The server was attentive to my needs, took enough time to have conversation, but also left me to enjoy my meal. Being a restaraunt in a hotel the decor was pretty plain. Open with tables closer together than most would prefer. I really wanted the buffet to get started. Most companies are not as generous as mine giving me a $25 allowance for breakfast, but even at that a $22 buffet does not leave room to leave the server a reasonable tip. They should take this into consideration when pricing. There are many other breakfast buffets that are priced much more favorably and usually have a bigger selection. I opted for the western omlette. It was served with potatos which were fine. The omlette taste fine but was really scrambled eggs with ham and veggies mixed in, cooked, then folded in half and topped with cheese. An omlette with the veggies and cheese stuffed inside a thin egg base is always so much better. Hotel food is usually about convenience, so I got what I expected, decent service, acceptable food and a price point higher than average.

JJ Burger has a lot going for it, starting with their wonderful staff. The team was incredibly nice and gracious, making the experience feel welcoming right from the start. The dining room was also a pleasant surprise--clean, comfortable, and inviting, which set a great tone for the meal. The presentation of the burger itself was impressive--it looked beautiful, as though made for a food magazine cover. However, the taste didn't quite match the visual appeal. The bun was unfortunately stale, detracting from the overall texture. The patty was smaller than expected and overcooked, leaving it lacking in flavor and juiciness. Additionally, the sauces were applied with too much restraint, making the burger feel dry and underwhelming. JJ Burger shows potential, but attention to these key details--fresh buns, proper meat preparation, and a more generous hand with the sauces--could elevate the experience significantly. I hope they address these issues because they clearly have the heart and hospitality to succeed. read more

Don't bring your kids here. They will request for them to be quiet if they are being noisy. My family walks by here often and my son had been asking to come here, finally when we come he was super excited and was being a bit noisy, and they requested us to have him be quiet. I asked the employee why she requested that because we thought he wasn't being too noisy. We would have shut him if that was case and she was extremely rude saying he being too loud. He was not being too loud no one else was bothered except her. She then apologized but when I asked her why she wants requested that she didn't respond as if she was sorry. There isn't a whole lot of parking but it's on the corner of a neighborhood so you can park on the street and walk there. We ordered the double burger, side of fries, Coke and a lemonade. The burger was really good but we both wished we had just gotten the single patty because it was a little much and we would've appreciated it a lot more if it was just the single patty. Fries were crisp and salty and paired nicely with the fry sauce. Also, They only offer 32oz for drinks fyi! They don't have smaller sizes. The lemonade is like minute maid lemonade, good but nothing special. We definitely would come back if we're ever in the area. Just probably would get the single patty burger instead!

The burger itself reminds me of a much more manageable In-N-Out Burger with a lot more depth of flavor with their fry sauce. The bun was a little chewy for me and the burger patty could have been seasoned a little more aggressively in my opinion. I would rate the burger a 6.8/10 (5/10 is a solid burger in my book, this one was much more unique hence the 6.8 rating) The Fry's were fantastic and very standard, 10/10. I would say the fry sauce is something that deserves an entirely separate paragraph No exaggeration, the fry sauce here is the best fry sauce I have ever tasted. It is made with a ton of different ingredients besides what you usually find in fry sauce (mayo, ketchup, some seasoning). This is built on an entirely different level of flavor. I was able to speak to some of the employees the first time I came by because I had so many questions about this fry sauce. Out of respect for them and not wanting to expose any ingredients, I suggest you ask them what's in it! Fry sauce is an 11/10 The environment is wonderful, outdoor seating with some super pretty views of the mountains. The shakes here are fantastic but the photo is actually a lemon limeade slushie which was incredible. Very tart but not overwhelming, it paired great with this burger which is plenty savory. We will definitely be coming back a 3rd time! The reason for the 3 stars and not 4 or 5 is due to the burger being weaker in my opinion. I felt the star of the show was the fry sauce and the burger felt secondary.

I was able to park out front pretty easy but backing out onto the busy street was not my favorite thing to do in the dark. There is some parking past the light on the right, I wish I knew that beforehand. The little building is chock full of charm, definitely one of those hole in the wall places that has been around forever. That being said, I didn't find their menu easy to read. It was all over the place and when I looked it up online, it was better but still kind of hard. To order, one of the girls waves you over to one of two windows and takes your order, but doesn't have you pay immediately and when you do get to pay, you don't see the card being charged right in front of you, it's whisked away to the back. So you awkwardly wait around until she calls you over with a very polite "hey you". She will then give you your items one by one as they are ready. So while one person finishes their shake, the next one starts on theirs and if you order fries, it's going to take an extra 30 minutes of waiting out in whatever weather. But they do have white sauce, so that is a point in their favor! I was excited to have my guy try this place and he didn't think it was all that great and I had to agree with him. Our food was fine. The experience was the letdown. Oh and the spoon cut up the sides of my mouth!
