JJ's is easily my favorite quick meal! So much food for a decent price! On my first visit, a friendly guy greeted us asked if we first timers. He quickly went over the Mexican Mediterranean styled menu and explained the overall concept and gave some suggestions on what to choose. I never would have thought of mixing these two food types but it was delicious. I went for the Mid-East Bowl with the lentil rice. I definitely recommend getting the pulled pork! It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I chose to top it with the black beans, veggies, pico de gallo, feta, sour cream, tzatziki, and chimmichurri! You can even get a bottle of their homemade chimmichurri to take home! We got some pita chips which we were pretty crunchy. I don't know if it was a bad batch, but they didn't ruin the main meal :) The guacamole is also super delicious - definitely recommend it as a side! Head on over to JJ's! You won't be disappointed. read more

Tip - check in and Yelpers get 10% off!! JJ's Grille is a great addition to the Orlando community. It's a little bit Chipotle meets Mediterranean. I have been to JJ's a few times and every time I get something different, there are so many ways to mix it up. Their rice bowls are the way to go. I love the lentil rice. I have had their chicken, pork and steak. Their pulled pork is loaded with flavor, I highly recommend it. The J-Bouli sauce... my mouth is currently watering just thinking about it. It's so different yet so delicious. If you like a little spice make sure to ask for a side of their hotsauce, it's pretty tasty. They also have a few options of beer and wine available which is always a nice plus. Their domestic beers are pretty reasonable at $3.45 each. If you are looking for a quick eat whether its sit-in or takeout, give JJ's Grille a try. My suggestion, grab your food to go and head over to Ocean Sun Brewing for a local beer. read more

JJ's Fresh - Mexican Near Me - Orlando, Florida

JJ's is my favorite locally-owned fast casual restaurant in Orlando, hands-down. The quality of ingredients and friendliness of staff keep me coming back for more. I typically order the rice bowl with steak, guacamole, black beans, pico and lettuce, but have also tried the lentils, tabouli, feta and other toppings for a very unique Mexican-Mediterranean blend you really can't get anywhere else. Everything tastes so fresh, and the steak is just....OMG. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and beer and wines for sale! They also make their own pita chips. I love seeing local businesses like this thrive in a very competitive market like fast casual. If you like Mexican and/or Mediterranean, you must try this place out! Hopefully they will open another location soon! Enjoy! :-) read more

Was driving around the area and saw this place had good ratings. I walked in and wasn't sure what to expect since it seemed a little heavy for what I'm use to eating. We all ordered different bowls. Wow!! Very, very good! It had the perfect amount of seasoning. The service was great too. Very nice staff. Bowls we ordered: Mexican rice base, lentils, mushroom, zuchinni/eggplant, sweet potatoes, maduro, lettuce, queso, cilantro, guacamole. Another one: jasmine rice, lentils, tofu, sweet potato, mushroom, corn, sautéed onions with peppers, lettuce, cilantro, salsa, lettuce. No need for sauce actually. Both super delicious! Wish I would have taken a picture. We also ordered a dessert. I think it was Passionfruit? Delicious as well! Will recommend and will be back for sure! read more

*Sigh* Where do I begin? I really wanted to love this place. Based on my experience I can't recommend this place. The Good: the pork has good flavor. It goes well top of lentil rice with chimichurri on the side. The Bad: The homemade tortilla chips are awful. They have zero flavor. Same goes for the queso dip. It doesn't taste cheesy, it's not smooth, and it has a curdled appearance and mouthfeel. Pass on both. Trust me. My ordering process had a few unwelcome surprises. I ordered a regular side of queso and they charged me for and gave me a large. I didn't realize it until I saw my receipt afterwards. I was unaware there was a large size. I wouldn't have minded the extra cost so much if it was any good. I also ordered a Redd's Ale. Redd's is a domestic beer, but I was charged the import price. I brought it to the attention of a manager. He said they charge more because Redd's is a pricier beer. If that's the case, they need to inform their customers as they order. Either that or post individual prices for each beer. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth (no pun intended). I doubt I'll be back. read more

