I recommend getting the Bburing yogurt sauce to balance the sweetness from the powder. I went around early evening (~4ish) and place was pretty empty with a few walk ins here and there. Atmosphere was clean and felt sanitary as the workers constantly wiped the tables down around us throughout dining in. The servers were extremely nice, informative when asking questions, and they let us try a small sample of seasoning powder before ordering to see the spice level! Their drinks are delightful and I ordered the Golden Hour mocktail last night which was nice, refreshing and bubbly and ginger forward. For food, my hubby and I split the several dishes starting with the Scotch Egg, then the peach and beet salad, the sourdough bread, fish and chips, and dessert to go. The Scotch Egg has changed over the years and is now coated in a spicy gochujang. The surprise hit was the sourdough which was sliced thin, crispy yet soft and buttery, and served with a ricotta maple spread, hummus and tomatoes, and an oil and balsamic dip. We ate every last bite and that bread is still singing to me. The peach, beet, and goat cheese salad hit all the right notes of tangy, crunchy, creamy, and bright. It was superb and had a great balance. The fish and chips have always been my favorite and we ate it up along with their mushy peas. Yum. Lastly, we ordered the sticky toffee pudding to go. It came in a delicious sweet sauce, had a dense bit noise cake, and a side of caramel ice cream that made me want to cry it was so good. I love the La Jolla location of Ike's.  There is a ton of free parking in the underground structure…read moreso my car stays cool while I eat.  I ordered the Hollywould's SF Cheesesteak without cheese and I added bacon.  I liked the texture of the crunch bread which was mostly soft except for the top which was crumbly like a concha.  Bread had a nice mild flavor with a hint of sweetness.  Lettuce and tomato added some moisture and fresh flavors.  Bacon was dry and crunchy with a salty smoky flavor.  Steak was tender and I liked the beefy flavor.  This was a big sandwich and made for a good size lunch. Bubble Up which I drank alot when I was a kid but rarely see now was a pleasant surprise.  I loved the sweet lemon lime flavor.  They have a very good drink selection here. Zapps potato chips were crunchy and had a nice fried potato flavor.  A bit like Utz potato chips. 2nd visit I tried the Matt Cain sandwich.  I modified it so it had turkey, roast beef, bacon, lettuce, and tomato on the Dutch Crunch Bread.  Bread had a fresh aroma and flavor.  One of my fav breads.  Lettuce and tomato were fresh and crisp.  Bacon had a bit of crunch and a delicious salty and smoky flavor.  Roast beef and turkey were tender and tasty.  Great tasting sandwich. My sandwich was made perfectly and was ready at the time I set for pickup after ordering ahead on the app. I got the Terrell Davis which comes with turkey, avocado, bacon and Swiss. Asked for light dirty sauce. All the flavors worked really well together and it didn't eat too salty. Loved that they had a good amount of avocado in it too. It's located right at the entrance of the strip mall as you're driving in. Decent amount of parking but it was very busy when I came on a Tues during lunch. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, more indoor though.
