Bought my house 4 years ago and Juan has been doing work throughout the space for all 4 years. He has done a number of lighting, electrical, and tiling jobs and it has always been of the highest quality. Most recently Juan upgraded the lighting in my kitchen from a single dim contractor grade flush mount to a much brighter and usable recessed lighting. He is extremely prompt in responding to requests, he's flexible and will work with you to make sure your vision comes to fruition. Juan was great! Braced our water heater, fixed downspout, labeled our electrical panels, built us shelves and also installed insulation on our ducts. Was patient with us adding projects along the way like putting anti-tip furniture straps on our dressers and bookcase. Also identified an issue with our siding that we fixed and avoided some water damage in the process. Pricing was transparent and fair. They have payment online and clear invoices. I do wish they hauled away the old insulation (we were left with 6 trash bags full and have to figure out disposal) and the furniture scraps used (while strong) are visible on top of our dressers which I don't love. I love the book shelves he built but we will definitely have to sand them down and also maybe stain them to have a more polished look later on but they are fine for now. Would recommend! read more

Here's the thing about house work that was really important for us. Communication, attention to details, and cleanliness. I will say that Juan, from Gabriel's Handyman, hit it out of the park on all three. The job was to install 2x planter window boxes on a stucco exterior, which also required moving a exterior light fixture down a couple of feet to make room for the planter boxes. We communicated over text messages, sent text pictures of the job, and all of the texts were promptly replied to, with the most affordable quote from several online quotes I requested via Yelp. I even sent him a link to the installation videos of the planter box manufacturer and he watched them prior to coming to our job to understand exactly what was required to install the boxes efficiently. He arrives on time (a big plus for us), quickly discusses the scope of work, asks some quick questions, and gets to work. He had to come back the second day (the job apparently required a hammer drill since our exterior is... tough, and plus it was starting to rain), and on the second day, he came on time (again a big plus for us) with another set of helping hand and got the job done very quickly (the planter boxes look great Juan! The wife is very pleased!). He also has an attention to safety. We were moving the exterior light which was (we thought) connected electrically to a plug a few feet below it as there was a metal protective conduit running from the light to the plug cover. We opened up the breaker on the electric panel which clearly demonstrated the light shut off, but he tested the electric plug anyway and found that it was actually connected to a separate fuse and it was still hot. Good call, and great find preventing an electric injury instead of just assuming it was dead. He cleans up the job site after himself very well, and the quality of work was excellent. I would definitely reuse him for additional jobs, as his communications, attention to detail, and prompt timeliness were all excellent and exactly what we look for in someone executing work on our home. Can I give him 10 stars?? I have had Juan do several projects for me, and he exceeds my expectations every time. First project was to replace the flooring in the bathroom. It had some water damage and needed to be replaced. He and his partner did a great job. Next project was installing a new heater/fan for the bathroom. Juan noticed there was no vent leading out of the bathroom, so in addition to installing the fan and repainting the ceiling, he went up thru the attic and installed a vent. All work was done with great care and looks great. He installed a couple outlet covers for my backyard too. Next project was installing new valves for our auto sprinkler system. He noticed that our water pressure out back was poor. He ran new copper pipes to the front of the house, and the water pressure is 1000% better. Our sprinklers work 1000% better. What a difference that made. The night before we had a problem with our kitchen sink, water would not come out. He fixed that in about 5 minutes and didn't charge me. Juan is on my speed dial. If you have electrical, plumbing, or any handyman work that needs to be done....this is your guy. On top of that he's one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. My highest recommendation. I had an appointment for a phone call within a couple of hours. They never called. Then I finally got a call the next day. I texted a picture of the job I needed done . Replacing 8 interior doors with a slab hollow core door. I was quoted $1800 for 8 doors without painting them. Sounds very expensive to me!! I've often heard there is a general rule when you hire someone to do work on your home. It can be fast, good, or affordable and you can only choose two. Gabriel's Handyman has shown to be an exception. They gave us an affordable estimate for plumbing, low voltage and refrigerator waterline. They showed up on time everyday and completed the work in a timely manner. The work was done really well and corners were not cut. A few cable runs were more difficult than originally expected and took much longer. The cost stayed the same and there were no complaints at all. Juan, the point person, communicated well and answered all the questions I had. He took my comments and requests serious and gave my home the care that I would if I was doing the work. I would definitely recommend this service, and I plan on using them again. read more

Juan's team is great.. He was recommended by a friend who had some work done on some windows. I have so much work that needs to be done on my house, I'm excited to have found Juan and his team as they do amazing work. They don't cut corners and seem to be a bit of a perfectionist, which is super. I had 7 windows replaced.. 6 were urgent need as there was some water coming through on 2 of the window frames (old original wood frames on a 1924 home).. The 7th window was more due to keeping all the windows the same.. The work was done great.. loving my windows and will be replacing the rest of the windows in the home this next year.. Oh, and will be requesting Juan's services for that job and the many others that I have in the home.. What can I say that hasn't already been said about Juan? He responded quickly to my Yelp inquiry and was very easy to communicate with. He came to evaluate our condo (we wanted some flooring replaced in the kitchen and bathrooms, new baseboards, a new dishwasher installed, drywall fixed, and new paint), gave us tips on options for the bathroom floor and gave us a quote the same evening. He started work the next week and didn't flinch when we added a few tasks (installing a new toilet) and when we ran into issues with our HOA having to turn off the water to the building for the dishwasher install or asking him to pick up the new toilet from Home Depot. He is super flexible and always responds quickly, even if it's just an emoji thumbs up to let you know he got your message. I've saved his number on my phone for future projects! read more
