My bf works at Google, so we stopped here one day when there was no Google breakfast. It was surprisingly super spacious and very clean inside. The whole place was practically empty on a Friday morning. I think they serve mostly the tech employees, but it's a decent spot for cheap eats. The food itself was yummy, but it wasn't spectacular. I was slightly biased working out of an office in this building, but this place has been the best on-campus food provider in my professional career. Andrea, the lead here, is just an amazing chef. I mean, if you were ever curious what sorta food google employees get, just come here. They supply all the food for Google in the next building over. My favorites here are too numerous to list, but the menu has changed a bit since I first started coming here. Unfortunately, with the business side of things not doing as well, they had to make some cuts (like full service sandwich bar as well as cutting back coffee bar hours). The coffee bar offers stumptown coffee and it's always super good. I no longer work out of this office and early afternoon coffee breaks here are something I miss the most. I will say that their offering of beer and wine while a nice option is something that just felt too awkward for me to ever order. I don't want my coworkers seeing me drinking beers on my quick lunch breaks lol. Another request would be for Andreas lemon white chocolate cookies. It's not fair that you only make them for google and special office events!! The chocolate chip are nice but the lemon cookies are clearly the best and you should offer them to everyone! read more

After reading for other reviews, decided to try it out. The burger of the week : chicken with avocado sandwich was good. But I wished the chicken was chicken breast and not ground chicken. However the chicken was cooked perfect with moistness and a slight herbal flavor like rosemary. The seating was comfortable and air conditioned. One could sit inside or outside on the patio. Because the patio faces North you don't get direct sunlight. So outdoor seating is good for most times of the year for lunch. The price is quite reasonable for fresh cooked burgers and sandwiches. Fries were a little on the high side for a small pile : $2. To access the location as a visitor one has to enter from the North/Northwest side of the Arris building, which is next to a Google building. read more

New lunch option in the area for those that work around Sorrento Valley area. Great daily specials including hot dishes, salads and grilled sandwich and burger options. this place does not get that crowded like Sorrento food court with the Qualcomm crowd which is a plus. I usually go the food truck route for convenience but this place is close to the office and actually cheaper than the food truck options in a lot of cases. I've been here twice last week since i was i was told about the place and I can see myself being a regular here. I haven't had the chance to try their Stumptown coffee but I'm sure I will. Jimmys is a quick walk from my place of business so it scores high in the convenience factor! I also LOVE the staff here - they're so nice and friendly and love talking to you about your day. I really enjoy the atmosphere - a great place to catch up and catch a break from the day. There breakfast and lunch services are awesome and they offer a great variety for a quick bite to eat, including build your own omelets like I got this AM. Prices are ok, a little high on certain items unless you work on campus. read more

it saddens me to give out this review! I been going to Jimmys since they open, I have literally more than 20 check-ins sometimes you just forget to do it, anyhow! Service and food use to be great! Lots of options and friendly customer service! I truly believe that since their prices went up, their service and food suffered! Today we went in and ordered a burger with fries which comes out to about 10 dollars, food was ok I had better! But their customer service was so bad! The two guys prepping had major attitude, their body language was not one of a persons who likes to work with others! I literally was about to walk out! I think this will be my last time there! Hidden in the back, behind the Arris and Google buildings is a nice little breakfast and lunch place, with a Barista station. Prices are reasonable and there is a different lunch special every day. The salad bar varies, but usually has some fresh grilled veggies, which are my favorite. The sandwich bar has a couple of daily specials, sometimes pre-made, or you can order just about anything. The also serve beer and wine, which is nice. It can be a bit hard to find. You can park in any of the Google or Arris lots, then walk between the two buildings and look for the "Jimmy's" sign. read more

My first time here after hearing nothing but great things about this place. I had the daily breakfast special of Grilled Asparagus with Creamy Polenta, Two Poached Eggs (I had over easy), Shaved Asiago Cheese, House Pesto for $4.95 The food was delicious, the tasty pesto and asiago cheese added a wonderful flavor to the mild polenta. The only reason for not giving them 5 stars is the wait time. I waited around 20 minutes to get my food. read more

This place can be hit or miss. For breakfast, it's been mostly a 'miss' for me. My most recent experience was with the 'Eggs Benedict' breakfast special. My expectation was for poached eggs with either Canadian bacon or ham on a toasted English muffin topped with Hollandaise sauce. What I was served was poached eggs with one paper-thin slice of ham (the kind you would have in a ham sandwich) on top of what appeared to be a hamburger bun (I'm not kidding) that was topped with a version of Hollandaise sauce that was so watery, it ran right off the eggs as soon as it was poured. It was edible, but definitely not 'Eggs Benedict'. I gave up on ordering eggs 'over-easy' as I've either experienced egg-whites that were still runny (liquid) or yokes that were either broken or cooked 'hard'. On another occasion, I attempted to order the breakfast casserole special. When the cook cut into the casserole, he immediately noticed that the eggs were not fully cooked and requested that I order something else since he needed to send the casserole back to the kitchen to have them place it back in the oven to bake it more. If you plan to eat breakfast here, my suggestion is to order an omelette. They seem to be able to cook them okay. The only reason that I've taken several chances on Jimmy's is that it's located on our business campus but since the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results, I'll need to look elsewhere for breakfast. read more

Hidden Gem! Tucked away in an office campus, it's a beautiful spot worth seeking out. Options all looked really tasty, and they make it fresh to order. I had the bison burger. Great to see a place in the area serving both bison and grass fed beef options. Brioche bun, cheddar and caramelized onions. Top notch plate. Can't wait to go back for one of the specials - they have them plated, and today was horseradish crusted NY strip with fingerling potatoes and broccoli rabe. I waivered, but burger was calling my name. I suggest maybe ordering ahead, as wait time was a little long during their lunch rush. Table service would be nice too, or maybe just food runners. This is cafeteria style. Potential to get 5 star from me once they smooth out some of these operational things, but they're new. I'll definitely be back soon because food is great and price is right.
