This is a cute cozy eatery at a great location! Stopped by with a friend since it was closeby and walking distance to the Annex Chess Club and Snakes & Lattes board game cafe. First impressions entering was that it was quite small but was cozy and warm. Washrooms were downstairs. They have a wide selection to choose from in terms of toast and food items. The Dalgoni tea that I got was really good. It was also quite busy at around 6pm when we were there. Overall, I would come back here again if I'm nearby! When someone told me this place resembled a breakfast spot from Korea. I had to check it out right away. Now I've been dropping by when I get a chance and craving for some delicious breakfast sandwich in the Bathurst area since 2021. The place is small joint but cute with a few tables inside. What I like about this breakfast sandwich compare to other spots is the buttery texture, crusty and the egg was nice cooked with combination of good toppings such as kimchi, crab and nicely sliced cabbage. I also liked their brown sugar coffee that goes oh so well with that breakfast sandwich. If they have a spot in Mississauga, oh i will be all over this place. ***4.5 stars*** Yum! Surprisingly good. I've had other Asian breakfast sandwiches before but this one seems to hit the nail on head taste-wise for me. I think the addition of shredded cabbage adds a nice textural component to the sandwich. It also cuts the grease a little and sops up the other flavors. I also like their special sauce. I don't know what it is, but it seems a bit sweet. Combined with the tang from the pickles and savoriness from the ham & egg, it was a well balanced breakfast sandwich. It was also less messy than I thought it would be (although I did use a number of napkins) and I was able to walk and eat at the same time without getting my clothes soiled. I spotted this place after leaving the Bathurst TTC station and stopped in for lunch. I love finding places like this that you didn't know existed (I'm from out of town) and they end up being bangers. I'm Korean-American so I love a good Korean street toast. They have five different toast sandwiches available and I got the Bokko (Cabbage, carrot, scallion, onion, egg, Ketchup, Mustard and Sugar). They bake their own bread and the light dusting of sugar makes it perfectly salty-sweet. The egg patty had the veggies inside and they provided a nice crunch against the softness of the bread (which was toasted perfectly). It also had Jjin sauce, which I'm not sure exactly what it's made of, but I would guess it has some gochujang in it because it was a little spicy and sweet. They also have coffees and lattes (including dalgona) available. The staff was so friendly and the food was delicious. I highly recommend stopping in to try them! read more

There were two ladies working. One was older and the other one was younger. The younger lady was super sweet and pleasant. I got the wasa mayo crab because I wanted something fast to eat before going to Casa Loma. For the size, it was reasonable. It was about $10.99 CAD but since I'm from the US, it was about $8 USD. My partner and I stumbled upon this gem while in the area, and we were so glad we stopped in!! All of the options looked delicious.. we were torn between the crab and the double cheese bacon but ultimately decided to go with the crab. The milk bread used for the toast was delightfully fluffy. Jjin bakes their bread daily and you can tell - it's milky and buttery perfection. They toast it well too, firm enough to hold all the fillings while still being soft and chewy. As for the fillings, they're super generous with it. Got the Snow Kimchi, and they definitely loaded the sandwhich with all the kimchi, cheese, egg and corn I'd want. Yum! There are a few seats so you can dine in, but this is mainly a takeout spot. The people on the grill and serving are super friendly, the place is bright and cheery and it's across Bathurst subway so really convenient to get to. We dropped by JJIN TOAST since we were near koreatown the other day. I have always wanted to come but I always thought it looks like breakfast food so I never bothered. We ordered Double Cheese Bacon Sandwiches and Wasa Mayo Crabmeat sandwich. Both were recommended by the girl who works there. They r amazing!!!! The toast is so so so soft but crunchy, the combination of sourness of the pickled cucumber, kick from the sauce, the sweetness from the Mayo and crabmeat and the softness of the egg, work so well together. This is a Korean restaurant featuring Korean street food of egg toasts. Jjin is Korean meaning "so real". There is a simplified menu of 4 different toast sandwiches. They have a kitchen downstairs to prepare their ingredients but the egg toasts are made in front of you. The staff are always courteous and very willing to help you choose. The owners are Eric and Erin with Erin also the manager. Their milk bread is freshly made on-site.  The milk bread is toasted on a grill with butter on both sides and a sweet Asian fruit sauce on one side. We came during their soft opening on 2021-09-01, during which they offer a free coffee with any sandwich purchase. We got the following: 1. Bokko (old fashion) Toast ($5.99) 2. Ham Cheese Toast ($6.99) 3. Dalgona Latte ($5.50) - iced Bokko is Korean meaning old-fashion (first generation) so that kind of toast has been enjoyed for 40 years. The rest of Jjin Toast's egg toasts are traditional (second generation) which has been enjoyed for 20 years. It does have sugar sprinkled on it so there is a sweetness you wouldn't expect from a toast sandwich. Their coffee are made with the quality De Mello brand and filtered water. Any of their coffees can be ordered hot or iced. The Dalgona Latte is a latte topped with Dalgona which is a sweet caramel candy, great for me because I prefer sweeter coffee. I could drink the entire cup! Their main competitor is Egg Club but their sandwiches are bigger (their toast is 12cm by 12cm vs Egg Club's 10cm by 9cm) and healthier. Egg Club makes the third generation egg toast which has only been around for 5 years. The Jjin Toast egg is an omelette but the Egg Club egg is a fluffy omelette. On 2021-09-12, we came for lunch and got the following: 1. Bokko (old fashion) Toast ($5.99) 2. Wasa Mayo Crab Toast ($7.99) 3. Double Cheese Bacon Toast ($8.99) 4. Dalgona Latte ($5.50) - iced 5. Cafe Latte ($4.50) - iced 6. Banana Milk ($3.50) We reordered the Bokko Toast and Dalgona Latte because we enjoyed them a lot last time. I was concerned about the Wasa Mayo Crab because I don't like wasabi. It turns out there is only a small amount of wasabi in it so I was able to enjoy it. I'm glad I tried it because the crab meat was delicious. The Double Cheese Bacon Toast was good. My son actually ate half of it! There is free WiFi. It is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washrooms downstairs (hence  the washroom is not wheelchair accessible). There is paid street parking along the main streets or free 1-hour parking in the residential neighbourhood. On Sat and Sun, there is free parking along Bathurst, north of Bloor. This is my absolute favorite new breakfast sandwich! An amazing combination of sweet and savory flavors delivered in a soft milk bread package. I had the Ham Cheese, which comes with ham, cheese slice, cabbage, pickles, egg (with corn bits) and JJin sauce (sweet fruity). It's like eating a grilled ham and cheese sandwich in-between slices of french toast. Comes in a cute box that makes it actually easy to eat on the street. As well as being delicious this is a fair sized sandwich and very filling. I'd have it for lunch or dinner as well. They were so good we just inhaled them in front of the shop. This was such a hole in the wall for us. It's hidden behind the main street so you definitely need to be observant to find this place. They serve different toasts and coffee. We got the basic bokka toast which comes with egg and some veggies. The bread was soft and flavorful when toasted and is topped with sugar which was so good. The inside is a square egg filled with veggie, almost like an okonomyaki. There was some ketchup and mustard as well. Saw this place in tiktok so we decided to try it out. The place is very small and there's only a handful of tables. I think most people are only ordering takeout so getting a table shouldn't be hard. We ordered the double bacon and the 2way chicken. The sandwiches are good, and the bread is definitely buttery, but it's also difficult to eat because of how greasy it is. For some that's not an issue but for me personally I found it hard to eat. Overall though the sandwiches are good value for what you get, so if you aren't afraid of getting messy then give this a try. read more

