The owner is elderly about 80 years old but very nice and cordial. I ordered a small sausage and onion pizza. From the moment I walked in the door, which was non functional and hard to close, I started to walk back out because it didn't look clean and I didn't want to get sick given that I had contracted sepsis and the norovirus from eating at a restaurant in Pelham on February 15, 2025. Nonetheless, I went in and ordered against my better judgment because the place had been given good reviews on Nextdoor. After I ordered my Greek salad and pizza, I watched the owner go in the back and cut the lettuce, onion, and green pepper up on the same table the repair man was repairing a motor for one of his appliances. Not someone with my experience being sick from norovirus should have walked out, but I didn't. I wanted to give the place a chance. Next, I watched him piddle around doing things and then go to the oven and take out the pizza without washing his hands. Again, I should have walked out but I didn't. I got home and ate a couple of slices of the pizza and it had red onions on it which I don't like on my pizza plus it was dry because it was cooked too long. The salad was decent but I don't think I will go back because that place ascetically doesn't look clean and the food is not handled properly. This is the umpteen time I have listened to folk on Nextdoor rave about a restaurant only to try it and it sucks. read more

I'm not from Mamaraneck but have stopped in there when whenever I've gone through for 45yrs and Jimmy has been behind that counter making pizza each and every time. No one else. As I pulled up to Jimmy's pizza, there is parking in front or side of the restaurant with a parking lot in the back. I observed seating inside and outside. Apparently, this is a popular place as there were a lot of people ahead of me. Jimmy, the owner/ chef was very professional! I ordered a large cheese pizza for dining in. The pizza was AWESOME! A darn good pizza shop in Westchester county ,(mamaroneck,) thats better then most pizza joint in NYC. Good variety of pizza slices, heroes, entrees , etc. Stopped by to grab a few large pies and chicken Parm dishes to go and food is still good as always . My only peeve is the wait as it took about 30 minutes for my order to arrive , but it was worth the wait . Jimmys Pizza is now OPEN again and just a few doors north from his original location. This new place is clean, intimate and more like a restaurant than a pizza joint. The pizza is amazing as always and Jimmy and Olga are wonderful and serve delicious thin crust cheese pan pizza unlike ANY pizza you have ever had. I swear I think I stumbled into a witness protection program front. One guy working in A Place With No Air Conditioning and the door closed in 98° Heat, and one pizza sitting on a trade visible about 30 ft away in the back. SKETCHY! No drinks available or for sale except for a fountain soda with logos of about 10 years ago - not a bottle in sight. This place got a great review on Nextdoor so I took a ride there. He had one little slice left, I needed two. The woman working there was with friends and told them she had to make pizza. He asked if I wanted the little, and I mean little slice while I waited. I considered it until I saw that the guy loading the soda machine wasn't wearing a mask and was chatting away. Jimmys is as good as it gets!!! I live down the road and get a pizza on wednesdays almost once a week (10 dollar pie special) for the last 3 and a half years. Consistently, the pizza is of mouth watering flavor and amazingly has no imperfections.... ever! The pie is done in a greek pan style, so the large pie is slightly smaller than a usual italian style. The price accommodates nicely, $12 or $10 (a pie) on wednesday special. The large pie is good for two very hungry people, or three normal appetites. Jimmy's Pizza is a little known secret in mamaroneck, and in my opinion, better than all the others including Sal's in terms of flavor, texture, and consistency. I don't know what Gary M. is talking about when we says Jimmy is not nice. He is stern when he talks, but this is just his greek accent and demeanor. Over the years, I have gotten to know Jimmy fairly well, and can say he is a wonderful person. Jimmy is passionate and it is obvious that he loves his work, which I think is rare this day in age. He himself makes all the pies, and is the only employee. And he has been in business for at least 10 years (probably much more), which is a fine test of time. Nearly every pie I order, Jimmy opens the box to present the masterpiece that he has created and gives a wholesome and humble smile. I am looking at the pie transformed to a little kid again thinking.. I can't wait to eat this!!! It is so good!!! I've talked to Jimmy about his ingredients, and he told me that the secret is, that he uses the top quality flour, cheese and he makes his own sauce...every time. I have also tried the gyro here, and... it is also amazing!! One of the best I've ever had. I'm sure everything on the menu has that extra Jimmy care. The pizza is delicious albeit it in a bizarre way, that is far from gourmet. I have a craving that only can only be satisfied by this pizza! Make sure you eat the pizza once it cools of a bit so all the cheese doesn't slide off. Tastes kinda like dollar pizza from the city plus a mixture of it's own thing. Very unassuming location, but if you decide to give this place a chance you will be very pleasantly surprised. Just moved out of the city and was desperate for a good pizza spot. After trying them all I think this pizza is better than all the other places in Mamaroneck. We've picked up from there 5 times now and the pizza never disappoints. This was the best pizza I've ever eaten, not a doubt. This is not the place to come for large, gimmicky slices like penne a la vodka or chicken parm etc. This is where you go for incredibly fresh, simply delicious pies. Order a fresh one, you can probably eat a small pie on your own (kind of a personal size pie) and it's less than $10.
