The sweet & sour chicken was bland and nothing like I had before. So far, I have found that York has sub-par pizza parlors and Chinese restaurants. I haven't tried any local Indian or Mexican restaurants yet, and most of the other food outlets are fast food, which is all crap. I cannot believe there are no proper vegan or vegan-friendly restaurants and no other ethnic restaurants (Kosher, Halal, Ethiopian, Italian) in the city. Maybe it is time to wake up the tastebuds of the Yorkies. I recently moved here from NYC, and although I detest going to Baltimore or DC for dinner, it seems like my only option. read more

Best Chinese in York!! Egg rolls are yummy, fantastic pork fried rice, and anything with their sweet and sour. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Ask for the homemade hot pepper sauce, duck and mustard sauce. read more

Although this place resides within the "Chinese takeout" restaurant space, it's definitely in the upper end. The food actually tastes like it was cooked instead of heated, and they give you a great amount for the price you pay. It's not some boujee place that charges too much because they need to pay off their lease nor are they a dump that microwaves everything. JJ Panda is a little strip mall Chinese place. A few tables and chairs, but mostly takeout. I've been here a few times when driving through the area on the way home from events in PA. The chicken and broccoli is good. The General Tso's is great. Service is speedy and friendly. I usually just pop in, order, go get gas nearby, and come back in ten minutes. Lunch time. We are staying at the Hampton Inn which is right next to the strip mall where this restaurant plus IHOP and a pizza place are located. Mainly a takeout restaurant but the have 5 tables each with 4 chairs (seating for 20). I really love hot and sour soup and theirs is very good. Wife had wonton egg drop soup also very good. It's a larger serving. The beef broccoli with fried rice lunch comes with an egg roll. Another large serving. Everything was nice and hot. Since it is a takeout place the only negatives was the plastic silverware doesn't cut it. Especially using a regular spoon to eat soup. Also the napkins are small. The lady who takes your order at the counter was helpful and friendly. The place was clean. read more

Terrible experience. Part of it may have been because of DoorDash, but they forgot a whole meal and three egg rolls. Food was not good and had high prices with small portions. We've ordered from here before the food previously was awesome. But something has definitely changed and not for the good. I will start with the good. The spring roll was awesome and they did what I asked them to do with the scallion pancake by making it extra crispy so it was not drowning and oil when I got to my house. Those are the good points under the bed. We had two orders of general Tso chicken, shrimp, lo mein, and shrimp fried rice. The shrimp and both the fried rice and the lo mein was not cooked properly. They weren't done. They were very pale and we just took them out of both dishes and threw them out. That's very dangerous you gotta make sure you seafoods cook thoroughly before sending that off to your diners. The shrimp fried rice after taking the shrimp out was very bland. It was not a normal shrimp fried rice. Shrimp thing very bland taste. Not at all from JJ panda and not having properly cooked shrimp is dangerous so not sure that will be ordering from here again ever. read more

I've eaten here forever and loved it . This past visit the food was so bad I threw it out. My broccoli and chicken was ALL CHICKEN SKIN- no meat. The sauce was putrid for my dish and my friend's teriyaki. Counter staff could not have been more pleasant but food quality was shocking. Cutting corners? Terrible cook? New management? Avoid !!! Horrible! The fried spicy wontons were steamed with peanut sauce with a clump of red pepper flakes dumped on them. My chicken with garlic sauce was tasteless with shaved, julienne vegetables, again, the spicy part was sprinkled on red pepper flakes. I would expect the spicy flavor to be part of the sauce. I can't explain what spices they used but it literally tastes so good and so unique. We came in just as they were preparing sweet and sour pork and it also does not disappoint. Ordered via DoorDash. The quality was very good. Everything was fresh. Looked great. We got the combination beef and broccoli, which was missing the eggroll. We had ordered an extra eggroll luckily so we at least got one. The eggroll is handmade and huge...and yummy. The veggie friend rice was good. Not salty or greasy. Very tasty. My god. Who knew you could screw up Chinese food so bad. My teriyaki chicken was bland, and I'm pretty sure they mixed up the recipe for sesame chicken. The egg roll was just pure mush. And my child's broccoli and chicken was covered in some kind of sauce (teriyaki?) that even I wouldn't eat. Also, they are extremely stingy with the soy sauce. We moved to the area in November and ordered a lot of delivery/take out until we finally found a Chinese restaurant that we really liked! This was it. The food is HOT when it's delivered, fast delivery and it's great! The only thing I did not like was the House Special Mei Fun. No sauce and no flavor, very bland.
