Grabbed lunch based on 4 star Yelp rating. Szechuan wontons were tough, seemed fried instead of steamed, sauce was ok. Sesame chicken was dry, doughy and tough, the chicken pieces were overcooked. Sauce again was ok. Fried rice was about average, no peas, not much char siu pork. Half went in the garbage. When I am in the mood for Chinese take out there is only one place in Rochester I go to. I have been coming to this place for years and never got a bad meal. They make the best Sesame chicken around! If you call ahead they will have your order ready in about 10 minutes. Not in the best area but I don't care I am in and out of there in no time. (LOL) The shrimp fried rice is really good and they pack a ton of it in those small cartons. Also for the first time I used my credit card there. Tried for the first time today. Was good. Pretty standard Chinese fare for rochester. Just lunch take out. Chicken with garlic sauce, hot and sour soup and steamed rice. Soup was very good. One of the best in rochester! And I've had a number of bad ones lately. Entree was average. Strange thing in Rochester: the garlic sauce around town used to be a brown savory sauce without too much sugar. Now it seems to be a fluorescent pink sauce, syrupy and super sweet void of any spice. Makes me think the take outs all use the same supplier now. So that being said, the meat and veggies in the dish were plentiful and fresh. Service was fine, value was excellent. read more

This is one of the few places we will go for "fast" Chinese Food. My favorite is Chicken Mei Fun - thin vermicelli rice noodles with chicken, egg, and veggies. They also have excellent chicken wings - everyone I know who's eaten them loves them. read more

last 4 times my family has gotten food and we usually spend at least $60 or more each time we drive to city for our Chinese place it's been spoiled meat in our chicken lo mein the sesame chicken the chicken soup had raw meat strips not cooked by hot water!! chicken lo mein was greasy noodles no veggies and few pieces of chicken pork fried rice in bottom of all meals had spoiled pork!! since the parents aren't there all the time anymore the son doesn't care abt the customers. he pretends he doesn't understand or just says ya ya ya. seriously wtf!! someone else will uy if u don't is a bad attitude to have when u make people sick!!! well u have got me sick for 4 months now cause we drive 45 minutes to get screwed 4 times!! at $60 each trip and our gas!!! used to be a trip once a week now why should we bother please fix this bad practice of spoiled food u serve ur customers!!! kids r d enough to take care of the business so do it without ur parents having to stand over urban shoulder to see ur not running the business in the ground!! the parents r great business people!! not the kids running things now!! Jing Hui provides quick, friendly service for very reasonable prices (and although I don't think she works there anymore, one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen used to give me complimentary soda with my orders no matter how small...ah well, I digress). My favorite dishes (in no particular order) are boneless spareribs, any chicken stir-fry with lighter sauces (e.g. chow mein, moo goo gai pan, etc.), and their "hot wings" - the best Asian-style wings in the city imo. Btw, you must ask for the hotwings by name, as they are not the same as the whole wings featured in the appetizer section of the menu; they are not very hot by any means, but they if you enjoy a modest, spicy kick, you'll like these. My girlfriend likes their General Tso's chicken as well. They also have combination type dinners, perfect for takeout and enjoying along with a movie at home on a cold, rainy Rochester night -- Some Asian films that I would humbly suggest are: "Farewell My Concubine", "The Last Emperor", "Raise the Red Lantern", "Lost in Beijing", "Drunken Master", "Oldboy" (I know it's Korean), or "The King of Masks". read more
