Street parking but it was easy to find a space even tho it was Friday at lunch time. Teen hangout for sure. Inside needed a makeover and a lil bit more cleaning. You order at counter. They bring out food. It's pretty much a mom and pop fast food place. My burger-- the Western- was basic but decent. Reminded me of the Carl's Jr western. Same thing. Patty, bbq sauce, onion rings. Prob same size too. Nothing memorable but decent.

I wanted a burger, we passed this on our way to an appointment in Provo and checked Yelp reviews and thought- why not? So after my appointment we circled back and had lunch. For a mid day Friday, we were surprised to see a number of teens and preteens in there eating or finishing up! They were definitely not college age. Eating area is small and could use some updating. There was an unexplainable amount of Marilyn Monroe pics on the walls. But they were portrait size- like different 8x10's of her. We thought it was strange. Didn't really go with the place. You order at the counter, it's brought out. I had the double cheeseburger- it was good but the didn't listen to me asking for the sauce on the side. They did however give me sauce on the side but it was also in my burger already. I enjoyed the tater tots. Fresh and very crispy the way I love. Hubby said his burger was good- he had The Western. the usual: a burger with bbq sauce and a couple onion rings. The bathroom (I hate unisex bathrooms!) was super duper odd! It was like a narrow long closet space. The toilet is facing the door but not up against a wall like normal. It was just there. Then u have to walk behind the toilet to wash your hands at the sink. WEIRD. All in all the food was reasonably priced. The sizes of the burgers were like fast food. They were slightly better than most fast food burgers. But it looks primarily like a place where locals would go to grab take out - and teens to hang out.

Great spot for a bite! The kids loved their chicken and corndog. Hamburger was alright and the Blue hamburger was pretty fantastic! Service was great. Even when we needed a refund for an accidental double charge they were especially kind and helpful with that!

Right off the bat the service was friendly and helpful creating a welcoming experience. The food was good, definitely better than any fast food places but about on par with Apollo and Crown Burger with subtle reminders of In-n-out. It's a convenient stop for being in downtown Provo and I'll likely be back. The Cheeseburger was enjoyable and worth giving a try the ranch burger was basically just a bacon double cheeseburger since it was a little light on the ranch. But we'd go for it again but it could use more back. We also got the cheese fries and those were a big disappointment for the price. As were the shakes that were just soft serve with flavorings. Overall can't complain but not my top place in Provo.

I'd come here and eat again. Gave me a nice old times feeling outside as well as inside my gut. I miss having fry sauce so I'm glad this place had it. Service could be faster but it's not exactly fast food so I didn't mind too much.

The place is pretty divey. Nice atmosphere. To be honest, it's one of the best burgers I've had in Utah county. The burgers were a little smaller than I would imagine, but they were tasty. And the onion rings were absolutely crunchy and delicious. For a first impression, I can say I was very impressed by the food and service. I would recommend this place for a first-time experience. So I finally took occasion to hit JJ Burger. Really glad I did. As I walked in, I saw it was filled with a bunch of guys and was a busy place. My order came really quickly. Impressed with the service. Really enjoyed the onion rings. The burger was spot on - with thick bacon. I had the Ranch Burger with onion rings. Good burger with fresh fixins. I'll definitely be back. The burgers were good and had lots of topping options. The menus would accommodate anybody! The fries and onion rings were amazing! The shake was also very creamy and delicious. It is one of my favorite burger place in Provo, but I would return. It was enjoyable. The staff was so friendly and very educated on the description of items. Also, meager prices!

My husband and I eat here at least once a week. We absolutely love it! He has a double cheeseburger and I have the bacon cheeseburger. My husband also always has the chocolate malt. They have a pretty big menu. So there is definitely something for everyone. The place is very cozy always clean and the workers are very friendly. They also have 3 huge TVs always something to watch. There's plenty of parking and it's location is perfect!

