Great coffee! Nice employees. My fav part of this place is the shop next door. I love to sip my coffee and walk around looking at trinkets.

Jitters is a great place for a Latte. The staff is very helpful and prompt with your drink and the muffins are good too!! It's a nice place to go and enjoy a cup of Jo. read more

My coffee was so good! I got a white chocolate mocha and it was lovely(: Customer service was great and relatively quick. The only downside was the burritos are pretty expensive for how small they are. read more

13 years and Always good coffee great servers and warm atmosphere. I recommend to anyone in the area.

I love Jitters. It's cozy, intimate, and just feels good to be sitting there with a cup of coffee and a friend. They are pretty quick with service, the atmosphere is perfect and it's always busy which should tell you people love it here. Coffee is great and so is all the food they serve. read more

Jitters is consistently the very best coffee place in Alaska! Our family has been coming here for many years. The staff is great and give great customer service. The coffee and everything else is delicious! read more

Great coffee and pastries! Scones were not too sweet which I appreciate. Really liked the look too. They also have stickers, art prints and t-shirts for sale of you want to look around while waiting for your coffee. read more

Jitters is the best coffee shop in the north-of-Anchorage area. It is a quaint, even-keel shop with local Alaskan vibes and flavor (literally). I love the fact that they have local baked goods on the counter for purchase. Clearly their vetting process for baked goods is very thorough because they are always delicious! The coffee here is great, too. They have a decent variety for all different palates, which is great because I like my coffee light and sweet, while my wife likes her's darker and more bitter. Seating is pretty good as far as coffee shops are concerned. There are plenty of tables and chairs throughout, but weekend mornings the shop can get pretty congested...all the more reason to show up early! read more

The best coffee I've ever had as well as amazing Italian sodas, hot coffee, and red bull smoothie it's a great locally owned business that gives back to the community in so many ways read more

We had a sandwich and our friends had the quiche. The food was delicious. The service was quick. We had been here 10 years ago, and found it quite charming, so when we flew up to Alaska again, we wanted to return. It was a Sunday noonish time. The place was full. It was good to get a seat. The service was kind and helpful. Yes, I would come again. read more

Best mochas I've had! Drive through can be a bit of a wait but it's worth it for the great coffee and great customer service! Try the berry scones, so yummy! read more

Pretty average coffee shop. The gluten free muffins are my highlight of coming here. The coffee isn't Starbucks, so that's a plus. The quality of my beverage varies trip to trip, depending on who's working. The staff is mainly made up of chatty students who seem more interested in gossiping and talking about school than making coffee. That's not to say they aren't friendly- they are super sweet! They always make me feel welcome and ask me about my day. I'm just used to my old cafe, which treated coffee making as an art form. Perhaps I'm just high maintenance. ;) The wireless is spotty, so it's not ideal for doing work, but the music they play is good. I might be biased because I walked in once and heard my wedding song (The Call by Regina Spektor) over the speakers. The atmosphere is warm- there's even a fireplace! I haven't been here when it wasn't crowded, so it seems to be a local favorite. However, that means I occasionally have trouble finding a table near a wall socket and away from the front door. All in all, I'll keep coming back out of convenience. There are sandwiches and coffee and some days I'm too lazy to make my own. You know how it goes. read more

5 stars for the coffee & tea 1 star for the food- so averaging 3 stars. +: if you are up for just hanging with some coffee to relax or meet up with someone, the atmosphere here is good, just recommend not getting anything from the kitchen. -: we ordered 2 sandwiches that came out completely different that we ordered. it took forever to get on a short lunch break and we were disappointed about the sandwiches but didn't have time to reorder by the time it was out. talking w/ friends, evidently this has been happening A LOT lately and for at least several weeks. i came back later that day b/c it was on the way home to get something warm and when i told the cashier about the sandwich issue, she didn't even give a discount, which is what i would have done if a customer said they spent $15 for something but got something completely different but was willing to give the place a second try. read more

Prompt service and very friendly. They have a little bit of everything for any dietary needs. Bathrooms are clean, and you can carry your coffee over inside to the cool store that has the neatest gifts. You can't explain their inventory-just cool things and not things you see everywhere. Prefect to get a gift for someone. Only con to this place and not their fault, but the outside strip mall parking has a few pot holes that could cause the driver to exclaim some colorful words. read more

Love this place; reminds me of how life "can be" if I was blessed to live in a small community. Visiting friends and visiting Jitters is as close as I'll get however, and I'm thankful. Great food, friendly baristas, wonderful selection of pleasing pastries. read more

A lovely place! I enjoyed the coffee and the breakfast burrito. On the pricy side for the food. But I enjoyed the whole package.

Sometimes I stop in here for local cup of coffee along the main strip in Eagle River. The coffee isn't bad (though I prefer stronger) and the prices are medium-high. The cafe is usually well occupied so finding a spot to relax is sometimes not so relaxing. The food is ok. I like the muffins and an occasional scone. Service is friendly. The artwork on the walls is a draw for me. Sometimes it's a photo contest (e.g, for Bear Paw) or something from local artists. That is one feature that differentiates Jitters and lures me in. read more

Nothing special but REALLY rude employees. I won't go back based on the attitude of the employees. She literally walked away from me while I was talking. When I let her know I wasn't done she snapped at me. I will happily get my coffee from a place that has time for customers and greets with a smile. First and last time. read more

It's the best place in Eagle River to just stop for a break and grab a drink and/or a bite to eat! I have a lot of friends that work here since it's a lot of local students so I always love to stop by and support a local business. The lattes and other drinks have a much richer taste than the nearby national chains of coffee shops like Starbucks, so I prefer to stop here, especially when I'm looking for a place to just relax and get a little snack! read more

Always great service, nice atmosphere, and good coffee! Love meeting friends there and sitting by the fire!