This is one of my favourite places in Toronto and deserves all the hype. The menu has a variety of fun sandwiches to try, and I'm convinced my boyfriend has nearly eaten everything twice .. and it's always delicious! Each time we visit (individually or together) the staff greets us with so much enthusiasm and warmth, we always leave feeling happier than when we stepped in. On a cold day my boyfriend went to get me my favourite Dalgona latte, and as the manger recognized him she sent him with a free cookie to bring home to me after he shared I wasn't feeling well. Thoughtful little things that show engagement in the community & recognizing local support is what keeps us coming back, & why we tell everyone they've gotta try it at least once! Hands down the the best korean toast I've had in the GTA! The in house JJIN sauce was a sweet jam like sauce that made it so much better compared to other toast places I've been to. The cabbage in the sandwiches really help cut down the oiliness. The only complain I have is that it gets soggy by the end of it so make sure to eat quick! read more

It's layered between 2 slices of buttery toast, along with egg (with corn inside), lettuce, their JJin sauce , and some pickles (that are sweeter than your normal pickles). We ate it so fast we didn't get pictures (which is a first). We got the crab and the bacon sandwiches with a coffee. The coffee smelled heavenly and the sandwiches were delicious. There was a sweetness to the bacon sandwich that was perfect. The bread was a fluffy thickness that was an amazing pair with the eggs and toppings. I had an appointment in the area and luckily tried Jjin. It's a really yummy Korean sandwich place. I love how they put so much filling, and like their wasabi mayo. Bread is sweeter more than creamy, and tastes freshly made. Also love how they have dalgona coffee. Jjin also has very pleasant owners. You can see how much they take pride in this, and are happy to answer my questions and give suggestions. The place itself is smallish (one table for 2, another table for 4), but really clean and nicely decorated. Also have clean washrooms downstairs. Got here by accident, we were originally headed to Madame Levant for brunch. Google says it's open, turned out it's not. We decided to go to School Restaurant then, same thing. I was starting to get HANGRY, so I just thought of take out from Egg Club. Along the way, we were surprised to see that roads were blocked by police cars in anticipation of the convoy protest. I was ready to give up and just go to a Timmy's when lo and behold, I see Jim Toast on my right while on a stop light. Thank goodness for the sandwich photos on the glass windows that caught my eye. Inside it was a small takeout place with 2 tables for dine in. I ordered ham and cheese and the double cheese bacon sandwiches and Americano to go. The male and female servers work in unison and I before I know it, we were savouring the mouthwatering sandwiches. Both were equally delicious. Their only have few menu items but I bet everything tastes good. It's a big plus that the servers were very clean- wearing gloves when handling the food, and taking it off when handling payments or prepping coffee. I don't understand why other take out shawarma places don't know how to properly use gloves. (@Lazeez ) Even their coffee was good. All in all this place hits the spot. Sandwich is excellent with ingredients you won't often find in a Western breakfast sandwich. This might be the most authentic Korean Toast experience in Toronto. Reminds me of Isaac Toast for those familiar with the iconic toast franchise in Korea. I got myself the Double Cheese Bacon. The toast was fresh and buttery. The buttery toast complimented the ham & cheese so well and the slight wasabi notes with the coleslaw were perfectly offset by the sweetness of the whole sandwich. I always passed by this place when taking the streetcar from Bathurst station. Today I decided to try it. I ended up getting the crabmeat and wasabi mayo toast and it was tasty. One sandwich is definitely enough to make you full. The staff were lovely and offered a free dalgona cookie on the house. Naturally, I lost probably wouldn't have survived this task in Squid Game.
