Avoid Jin Cuisine Restaurant at all costs. They don't honor the prices on their printed menus, but instead charge whatever they want at the time. I went into the Jin Cuisine Chinese restaurant in the Crabapple Shopping Center, where Kroger is located, to place a take-out order. On the printed menu they had on the counter, the item was listed as costing $9.45. When the employee went to ring it up, they wanted to charge me $13.55 for the item. I objected and the employee said that due to their cost increases, the prices had gone up. So I asked why the menu wasn't changed. They said it cost too much to reprint the menus with new prices. My feeling is that they should have at least one menu, with the corrected prices, on the counter for customers to see their current prices before the customer places an order. They said it would be too much work to correct the menu every time they change prices. I feel what they are doing doesn't seem like it should be legal. Having a printed menu with one price, then charging a higher price with no warning to the customer. If I can figure out which governmental agency to report them to, I would report them. In the meantime, I say to everyone to just avoid going to that restaurant. I won't be going there but instead go to the new Chinese restaurant over on Etris Rd., a short distance away. read more

We have eaten here happily since they opened many years ago. They were always able to create safe gluten-free food until today. When I ordered my typical dish (which comes in a brown sauce), it came with a tasteless white sauce and gave me a strong reaction -- I was glutened. Sadly, I cannot return. read more

Horrible, won ton soup ordered a quart got 4 wontons, nothing else in soup. Ordered vegetable fried rice got dried up brown rice. Moo shu, flavorless, sweet and sour chicken, nothing but batter and mostly raw. Egg rolls raw. Go into town and get Vietnamise. We took bites of everything and tried to have good thoughts but it all went in the garbage. read more

Twice I've tried this place and twice it's been mediocre. The first time, I actually ate at the restaurant, which was kind of awkward. Even though they have tables, they are clearly not used to having customers actually dine inside. :-) It's more of an order pickup joint. The second time, I stopped by and ordered some chicken in garlic sauce. Ended up being pretty bland, including the fried rice. I really love supporting my local spots, but I am afraid I won't be going back. There are better places. read more

Got some takeout the other night. Was extremely disappointed. We got egg rolls some pot stickers and a couple of entrees. Ate a bite of each and promptly threw out everything. Beef tasted as if boiled not cooked in wok. Egg rolls were entirely cabbage, couldn't find another veggie inside. Pot stickers tasted like jimmy dean sausage was the filling. Maybe someone like this place they've been here forever, but I'm scared to meet that person. Maybe a really bad night, but, nope. Not going back to find out. read more

It was Thanksgiving in Alpharetta... and we were full of turkey and turkey leftovers! But we wanted to decorate the house for Christmas and didn't want to go out! So we called Jin Cuisine (or Jin Cousin - how my dad pronounced it). We placed our order over the phone, got in the car, drove 5 minutes, and when we arrived, our food was ready. Quantity of food: excellent! Too much for one person - could potentially share. Quality - good! Your typical Americanized Chinese. Value - excellent! American Chinese food is fantastic and one of my weaknesses. I work in Sandy Springs and eat at Canton Cooks II about every week. But I live near Crabapple and needed a nearby Chinese eatery to home. Jin Cuisine is a hole in the wall in a strip mall by Kroger by the three silos. Ordering on-line is easy for take out. Excellent egg drop soup, tasty pork egg foo yong and delicious crab Rangoon. Wow!!! I literally just had some of the best Chinese in my life. The House Mei Fun was absolutely fabulous. Shrimp had amazing flavor and were cooked perfectly. Had high expectations but turned out horrible. *this review is based on thai food at Jin's* I have ordered a chicken basil fried rice - It is not the best i had. Chicken was over cooked, there were literally no vegetables in it, way too oily ended up drinking bottles of water and it was bland. The worst part is there wasnt plastic ware in my box. When i have asked the person over the counter she did confirm they had one in the box. Pathetic! Not good service. Never going back. read more

All I can say is I won't be going back. The garlic chicken was terrible. The vegetables were saturated in the sauce that they were all dark brown, and there was very little meat in the dish. I usually take a picture of food I LOVE. I apologize, I ate it. This place is GREAT. It is my honor to share why, so lets start at the beginning. It has some of the best soups I have ever had. I have been wanting my husband to try Tom Yum for ever. He likes hot and sour and then loads it with hot chili oil. Well, he finally ordered Tom Yum and I am so glad it was from here. He loved it. I ordered the Coconut Soup and was impressed as well. It isn't the sweet coconut soup that you will find other places (though I like that too). This was packed with depth and flavor. There is a thin layer of chili oil on this soup as well so if you don't like any spice, let them know. Because I had ALL of my quart of soup, I went with lettuce wraps from the appetizer menu next and they were great. It was good too, but I should have ordered something stronger to stand up to the flavors still lingering from the delicious soup. My husband ordered the Mongolian beef and enjoyed it as well. This is our new spot. The family who owns and operates are great too. Now I can mark find great take out close to the grocery store off my list, it is next door. Saw the 5 stars for this place so decided to try. Fantastic FRESH chinese and Thai dishes. No frills, nothing fancy, but the food is outstanding. The restaurant is very clean and light inside. The family that runs the business is very friendly and helpful. One of my favorite things was how clean it was without swelling like cleaners . I have been in a few places where I couldn't eat because of the overwhelming smell of cleaners , so I love it when I go into a restaurant that is odorless unless it's the the fragrance of foods . We enjoyed the egg drop soup. I tried sweet and sour soup for the first time and quite liked it . I loved the freshness and crispness of the vegetables especially the water chestnuts !! Well the pic on House mei fun looked great, so I decided to try something different. So sorry I did.. was really a pile of noodles. I really had to search to find a shrimp or a piece of meat in there. My friend got Moo Goo Gai pan and enjoyed it. His chicken was 10 times the size of mine. Just five weeks open have found myself here on Sundays for lunch. Friendly couple running the place. Food is made quickly and if want something not on the menu ask they may just make it for you. Decided to try a new Chinese restaurant and found Jin. The Mongolian chicken was great. The kung pao shrimp was absolutely horrible. We order both of these dishes anytime we order Chinese. Very rude. The woman at the register just decided to give me whatever she wanted. I ordered a lunch special no rice extra broccoli. She pays me on the shoulder and says we have you rice you can just not eat that part. I opened the tray and it's half rice 4 pieces of broccoli and an egg roll. I wanted most of my lunch waiting so I didn't have time to have it remade. We ate here for the first time today, and it was delicious! The food was very flavorful, well cooked, and not greasy. We had the chicken and broccoli, pork lo mein, and chicken and vegetables.