Let me start by saying I'm mad at myself for not going to JJ's sooner. It's the type of set up where you order at the counter and take it to your seat. There are tables inside and a few outside, it's not a large place but big enough for a group of 8 or so to come in unannounced. I went with a bowl with jasmine rice, beef and plantains. The seasoning on the meat was awesome as was the rice. I've made jasmine rice many times but my jasmine rice never tastes that good! I also got an arepa which was so good! It was a good size and full of yummy cheese! Service was friendly and quick and they checked on us several times once we sat down. In addition to what I got they also have other options such as burritos, quesadillas, tabbouleh and hummus so it offers a variety for all different types of tastebuds. I almost forgot! The pico de gallo! Normally my thoughts on pico is it's pico, nothing special BUT this pico was seasoned so well I was eating it by itself! Definitely make sure you get some! If you are looking for a place thats original with some less common menu items check out JJ's! read more

I frequent JJ's all the time. The food is delicious and the staff is great. It tastes much better than somewhere like Chipotle and you don't feel disgusting after having eaten it the way you do after chipotle. read more

This is a Mexican Lebanese eatery. No that is not a typo. It's "line" based options make it easy to choose your items. Today was my first visit to this neighborhood location that I've heard nothing but good things about. Out of the options of burritos, bowls, salad & pita's I chose a Mex Bowl with corn cilantro rice, salsa, black beans, feta, quac, hummus & Tziki. This was a delicious combo that made my taste buds very happy. The Tziki is very good. The hummus had an olive oil flavor that took over & the guac was not spiced over. I also got the chips & queso for my kids. I liked both but my kids didn't like the queso. I'm thinking they are used to overly processed stuff to appreciate good quality. Check them out in IG & FB. Discount when you check in on Yelp. I won't hesitate coming back. Support local establishments read more

Omg this was so good. My family and I felt bad because we came an hour before they closed and they had to make new and fresh arepas. But we weren't disappointed at all. It was so cheap considering how much meat and food they give you. If I lived here I would go here at least once a week. If you've never tried an arepa like me, you won't me disappointed read more

Everything is fresh and tasty. Order something different every week and never disappoints

DELICIOUS! IM GOING BACK DESPITE BEING FULL! I can eat it later! This is my kind of place. The food is perfect. It's filling yet light. Fresh and diverse flavors. TBH, I was unsure of this middle eastern/Hispanic fusion hole in the wall but I couldn't be more wrong. I got the rice bowl with lentils, grilled veggies (marinated eggplant and zucchini), and chicken, topped with tabouleh and some of the best tzatziki sauce. I always post pictures and it looked so good, I devoured my plate without a thought of taking a picture. The location is not the best. Not trendy. But the store itself is wonderful. Good atmosphere and a wonderful staff. Without a doubt I will be returning and I'm going to explore the menu a little more. read more

JJ's Fresh - Sweet potato bowl with tofu and veggies. - Mexican Near Me - Orlando, Florida

Probably the place I get takeout from most often. The ingredients are fresh, clean and have great flavor. I've done just about every bowl combo you could think of and have yet to get one that doesn't work together. My favorite is the lentil rice with pork, black beans, plantains, the roasted veggies, corn, tabouleh, pico, lettuce, and a combo all the sauces. Sounds like a crazy combo of flavors, but I'm telling you... it's delicious. I love to support small business, so next time you get a craving for that national chain that rhymes with "tipotle", give JJ's a try instead. I'd say they're far superior. ;) read more

as an Orlando native, this restaurant never disappoints. I love supporting local businesses and the staff and owner are always so friendly. It gives a good twist on mediterranean/hispanic/chipotle like food. I always get the bowl but they're arepas never disappoint. read more