JJ Burger is a bang for your buck. You definitely get a pretty good and filling meal for what you're paying for. Our total bill was about $23 and we ordered two burgers, two sides, and a drink. We ordered the guacamole burger with extra bacon and it was delicious. I wish I had more sauce, but with some of my fry sauce, it tasted pretty good. The fries were fresh and they tasted yummy. The pickles were too strong for me, but I just took a few off and it was fine. It's a good problem to have more than less! We also ordered the western burger, which was way more saucy. I'd say this one was my favorite out of the too. We paired it with tater tots and you can't go wrong with those!! I also have to add, they have the good kind of ice!! Haha I know this is something so silly, but you know those little perfect ice cubes that chick-fil-a has? Yeah they have them, and I swear drinks taste better with them lol. The drinks come with free refills :)

5 stars because they have IRON PORT at the fountain and it's delicious, the ratios are just right. Also, the prices are great, and the food is great. The fries are crisp, the fry sauce is delicious, the burger patties and buns are of excellent quality and in proportion to each other. Service was fast and great, seating is generous and comfort, and they were playing Spongebob, so what's not to like? There's a lot of burger places in Utah county (In-N-Out, 5 Guys, Tommy's Burgers, Chedda Burger, Habit, Red Robin, Backdoor BRGR, Cubby's, etc), and I'll say JJ's is just as good, if not better than the rest. Come and give it a try and get the Iron Port, you will not be disappointed.

Love to find these rare gems. We went in today curious wondering what to get. The employee named LEO was our first good impression. He was helpful in letting us know the recommendations. We decided on the Patrami Burger combo it was delicious. It's a quaint place clean all the workers respectful & happy even delivering the food to the table. Now.... let's talk about the scones.. No wonder these things are so popular you have to try them so yummy! We really enjoyed our choice to try something new and a little hidden. Looking forward for our next visit. Was going to take a photo but I got to hungry and was impressed that I ate before the photos but wanted to write this review as a compliment to good food priced right but excellent customer service... Loved it. Great little burger joint. I love these kinds of small places with great food and reasonable prices. Just a down to earth good burger joint. I loved the burger (bacon Swiss) and BLT. Tater tots were OK. Also, the scones were a very nice little treat. Overall great experience and solid value. I'm really glad we stopped in. read more

JJ Burger has a long history in Provo, having moved from it's long-standing Rocky Mountain Drive-in location on 500W and just off of Center Street. It remains an unpretentious gathering place with a standard menu of acceptable fare in the tradition of classic drive-in eateries. The new name, building, and decor give it a slightly more updated feel while maintaining the things you may have loved about this Provo stalwart. The employees and owners are kind, outgoing, and helpful and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I would not put JJs at the top tier of burgers and sides, but they are far better than anything you will get at global chains and you will feel like you are visiting that old home favorite with friends. read more

Good food, not anything spectacular or that I would crave. But it tasted good and filled us up. The bathroom was awful so maybe don't use it if possible. There was pee and pubic hair on the toilet seat and water leaking on the floor read more

Tried it for the first and between price, quality, and quantity I'd give it 5 stars. The quality is real good for price. Good quality veggies, with good flavor. The patty is slim but it's not bad compared to other places. I wouldn't say this is the best burgers I've had in Utah county but they are nice. read more

I was shocked by the taste of the food. They do their self a disservice by not really keeping a charming atmosphere inside. Now, I don't know how they make their food nor do I know where they source ingredients, but for a 50s style diner burger, this thing was good. Very cheap too. It honestly reminded of a Whataburger. I'm from the south and I grew up eating Whataburger and I was thrown back into my childhood when I took a bite. These patties are not thick, but rather pay homage to the early days of burgers. They make them with mustard and onions and thin patties. I sincerely respect what they are doing here. Our food was fresh and hot and I'm happy. It tasted good. Hell...enjoy. but don't go expecting a steak burger or something. read more

