting Roseville!

I enjoyed my burger and fries. It was a good deal as a lunch menu item, which is offered until 3 p.m. The fish tacos were decent (maybe a little on the bland side) but still a nice option to have. The wings were dry, which our kid said isn't usually the norm since they order them regularly, but the mac 'n cheese balls were a hit, as usual. Service here is friendly, and the hostesses were warm and welcoming when we first walked in. Our server, Jessica B., was friendly and accommodating, offered solid recommendations, and checked in with us frequently without being overbearing. Our biggest bone to pick, though, was with the chairs in the outdoor seating area. All three of us were uncomfortable and hurting after a relatively short amount of time. I'd definitely recommend grabbing a booth inside, and that's what we'll likely do.

We let him know it was our first time there, and he made us feel welcome. I got the cheeseburger and really enjoyed it. I especially liked the Hawaiian roll bun. I was worried it might be overwhelmingly sweet, but it wasn't at all. The sweet pickles were also a nice touch. My husband got the Swole' Chick breakfast burrito, which has a whopping 80g of protein! He enjoyed it, although it wasn't his favorite thing we ordered. The fries, though--SO good. The regular fries were crispy, stood up instead of being limp or soggy, and had the perfect amount of salt. We also tried the chili cheese fries and those were bomb! I thought the prices were very reasonable for the portions and quality. The cheeseburger was $11.99, the Swole' Chick was $14.99, regular fries were $3.99, and the chili cheese fries were $7.49. We definitely got a good amount of food for what we paid. There's plenty of seating inside and a bar at the front. My only real complaint was the fountain drinks. They don't carry Coke or Pepsi products and instead have RC Cola, which I had never tried before. I'd heard it was supposed to taste similar to Coke or Pepsi, but to me it oddly tasted more like root beer. The diet Dr Pepper was also out--it came out extremely light brown and mostly water. The ice machine also ran out of ice while we were there, but when we mentioned it to Joe, he immediately came over and refilled it, which I appreciated. Overall, we had a good first experience. The food was really good, prices were reasonable, and Joe was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The fountain drink situation could definitely use some improvement, but the food--especially those fries--would bring us back!

I ordered the Western Burger…read moreand decided to make it a double because apparently one patty just wasn't enough for me that day, lol. It came loaded with Tillamook cheddar, crispy bacon, onion rings, mayo, and their gourmet BBQ sauce. The burger was juicy, cheesy, smoky, and slightly sweet without the BBQ sauce overpowering everything else. Adding that second patty made it a beast of a burger! It was way too much for me to finish in one sitting, but that worked out perfectly because it became two meals and how the heck was it more delicious the next day? My friend ordered the Boss Burger, which came with lettuce, tomato, bacon, onion rings, Swiss and American cheeses, and their signature sauce. He made his a double too, which turned an already fully loaded burger into something absolutely massive! Both burgers looked impressive when they arrived. By the time I barely finished my half, he was practically done with his burger... how the... well, lol, he's a man! The restaurant was crowded when we visited, and only about half of the tables were clean. However, the customer service here is always great. I also like that they keep water available on the counter so you can easily help yourself. We had a great time laughing, talking, and even chatting with other customers who shared our love for Burger & Cream. That made the experience even more enjoyable! Of course, you can't come to Burger & Cream without checking out the desserts. We chose a chocolate cookie dessert made with chocolate ice cream, took it back to my place, and shared it there. It was rich, chocolatey, and the perfect sweet ending to a fun time with my friend.

A Great Burger, a Little Nostalgia, and a 20-Minute Test of Patience…read more I've been bringing my family to this location for years--back when it was a Foster Freeze. This place has some history for me. Many a Friday night, when I was the Defensive Coordinator for Lincoln High School, I'd find myself here. And on those hot summer days, my wife and I would stop in with our son Jonathan before heading off to watch Lincoln play Nevada City. So, yes... I have a little emotional investment in this place. Fast-forward to today, and I'm happy to report that the burgers are still worth talking about. The buns were soft, the meat was flavorful, and the whole burger experience hit the spot. And, of course, my family gave the milkshakes their official seal of approval--which, in my household, is basically a Michelin star. The menu has plenty of good options, there's outdoor seating, and the staff is genuinely working hard. They're multitasking like their lives depend on it, so every once in a while you may need to repeat your order. But honestly, I'd rather see people working hard and trying to take care of everyone than standing around looking bored. Parking can be a bit challenging, too. Consider it part of the dining experience--your appetizer is finding a parking space. So why only four stars? The wait. We waited about 20 minutes for our food. It wasn't terrible, but when you're hungry enough to start considering whether ketchup packets are technically a meal, 20 minutes feels like a lifetime. That said, the food was really good, the staff was friendly, and there's a genuine sense that people are working hard to make this place successful. Bottom line: Great burgers, excellent milkshakes, a solid menu, friendly people, and a little nostalgia thrown in for free. I'd absolutely recommend giving this place a try. Just remember: bring your appetite, a little patience, and maybe say your order twice. Four stars--and I'll definitely be back.