I've been coming to JJ's ever since I moved to Orlando. I actually heard about them from a client that asked me to use their catering service. Their customer service is fantastic, Daniela is always available to take my catering orders. A complete hidden gem of a place. Have you ever thought "I love both Mediterranean food AND mexican food, and don't want to have to choose?", well this is the spot for you. Bowls and wraps, customized to your liking with a ton if delicious meats, veggies, and unique toppings like grilled eggplant or tabouleh. Their sauces are flavorful, homemade, and fresh. Great spot for either a healthy bowl or an indulgent wrap. read more

We drove all the way from Mount Dora. Our first time here. No regrets!!! Each of our bowls were amazing!!! We will definitely make the ride again. Thank you. You have a sweet place here. Great food! read more

Food is decent but the proportion is much too small, especially given the price was higher than comparable restaurants in the area with larger portions. I feel like I was given a kids meal for $10. I am eating somewhere else after because I am still hungry. Tofu was creative and goes great with the plantains, but weird with everything else. I would eat the tofu and plantains as a dessert. The black beans and steak were very salty. It seemed like the steak was flavored with salt, red Chilli pepper, tomato, and onion, which has good potential for a stew but I didn't like it on my bowl. The infused strawberry cucumber water was a bit sour like the ingredients weren't quite right and tasted like Florida tap water. read more

JJ's Fusion Grill is a seriously delicious Mexican/ Lebanese restaurant. It kind of reminds me of chipotle but better because it allows you to combine two cuisines in one meal. It was interesting because I arrived with three friends and all our bowls had different flavors because of the ingredients we chose. I decided to order a spicy rice bowl as my base and chicken as my meat. As far as the toppings go, I tried to make it half Mexican and half Lebanese. In the end it didn't really matter because I ended up mixing everything together. Surprisingly, it tasted amazing all together. The bowl was very filling. I ended up saving 1/3 of it for a midnight snack. I was very pleased with the quality of the food and the customer service was excellent. We showed up 15 minutes to close (which I know is annoying) and the girls were still super polite and welcoming. read more

I refuse to compare JJ's to Chipotle. Reason? It's super simple, the season, quality of food was amazing. It was my first time and the staff members were amazing in explaining the different options you can choose from. I had the lentil rice with black beans and lentils, all the veggies, cheese, their homemade spice/hot sauce. It was warm, tasteful, large quantity (another reason why i wouldn't compare it) It was super delicious. Thinking about grabbing lunch from there today. read more

Bad, very bad. They take orders and serve the food without any protection; they don't use masks, sontheir saliva its all iver the place. Its not a safe place to eat, and they don't care. A little bit of Tex mex a lil bit of Mediterranean this place is great! I go here quite often and something about the freshness and quality of ingredients always brings me back for more. First time in this place. This place is a better version of chipotle. The flavors are much better. Ordered the mid-east bowl and it was good. I couldn't decide which one to pick when given a choice, so I opted for half of all the choices. Place is not packed and very short line, fast service and clean place. Price was right on. read more

5 stars for a great customer service, great food, good value and quickness. Stopped by since we were near by. This place is like an improved Chipotle with a way shorter line and wait, greater options and amazing flavors from Latin and Middle East cuisines. I got the Middle-East Bowl with lentil rice, lentil, sautéed veggies, pork, tabbouleh salad, feta cheese, guac and hummus. All under $10 with preparation under 5 min! If I lived closer I would come to JJs more often. read more

I think I just don't know how to order from this restaurant, but the one time I've had it all the foods tasted super weird together. The service wasn't great either, I accidentally walked in once before they opened (the door was open idk) and they were pretty mean about it even though it was an honest mistake. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth both literally and figuratively. I couldn't really recommend this place based off my own experience, but like I said earlier I think it's possible that I just have no clue how these foods are supposed to go together. read more

Fusion is the name of the game! They have two distinct flavors that you can mix and match - Mexican and Mediterranean. You can make a bowl with three different types of rice, one being Mujaddara (rice & lentils) which I love. Honestly that is a meal in itself, but alas!! you can add toppings. As I mentioned before they are Mexican or Mediterranean (guac, hummus... you get the idea). This place is great for anyone and everyone as they have your meat options and vegetarian options, and especially when you can't decide what you are in the mood for. Here they have it all :) Great for a quick take home or eat in dinner. read more

