Best auto repair shop I've ever used. Jim and his assistant, Shannon, understand the value of honesty, integrity and customer service.

I needed someone to jump start my car and check the battery. It was not working after some days of…read moreit having trouble turning on. I assumed it was the battery. The mechanic shop was not far from my location, a mere 15 min or so. He was currently at another job when I called him. What was used was a simple and small digital checker and the jump start and I was charged $125 for it. Which seemed like way too much for so little. But as I was given what seemed like useful information about the battery and what mechanics do to steal your money for little work and I really needed the jump, it was fine for this one time. Then I was asked to leave a good review for the job. Then as a few days passed, the car no longer started back up again. I was told the battery had enough life in it for it to charge after an hour of having the engine on. Now it is completely dead. He mentioned before that it was at a low percentage but that I did not need to replace it. He then said in the long run, I may need to do so in the future, but that I had time. With my car not starting at all, I gave him a call to ask about a battery replacement. He then said he would replace it for free. All I had to do was go buy the battery. He mentioned before that he would take off the $125 from the battery replacement should I ever need one. I asked if they sold batteries and I was told I had to go to AutoZone to purchase one. I did not understand the situation. He made it seem like he would take off the price I already paid from the new purchase of the battery. It was not apparently so. He said he was not charging me for the labor. Which coincidently cost the same as the battery check and jump. 125. So, in fact I paid for a jump and battery check that is free in some places (which he later says that they charge for this service, and it cost the same) and now had to pay for a new battery, another 190 or so, and not be charged an extra 125 for labor. When I had complained about the cost, he then said to just forget about it and just get the battery. That he would do it for free. Again, I was under the assumption the cost would come out of the battery not the labor as it only takes minutes to pop the battery out and back in, using just a wrench. I saw what the AutoZone guy did and no wonder they do it as a courtesy, it would be ridiculous to charge anything for the simplicity of it. But for those who do not know how to do it, YouTube pretty much showed the same thing. So, in conclusion, I spent unnecessary money to jump and check my battery only to purchase a new battery. Then I was made to feel like I was being helped by not charging me $125 for labor on replacing the battery. So, in fact, he did not actually help me at all. It ended with me feeling used and I lost good money and with my car not starting. I will no longer ask for their assistance and will let others know that they should research how to get things done and where, before they pay money to people who apparently do not know how to actually help.
