This place is a normal breakfast type restaurant. It was clean and had lots of menu options. The reason it is a 4 is because the food was cooked to perfection IMO. I like crispy browns and bacon that is thoroughly cooked. I thought the service was ok, not super duper. Had to ask for refills but ok nonetheless. My husband and I ventured out to try something new and we used other yelp ratings to decide, which led us to Jimmy's Egg. Our wait was about 15 minutes on a Sunday, which is amazing considering it's Midland! The staff was polite and friendly. When we got seated out waitress was prompt in taking out drink order and giving us time to look over the menu. My husband got the country benedict with cinnamon roll pancakes and he did it was delicious. I ordered the queso blanco burrito with pancakes and it was very good!! We really didn't look much at the menu because on the first page everything looked so good, but we will be back again to try more! The restaurant is very clean looking, which I didn't realize it opened it December. I'm happy to have such a great breakfast and brunch place near us! read more

My wife and I really enjoyed her breakfast here when we were visiting Midland it's one of the first times we totally cleaned our plates it hit the spot because we were starving from the night before when we tried the crab station that was the worst seafood ever but when we came here for breakfast they put a smile on my belly I will recommend this breakfast spot to anybody read more

Stopped in while waiting for the rest of my carpool to land at MAF. Not the worst brunch but not the best. The omelette was made to order and very good, as was the bacon, but the grits and pancakes tasted as of they came out of a box. The waitress also only stopped by to get my order, drop off the food, then drop off the check while the tables next to me were checked on repeatedly for coffee, water, napkins, etc. Again, not bad if you need a quick bite to eat and just want the basics but I'm not worried about not living here and not coming here again. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I expected it to be like Denny's. It was so much better. The menu was a little overwhelming, but I ordered the western omelette and my daughter ordered a smoked turkey sandwich. Both were very good. Walked a 1/2 mile from my hotel room to go to Chick-Fil-A. I love Chick-Fil-A, but it is fast food after all and they were packed. I say Jimmy's Egg right next door and decided to go hear instead. I'm glad I did. The service was fast, friendly. The food was delicious, and the place was clean. I had a strawberry chicken salad that was spot on. This place barely opened so I'm very cautious on praise. It's a chain and usually corporate trainers run a store for a while when first open. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy at 7 AM on a Saturday. Service was prompt and friendly. Food came out timely. The food was solid and delicious. The bacon tasted a tad funny, almost like the surface it was cooked on had something on it. Biscuits and gravy were perfect. I would recommend this place while being cautious moving forward. I came here and got the custom egg white omelette. It was ok. Not the best egg white omelette I have had. I was shocked when the bill came and it cost $19 dollars for an only decent tasting omelette. Apparently it cost .99 cents per ingredient you add. I wish my waitress would have warned me when I was customizing my order. I really enjoyed this place! I came here on a Sunday during lunch time with my parents & my grandmother, and my grandmother's home healthcare nurse. My dad & I had orange juice with water on the side, my mom & I had the "smores hot chocolate". For my meal, I had a veggie/spinach omelette with fruit and hash browns. (As the only vegetarian in the group, I was able to find something that was vegetarian-friendly.) I thought it was all good for a decent price. Maybe it was early opening jitters but we were very disappointed with our meal here. Since it's so close we were very excited to try but the experience was lackluster at best. First off the service was absolutely fantastic, and the entire reason it's not a 1 star. The waitress was attentive and helpful. But the food was so boring and bland I doubt I'll be back any time soon. The fried chicken and waffles were passable but the waffle disintegrated when you tried to get a bite on the fork. The chicken was the only part that tasted ok. The hog wild skillet was hilariously tiny for the price and when I ordered home fries with cheese and grilled onions the home fries were soggy instead of crispy and the onions were so raw I had to ask for a replacement order which came out only marginally more cooked but I didn't feel like waiting any further so just let it go. After a few bites of crunchy raw onions on soggy home fries I gave up and went home. read more