3.5 stars. Saw the excellent reviews and thought we would give this place a try. Overall, it was just good. For me a great burger all comes down to the meat. I usually know I am going to get something great when they ask how I want my meat cooked or if they advertise burgers prepared to medium. The meat here was nothing special with average seasoning. The bun was very good, and the toppings were fine. Overall, I would rank this place on par 5 Guys. There are many burger joints in the area, and this place probably doesn't rank in the top five. I might eat there again if I am in the area, but it's not worth going out of my way for. read more

You know when you stumble into a new place, and you're just so stoked that this unassuming diner/drive-in/dive looks like a hole-in-the-wall but is actually really awesome? I love those places! This is not one of those places. It looks like from other reviews we should have tried fish and chips and scones. Maybe we totally missed the bus here. We ordered an oreo shake that my kids all shockingly refused to eat. I had a taste and learned why--it had a sour, spoiled milk kind of taste to it. So sad. Their chicken nuggets were spongy and awful, which they also refused. The fries however were great! Some salt please, but the fries were the one thing I could say was better than average here. My 1/4 lb burger was solid. Looks nothing like the picture from their website, but it was pretty good. The table we sat at looked clean but it was sticky, and the bathroom was downright scary. read more

My family enjoys walks around downtown Provo and has always wanted to try JJ Burger. We went on a Wednesday early supper and the place was empty. The staff were welcoming and following proper covid protocols. I ordered the western burger which is kind of like a BBQ cheeseburger with fries. The wife got her customary mushroom swiss with fries. One thing I loved was a cream soda (don't remember the brand- iron something) from the soda fountain. Both burgers were tasty and the fries were golden brown deliciousness. One very small complaint I have is that the patties are 1/4 pound instead of 1/3 pound like other places. But I won't hold that against them. Would be a five star review if not for the awkward bathroom layout. Seriously check it out. read more

Everything was fried to perfection! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We went to a carnival before this and didn't want to wait in the long lines, so we went here instead. We made the right choice as we still got to have a foot long corndog and it was much better than what we would have gotten at the carnival. We also got the cod fish with English chips and a scone. read more

I've been here twice in three days because my son loves this place. It's pretty good, but the lady working Saturday night wasn't very friendly or nice compared to the lovely people working on Thursday during lunch. Standouts for us are the cheeseburger (double cheeseburger is actually a little better - meatier) and the English chips (way better than their fries which we didn't love). The shake was too thick to drink like a traditional shake. It was more like a blizzard or concrete, but my son enjoyed it made with peanut butter cups. I'll definitely be back when I'm next in town. There are some interesting items on the menu that I'd like to try. read more

When it comes to burger places in Provo the item thing that really sets up the playing field is pastrami burger. Nearly every burger restaurant has one. I really felt like they had the worst pastrami burger out of all the places I've been to. The burger just kinda seemed dry. There wasn't much flavor to it. read more

The part that stood out the most was that not only was our waitress checking in on us, the other waitstaff would come by and ask how we were doing as well. The owner came over to chat with us too. She came up, introduced herself, asked how our meal was, and we talked with her for several minutes to follow. I appreciated that experience. I highly recommend trying Backdoor BRGR if you haven't yet! The pricing was fair, the staff is amazing, the owner is a sweetheart, and the food is incredible.

JJ Burger has a lot going for it, starting with their wonderful staff. The team was incredibly nice and gracious, making the experience feel welcoming right from the start. Don't bring your kids here. They will request for them to be quiet if they are being noisy. My family walks by here often and my son had been asking to come here, finally when we come he was super excited and was being a bit noisy, and they requested us to have him be quiet. I asked the employee why she requested that because we thought he wasn't being too noisy. We would have shut him if that was case and she was extremely rude saying he being too loud. He was not being too loud no one else was bothered except her. She then apologized but when I asked her why she wants requested that she didn't respond as if she was sorry. If you come here don't bring your kids or else you'll be asked to be quiet in a very rude manner read more
