I requested wheel balancing and alignment for my 2017 Subaru Forester, after acquiring new tires from Costco. Guys says, don't they do balancing at Costco? I wasn't sure. He says, well I'll check; and if you don't need it, I won't charge you (who says that?!!,..) They call me back in about an hour. Job's done. And sure enough, they don't charge me for the balancing. This place is more expensive than the Goodyear or Firestone Service centers. But, suspension, brakes,.. undercarriage work is ALL they do,.. and do well. I'm thoroughly satisfied. I called Hackensack Auto Spring & Wheel Alignment for a front-end alignment in June of 2023. One of their mechanics asked me to leave the vehicle and they would see exactly what the car needed. Later that morning he called stating additional parts needed to be replaced or repaired. I permitted him to complete the job. They had to weld the front sway bar because of rust and said they would try to order a new or used replacement part. It's now September and they called to follow-up. Even if they couldn't locate the part, a call would have let me know they were at least concerned about a customer. I called today and their sarcastic attitude prompted me to write this review. After several attempts to refresh his memory of our car, their constant reply was they handle so many cars a day. The next wise comment was, I'm sorry your car is a 2004, its old and we don't do auto restorations. After listening to him go on and on in defense of his know-it-all stance, I politely said why does this call have to be so difficult, and he laughed. Then I stated okay, I'll just take our car somewhere else then. Shockingly they just hung up in my ear. I've been working on cars since I was 14 years old and understand all aspects of a vehicle. I changed professions after college however I still have a clear working knowledge of most things. It's very disappointing to know a business can treat their customers in such a manner. read more

This shop used to be one of the best in Northern New Jersey. Unfortunately, it has change tremendously. Right front the start, the woman at the front desk has a negative attitude. I brought my car for an alignment and 15 minutes later they told me it could not be done because I needed to replace some parts. They used to charge $0 for a diagnostics, then it went up to $20 and now they are charging people $40 dollars. I asked them why I was not told before hand I could get charged $40, and they said "angrily" they are signs all over. A mechanic responded "we would not be in business for 50 fucking years if we were assholes" I felt threatened. I paid, and walked right out. read more

I took my 2013 Jeep Wrangler to this location for a wheel alignment today as recommended by my mechanic since mine doesn't do the Aligment. Upon running the diagnostic test(?) while I'm waiting in the waiting room, they told me mine doesn't need the Wheel Alignment and told me to just go, saying they're not charging me anything. I'm more pleasantly surprised by their honesty than not getting charged anything for their time. They are very pleasant to deal with, too.