Took a little trip to Midland just for a night. We went hard last night so we needed a good hardy breakfast!!! Definitely not what i got. I got the Garbage Breakfast, literally i got all bell peppers and onions, nooo sausage. I asked for a side of bacon and it was literally jerky. I wouldn't recommend that dish. 0/10. But my girlfriend did get the Cuban Sandwich, and that was TO DIE FOR. Absolutely wonderful. The service was on point tho, I can appreciate that to the fullest. read more

The food here is OK, it's pretty hard to mess up breakfast. The service was OK. The pricing was outrageous! I ordered a Berry Berry Waffle, with a side order of scrambled eggs and ham, & juice to drink. The Berry Berry Waffle is described as coming with blueberries, strawberries, powdered sugar, & whipped cream. Mine showed up without powdered sugar, but that's OK. The eggs were fine, and the ham was larger than I expected. When I got the ticket, they charged me EXTRA for blueberries, and EXTRA for whipped cream! It probably had 2 dozen blueberries and a tablespoon-sized dollop of whipped cream. With tax the total was just under $18!!! I paid $21 with tip. I was going to complain, but there were people from my church at the adjacent table and I didn't want to look like a jerk. But I WON'T GO BACK!!! I didn't spend this much for breakfast while vacationing in the Virgin Islands a year ago. This is ridiculous! read more

The Breakfast was pretty darn good. Above average, especially for the limited breakfast options in Midland. Eggs were done perfectly, Pancakes are light and fluffy style. The atmosphere is nice old diner style with a dining counter. The only minus was the Turkey Sausage was a bit bland and the cheese on the Hash browns is American. I would prefer real cheese on those, otherwise they we're fantastic. I'll be back to try the lunch. read more

Went for the first time today with family and can safely say I won't be returning any time soon. Our waitress was rude from the get go. We watched several people who came in thirty minutes after us get their meals and pay. Half of our meal was brought out and the rest seemed to be forgotten. When asked about it, we were told that our ticket has been split. One cook had completed his ticket and the other one was still working on it. The whole kitchen system was off. Our waitress was dismissive. The manager came over and she too was dismissive and didn't seem to care at all. She said she would take off one of our items so that we wouldn't have to pay, but the ticket the waitress brought us had that item on there with the final total. When we asked it about it she said she had originally given us the wrong check but she took care of it. Our final ticket had the right amount. It was just a mess. I was excited to go because people speak so highly of this place. Unfortunately I didn't have a good experience and I will not be recommending this to anyone I know. Probably would have had a better time at IHOP. read more

Horrible service, we sat there for a hour and they sat everyone else but us, when I went to ask the host what going on, they gave the excuse like oh they dont have a big table for us which is only 3 adult, a 4years old and a 1 year old, which is the table of 4 would fit all of us. I honestly think she just skipped us. I'll start at the beginning..Seat yourself and no wait when we arrived. Apparently they must seatbyou during heavy times. Beautiful and clean inside since it's new. Little hard to access so you plan your trip..lol Coffee was very good and piping hot. Tropicana OJ served nice and cold. City water so I didn't get any. (Apparently a reverse osmosis is coming soon.) The menu is enormous. I ordered the "traditional breakfast" hubby had a Belgian waffle. I picked sausage patties, toast, egg whites, and grits. We shared a cup of fresh fruit. Loved the flavor of the sausage, egg whites were cooked properly, grits were cooked perfectly, the toast..ahhh the toast ..yum..it was buttered and grilled. Not in a toaster..on the grill!! So good! Fruit was grapes and melon it was good just bad time of the season so a little under ripe. Waffle was perfection! Hubby loved it. Everything was fresh and well presented. Service was good, we had Aly she was very efficient. It's not particularly expensive. About like IHop or CB.0..But worth every penny. I had ZERO complaints (rare..lol) and will return.