This is my third visit here and I am writing my review based on all three visits. I would have to say I'm a little disappointed, Not necessarily in the food but in the up charges that they get you with. I was asked to sample something and asked if I wanted to add it to my bowl I said yes and then unknowingly this was a two dollar up charge for the new item, sweet potatoes. Additionally I went in and ordered a side of beans only, and she charge me for a full kids meal that was five dollars-- for some beans for my two-year-old. I do enjoy their pork and the sweetness of the beans, but I don't enjoy a high price tag and the tiny portions. I asked for a little bit more beans on my bowl and the person shook their head and laughed while they added a tiny bit more. I by no means was being rude I just wanted a smidge more. The place is very clean very well-kept but due to a lack of information when ordering on what cost extra, I will not be back. I've tried three separate occasions and continually get charged well over what the listed price was on the board without being told that they were up charges for items. You should really assume as an owner that everyone coming in the door has not been there before and should be informed of these things, if you're not going to list it out on the glass in front of the items. I hope this review helps someone else make a good decision or clarify before they order, and end up with a $13+ bowl that was listed at $8and some change. read more

I love JJ's, it's always so fresh. I usually get the bowl which comes with white or brown rice, your choice of meats, and various toppings, ie-cheese, salsa, sautéed corn, or peppers, and sour cream. I can especially rave about the guacamole, it's just the right zesty flavor and is perfect on the side of the bowl. I also highly recommend their chipotle sauce to drizzle over the top- you can't go wrong. read more

Came in to grab a quick lunch for the first time and it was delicious! A similar concept to chipotle but even more FLAVOR (and who doesn't love flavor??). I was debating between 2 bases so I was super excited to hear that I could do half of each! (Some places are sticklers about that). Overall I enjoyed my meal but for some reason it did not leave a lasting impression, so because of the distance as well, I probably won't be back again. I do think it's worth to try though! read more

I was expecting a sit-down/eat-in restaurant, but I wasn't disappointed. It's chipotle style except the food is cooked on site and fresh. I had the Summer-Bod bowl and upgraded to steak, I was very happy with the meat serving size and only paid $10. Worth checking out for a quick lunch. read more

The winter park JJ's was sooo good until they shut down... My experience with this place was not great. I was excited to eat my food until I came across a weird squishy unknown piece of food in my bowl that set my mouth on FIRE. I was almost on the verge of puking to be honest. I only asked for the chimichurri and the spicy Mexican rice which should have been the only the "spiciest" thing in my bowl. I was very let down... read more

JJ's concept is a lot like Chipotle but tastes a million times better! I was blown away by the first bite! Best of all, it's cheaper than Chipotle. It's Mexican style food mixed in with some amazing Indian flavors. As I said, the concept is similar to Chipotle: choose your style (burrito, pita, bowl etc) then you choose your meat and then load it up with their selection of Indian style veggies and rice. I ordered a bowl with their pork. The meat alone is worth trying and the Indian flavors really took my taste buds to the next level. There's plenty to eat in one order so come hungry. Best of all, most orders will cost you less than $10. I will definitely come back to try out some other variety of food they have to offer. read more

Went to JJ's to grab a quick lunch today with my friend before dropping her for the airport and it turned out to be really good. I had the bowl with lentil rice&pulled chicken, totally recommended. The portion was so big I was only able to eat half of it. My husband tried their quesadilla tortillas with pulled chicken which was really cheesy and tasty. My friend got the tortilla with caramelised tofu, though it was a little sweet for her taste, she still enjoyed it a lot. Prices were affordable and the place was neat and sparkly clean. I'd definitely recommend it. read more

Hands down one of my favorite regular spots for solid vegan options that are fire ! The Agave Tofu which they cook to order comes out a little bit caramelized and pairs perfectly with any of the veggie options. I tend to go for the mushrooms and eggplant, but the sweet potatoes are great too. Don't forget to finish it with the habanero sauce for that kick at the end. read more