All craft beer and I could definitely taste the quality of the brew! The staff was very friendly and the one gentleman that helped me was so great about letting me try different beers so I could pick the one I wanted to order. When you get service like that; repeat, order, enjoy. I ordered a 2nd pint mostly because I was interested in trying some more of their beers. They had great lunch specials with some diverse options that included lighter and healthier options for a very reasonable price. I ordered the Angus beef sliders, and I asked for them to be cooked, medium rare if possible. If you know sliders, you know that they are difficult to do a medium rare, but this chef came through; my sliders were a very nice medium, rare, juicy and delicious! The caramelized onion was beautiful, just very yummy. Well, darn, it got a little busy 3:00 ish and here I am writing this fabulous review and I think he forgot to bring me my 2nd pint of beer? I reminded him and he brought it right away! I don't drink beer very often anymore, but it was just that kind of day, and a cold beer sounded good. I tend to like lighter bodied craft beers with a strong ABV, but not too fruity and limited dankness. I enjoyed a pint called Flying Fortress it was a single IPA and then another called, Present Tense, = Hazy Single IPA. I would definitely recommend this place and plan to return.

I have thought about trying it for sometime, and Sunday was the day. I got my person off of his computer game and we drove down to a decently busy drive through, so we decided to go inside as we wanted to review the menu anyways. The restaurant was clean and cute, almost set up like a little diner. THIS PLACE HAS EVERYTHING. or at least every fast food type item I wanted to see on the menu. We ordered chicken strip basket, a jalapeño burger, a chocolate shake and fried zucchini. There was at least 40 other things on the menu that I wanted to order, but figured this was a solid order for our first time. There was a little confusion with the cashier over the jalapeño burger, but I refuse to dock stars for a cashier who looked like they were still in training. The important part of the mix up, was the chef came out to clarify exactly what we wanted, so it was never really a problem to begin with. That chocolate shake has been living in my head rent free ever since, because it was perfect. The jalapeño burger (we ended up with 3 patties instead of two, per the menu confusion) basically brought tears to my partners eyes because it was so perfect. And they actually season their fries!!! I would give 6 stars if I could. Don't sleep on this gem. Whether you would call it a drive in or just fast food it is AWESOME.

We stopped in later in the evening for dinner and got the mushroom cheeseburger combo ($12.99), the Pastrami Cheeseburger combo ($14.99), cheese curds ($5.99) and fried okra ($5.99). They gave us our drinks right away and they have the nice crushed ice that's like tiny pebbles. It's always a treat when a spot has this ice because it's tiny and crunchy and not offered a lot. The food didn't take too long and came out on a tray for our dine in experience. There are plenty of booths here and during our visit there were a lot of other people enjoying meals in small groups and couples. The food was hot and fresh and the fries were nicely cooked crinkle cut fries. The fried okra as good, but needed a bit more seasoning or sauce to dip (we had ranch). The cheese curds were great, hot and the cheese was perfectly melty. My husband got the mushroom cheeseburger with just mushrooms, cheese, pickles and added bacon. He said it was a good burger and satisfied his craving, but isn't something he'd specifically seek out. I got the pastrami burger with everything on it and thought it was delicious, but the pastrami was a bit overcooked and dried out so the texture was a bit hard to bite through with the burger and I found myself eating the pastrami separately from the burger. There's plenty of parking here and they have a drive through. I heard the milkshakes are great, so if we stop by again we'll try one.

It needs a sauce or mayo or maybe even some veg, the bread and meat were delish though. The burrito was the same it just lacked flavor and salt, grilling the burrito would definitely elevate it. The hot sauce was burn your mouth off hot lol. The potato salad was ok, a little on the sweet side. The fries were good. I think the prices are more than fair. I definitely want to come back and try the tacos because that seems to be a hit in the reviews.
