    Clam chowder

Second time picking up something light for lunch, I work in the area so I get a 25% discount which is great! The first time I had the summer shrimp rolls which were not very good and I would not recommend them. The pieces of shrimp were very thin and were not apparent compared to the amount of noodles which were dry. Even after using all the dipping sauce it was still dry enough that it all fell apart when I tried to take smaller bites and so it was a little embarrassing to eat since it felt like the food was falling out of my mouth. However, today I just got the soup of the day which is clam chowder. I was deciding between the soup or the chili but the lady said they always have chili and the soups rotate. Very good flavor, came piping hot, and I grabbed some oyster crackers and all in all for $4 it was worth it.

This restaurant is located in a very corporate area so during noon time, the line to order gets super long. After encountering that a few times, I now order online and my food is always ready when I get there. Their ago tuna wrap, grilled chicken torta, and turkey avocado sandwiches are pretty decent but if the line to order food is long, you can pick something up from the fridge and pay at a different kiosk. I wouldn't recommend the cold sandwiches and sushi in the fridge, but if you're in a rush and need something fast it's an option that I'm glad they have.

This eatery is closeby but most of my time is spent in front of the computer at work. Doing my best as I come in 5 days a week. No hybrid remote for this worker bee. However, at least 2 days of the week, my boss is not in the office so I have an opportunity to go out for lunch either on a Monday or Friday. I don't usually do it. The opportunity to visit Lone Pine Eatery was for a breakfast. I had run some errands and needed something to eat knowing I had nothing at my desk drawer or work fridge. I stopped by to get the Avocado toast with a side of bacon. The prices with inflation is now high so I wasn't expecting a cheap breakfast. The order went smooth, the toast was great, although I am not a fan of lots of green leaves on top of my toast, I prefer more avocado less arugula. It was good and satisfied without being too filling. Mainly it's a nice alternative and place to get a sandwich, coffee and other quick meals. The spot used to be different until it was probably closed because of the pandemic. I don't even remember the name of the other place but I probably reviewed it.

Car had issues and forgot my lunch today. Co worker pointed out that this place "Lone Pine Eatery" was near by. Looked it up and saw it was near. Walked over and was surprised on how nice this place is. Indoor and outdoor seating. A good menu with great prices and friendly staff. Not to many pictures online, but I got the Turkey sando and it was delicious. Looks like they have added some happy hour hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and online ordering is now available. Definitely will be going back to try everything on the menu.

The see-through windows, the bar seating along the windows that open up, and the one-way traffic across the cafe...all screams cozy and articulate. I like that they post the menus outside too, in case of long lines, so that you don't flip and freak out when you get to the front and don't know what to order. What I've tried off their menu so far, were Americanos, Lattes, hot and cold. Cold drinks are my default though, you can never go wrong with iced coffee. Their white chocolate is popular, they run out quick, but regular choco does well in a pinch. I absolutely love the part where they give the cup to you at the end of the bar, for adjustments and adding in more milk/sugar. And also to see latte art before closing your cup. I don't know what it is, but that part in aspect allows you to take some time to appreciate coffee in general and then go back to the real world. It's just the little things that matter. Also, the employees are just always super uber nice here. They don't judge you for ordering two cups of coffee in one go, they actually commend the action!

The staff is friendly, anything you buy looks gorgeous and the inside is immaculate. Ambience 9/10 Lunar New Year Croissant Described as a croissant filled with sesame and almond paste, this is a good but not great croissant. It has the layers, it has the chew, but it's no better than a croissant you would get at a number of other bakeries in the area. But those other bakeries are charging $4-7 instead of $10! The almond and sesame flavors were both very subtle and make me believe there is just a very minimal amount used in the recipe. Would not recommend even as a chewy over crispy croissant guy. 5/10 Creme brûlée latte Pretty much what I wanted without description. Creamy, noticeable but not overpowering vanilla flavor, and a lovely burnt topping for bitter balance. The coffee still comes through meaning this is a well crafted latte, not a dessert. This one actually comes at a pretty decent price too. 8/10 Yuzu & lime tart Their take on meringue pie is composed of a graham crust, yuzu mousse, and a meringue topper with a circle of lemon curd gel. To my taste, there is too much sweet on this plate, needing some balance of tart. But the textures of each component were on point: fluffy meringue, thick lemon gel, dense crust, and substantial yet airy mousse. Torching the meringue at home added a bitter element which I think made the sweetness more palatable. Would have liked the citrus to be more present. 5/10. All in all I would choose other sweets shops at most shopping centers than return here but for drinks this is a pretty good option.

In a plaza that appeared to be slow or dead leaving lots of space. I parked almost in front - just off to the side. Walk in and it's order at a kiosk. I get automation as it's something I do, I've done and will do as times change. However, I had questions and ended up just ordering something else as there was no human interaction to answer me. Place is deceivingly small - there are a bunch of seating - I wouldn't go in with a large group but definitely places to sit, chat or work on your laptop (saw several students? hammering away on their laptop keyboard). Not sure, but maybe they also offer WIFI.? Drinks seems watered down in my opinion. And I've ordered the same drinks at other locations and either the ingredients were off or it was prepared differently that didn't quite align to my expectations and taste. However, place was busy so maybe it's just how it's served as business was steady and I saw a few order the same as what I got. Don't live in the area so highly unlikely that there will be a return visit.

There was a lot of syrup in it and it just tasted like artificial mango syrup when I got it at 75% sugar. They might be using a different brand for yakult but for the prices that are being charged (avg drink is 6.75) they can have better quality. Maybe can try adding more natural/ house made syrup. But maybe it's one off and just this drink. I haven't tried the other ones but the Thai tea one looked pretty good. The staff is nice and welcoming and the vibe of the store is cozy a good study spot! Plenty of parking in the plaza!
