Wonderful family owned business. Joe and his team are honest and hard working people. I highly recommend this place if you want fair prices and honesty. So, I am an idiot and have been taking my car to the dealership I bought it at for years (see my review of Honda). Honda ripped me off openly telling me I needed a part that I changed myself that month (cabin air filter). And tried to up charge it for $80. This is an item that cost me $15 at pep boys and takes less than 30 seconds to change. It's so easy, even I can do it and I am not car savvy in any way, shape or form. I haven't trusted them since and looked for a local mechanic. I gave Joe and his team the Honda multi point inspection that highlights everything wrong with my car totaling over $2K. Joe explained simply and understandably that not everything on there needed to be done immediately. He said Honda was up selling stuff to me that could wait for another oil change or 2 (or 3) until it needed to be done. This team works quickly and efficiently. Excellent customer service!! One of my windows was stuck/jammed and I was driving with one of my windows open in the snow/rain! I called so many different places and no one was willing to assist me with my car last minute. I called Paramus Park Service center and explained my situation. They were nice enough to provide information and fix my car. They were busy with other people, but still took the time to help. They fixed my car right away and the price was very reasonable. I am somewhat amazed at the excellent reviews for this service station as that has not been my experience. I brought my 1987 Corvette to Joe because the engine light came on and it didn't idle correctly. He replaced the Mass Air Flow, air cleaner, soldered some connections and said it was fixed. It wasn't. I stored the car over the Winter, visiting and taking it for a ride twice monthly, and it wouldn't idle. I went to see Joe (who is always 'frantically' busy) in the Winter and he said he was too busy and I should call in the Spring. I went to see him in May and he said to call him the end of the week to make an appointment. I did....no one answered the phone, so I left a message and no one returned the call. I called the next week and he told me he did something to his wrist, was in a soft cast and he was taking care of "paying customers" and I should call back in July. I'm trying to sell the car and need the issue for which I paid, to be resolved NOW ! I have friends with classic Corvettes who have also had issues with Joe's service center. I understand he is busy but if he's going to take a customer's money he should satisfy the issues he supposedly fixed. For these reasons, I would not recommend his Service center. read more

My car broke down with transmission troubles and was scared to death that it was going to cost an arm and a leg.. my friend recommended these guys to get me back and running again and they were great. Against my better judgment I ended up having Joe do the diagnostic work on my car. From the time I walked in two weeks before he performed the EVAP test he was rude, inattentive and didn't want to listen to anything I had to say about the issue I was having with the car. I ended up going here because it was a block from work and I could walk to pick up the car. His labor rate is very high for a small independent shop ($95) He was rude and angry that I declined the work for a new EVAP canister. $280 in parts and labor for a Dorman canister I can get online for $68! I fixed the "cracked" EVAP canister for 4 bucks with some gasket maker and seam sealer. If I wanted to pay a high labor rate and be treated like a dumb customer who doesn't know anything about cars I would have gone to the dealer! I would NEVER take my car back to him and his attitude and pricing is the reason I do my own repairs. I don't own a smoke machine and it wasn't work my time and money to do the diagnostics myself. I had hoped there would be a mechanic out there I could work with. There still maybe but Joe is not that guy. read more