No pancakes, no sausage... pass if you want real breakfast. Coffee smells good but why say breakfast and brunch if your breakfast menu is tiny. Unless you want a muffin or ham and cheese go somewhere else read more

Always friendly whether it's the drive up truck or inside. Coffee is always good. We don't eat here often but they usually have some gluten free offerings which pleases me ;-) read more

Nice ambience. Good place to sit down and chat over coffee. The coffee itself is hit and miss. Sometimes good, sometimes burned; consistently so. read more

Really love this place. The menu is huge and the many options all taste great. (Tried a gluten free brownie out of curiosity and loved it) The prices are pretty decent and the decor is super cute. The few times I've been here, i have enjoyed it. It does have a slight stuck up feel, and im not a huge fan of their coffee. (Too strong lol) read more

Since moving to Oregon I have yet to find a coffee joint with the same type of fantastic home town customer service and friendliness. I'm not a fan of the breakfast burritos but their soups and sandwiches are great. My FAV coffee is the "Bennie Ben Ben" with almond milk - mmmmmmmmmm thanks for creating it, Ben!!! I think the only negative thing I could say about jitters is that it is 900° inside the building at all times other than that, it's the place to meet a friend in Eagle River for a great cup of coffee and comfortable environment! read more

This place is a locals favorite. Cute, cozy, warm place to get together. The coffee is great.

Solid cup of coffee, quick service and good selection of pastries/snacks. Cute shop "Picture This" is right next door.

Coffee is great but the amount of people who brings their kids and lounge there for hours at a time make it impossible to actually get a seat. Nice group of locals I suppose it's a nice problem to have being over crowded all the time. They try to turn it into a Seattle time lounge with folk singers, which is a mistake read more

I love everything about this spot! Best breve mocha I've ever had. The iced pumpkin cookie is fresh and soft and the chocolate pumpkin bread is perfection. The staff is wonderful and it is so cozy and wonderfully Alaska inside. Come for music on certain nights too! Woop woop! It is an Eagle River "must" really. read more

I liked Jitters for a small town coffee shop. The only reason they didnt get 5 stars from me was the pastry I got was a little bit dry.

Jitters is Eagle River's living room. It is warm, friendly and laid back. They also happen to make excellent coffee, roasted by local Alaska coffee legends, the Kaladi Brothers. The jitters blend is very close to Red Goat blend for those who are Kaladi fans and it is a medium roast with a smooth cocoa aftertaste. Their food is average, but this is a coffee shop, not a bistro, so I don't knock them for that. The drive through coffee truck in the parking lot works when you are in a hurry, but if there are more than two cars in line, going inside, where they often have two baristas and a cashier during peak hours is often faster. read more

I am in love with my coffee in the morning. Actually my job required me to get up so early, i was sometimes the first customer in the morning. I would stop there every single morning to get my pick me up just so i could survive the day. I usually ordered something different every time i went. Starbucks was just down the street and i didn't go there not once when i live in E.R. I loved jitters and the memories it gave me. When it was 30 below 0 out, i would just sit inside nest to the fire, read a paper or check my email. Sometimes i ordered a delicious bagel sandwich, but i usually got a scone or some breakfast pastry. God I'm just dreaming about now. The staff was quick and friendly, the environment was welcoming and made me feel at home. One place i will never forget about living in Alaska was jitters. They made my year! read more

Their coffee was delicious, but a bit overpriced. Honestly, the main reason I'm giving 3 stars is because we went into the shop attached to the coffee shop and some white lady followed us around awkwardly as if she was waiting for us to steal something. Could have done without that, JUDY. read more

Love this little coffee shop. A variety of gluten free products and pumpkin pie caramel lattes. Baker has not arrived to make pumpkin bread yet. Possibly later today. We may stop on our way back. Banana bread and raspberry scone melt in your mouth. read more

Awesome homemade food, pastries, desserts and coffee! I'm from Texas and I fell in love with this place!

I like to think I'm a coffee snob and jitters has the Best coffee and customer service!

Jitters has done a marvelous job through the years of improving everything from coffee or tea and muffins to sandwiches. Every time I eat there the food and service is fresh and top notch. All of the employees call you by your name if you've been going there for even a short time. The restrooms are always impeccably clean. Plus, it is nice to bump into your friends and neighbors. The owners make certain from the moment you walk in the door, that you are comfortable. read more

An awesome local coffee shop. Have been coming here for years. I enjoy the border mocha. If you are in or going past Eagle River it's worth the stop. They serve Kaladi Brothers Coffee which is brewed locally in Alaska. If you don't have time to stop in they also have a drive up coffee stand in the parking lot. read more

Jitters - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Eagle River, Alaska

See all

I go to coffee shops for (shocker...) the coffee. And I had a great cup of Jitters blend, a medium roast that was super tasty. Friendly baristas and customers, and a well done and large inside. I'd hang out and get coffee here any day over Starbucks. read more

I used to LOVE this place but the quality has gone down drastically in the past couple years. One girl I noticed had been working here for years but she's always got a chip on her shoulder. They are always screwing up orders and even when I order the same thing time and time again, they always charge me different prices which makes no sense... the pastries and food are food 1 out of 3 times. Last couple times I was in and tried their muffins I got eggs shells, not once, but twice now. They also have a minimum you can run on your car which no other coffee shops do, which is losing them business. read more
