Jimmy came over to fix a faucet leak. It turns out it needed to be fully replaced. Jimmy's receptionist told me the day before that I might want to go get a faucet in case he needed to replace it. I rarely give 5 stars, because that's basically saying you found the best company around. I can without reservation, easily give Jim, Marci, and everyone else at Jimmy Rooter 5 stars. Long story short, I moved into a townhouse where the original contractors did half-donkeyed (you can't say the actual word on here. I tried.) job. It truly was sad. Jim came out and fixed all the plumbing issues I had, fixed things that weren't done correctly, and built a better ladder for my crawl space. After all the money I had spent on the townhouse and other things besides plumbing, I was concerned about how expensive it would be to get the plumbing work done. This was one of those experiences where I felt I just had to post a review. I've never had a good experience searching for plumbers (or finding good ones, for that matter) that were affordable & trustworthy. So when my kitchen sink drain was clogged I wasn't looking fwd to having to hire someone to unclog it. I started by doing a web search for "cheap, affordable drain cleaner in Denver" & came across the big guys 1st, so I went onto the sites of the ones I'd heard of & tried to get basic pricing for drain cleaning. They wouldn't even give me a price. I checked them out on Yelp & saw reviews about the shady upselling they do - ugh. After about an hour of searching online, I somehow came across Jimmy Rooter's web site (not the greatest site, but the price posted was the cheapest drain cleaning quote I could find - and hey...my name is Jimmy) and scheduled a time for him to come out & unclog it. He ended up having to come out twice (from Aurora to my house in Westminster), and spent several hours getting it all cleaned out since it was hard to access - but still only charged me $75 and didn't try to sell me on anything else. So this was just what I wanted - someone honest that would come out - get the job done, and leave me with a clean drain, not a clean wallet. I can't attest to his skills as a plumber, since I didn't have any actual plumbing work done, but if your pipe's clogged & you're looking for an affordable alternative to the shady plumbers we've all read so much about, I'd recommend Jimmy Rooter. read more

Our basement drain backed up on a Sunday. I did quite a bit of research and called probably 8 different companies. I was quoted prices from $85 (Jimmy Rooter) to $189.50 (Colorado Sewer Service) to "we'll let you know when we get there... and we charge $30 to show up" (Precision Heating and Cooling). Not only did Jimmy Rooter take care of the problem for the cheapest price (which was quoted up front, which I see as a MAJOR bonus), but they also scoped the drain and sent us the video as part of the deal. So, they clear your drain (ran a 100' motorized, industrial snake with blades several times), and then video scope it so you can SEE where any issues might be, all for WAY cheaper than any of the other guys. And they do it quickly, and courteously, and I just don't have enough good stuff to say about these guys. Jim took care of the issue with a smile, he laid down rubber backed carpeting to protect the floor, and even cleaned up when he was done with plenty of Lysol and rags. This is a family run operation. I love dealing with PEOPLE instead of corporate policies, answering services, scheduling madness, etc. These guys are the real deal, and they get it done quickly and affordably. They came out on a Sunday evening (just a few hours after I called, because they were wrapping up another job) with no extra charge, and I will recommend them to anyone and everyone who needs a drain snaked (or anything else having to do with plumbing!). The overflow gasket on my tub needed replacing. The water from the tub had already leaked through to the ceiling below into the downstairs shower and had caused extensive damage to the drywall. I had an emergency on a Sunday with a kitchen faucet, and had the house water shut off. They came over had it fixes in less an hour. Charged me very fairly for an emergency call on Sunday, when other companies were 2 days or more on calls. When my hot water heater needed to be replaced, I called and they did a great job. I had used a locally owned plumbing company before that was very expensive and checked the job and had to called the company to find what they should charge. I'll call Jim every time when needed. Wow - what a great experience we had with this small family owned company. They replaced a kitchen sink, installed two new faucets and made some other repairs on faucets and showers. It was easy to schedule with Marci in the office. She was extremely responsive, was a clear communicator and kept us posted on the arrival time of the team to our house. The two Jims who came to do the work (father and son) were great. They were polite, considerate (wore booties when walking on carpet) and took pride in their work. The older Jim tackled a tricky plumbing issue (we went from a two bowl sink to one deeper bowl with garbage disposal) by designing and building his own piping solution. He also went the extra mile by adding a more accessible clean out plug. There were a number of little things that he did during the installation as well so that the end result is exactly perfect! The younger Jim took care of the other tasks on our list. As he was working the list, he also went the extra mile by fixing some other little things that we hadn't even noticed needed fixing! He was great about showing us what was causing our problems and then clearly explaining how he would fix each issue. And yippee, the charge for all of the work was very reasonable. Great work! Fast effective and not too expensive. My sink drain has been clogged for weeks. I tried everything I could to take care of it myself and had no luck. I found these guys on Yelp and gave them a call. They got back to me a day later and set the appointment for the following Monday. I did set the appointment for between 10:00am and 11:00am. When he didn't arrive by 10:30, I called and left a message. He finally arrived a little after 11:00, but I didn't mind because I understand how things can get behind. He checked out my pipes to make sure he was going after the right thing before going to work. He cleared everything and took a little extra time to help clean out the black water that had built up in the dishwasher. So it's clear he is not into rushing a job just to keep his next appointment. I appreciate it greatly. He also gave me some advice on how to improve the drain system. He packed up and charged me $85, on the credit card just like I was quoted over the phone. Used Jimmy to clear our drain in the laundry room. He arrived right when he told me he would, he was fast and efficient but thorough. He also was very informative...he didn't just fix the problem he explained the drains and stuff to me so I could understand what the problems were. He also had great vacation advice. He was patient with both my dog and my 4 year old being excited to have someone in the house. The biggest point to me though (other than fixing the problem) is we have used plumbers in the pass that make a horrible mess and leave...I was already prepared to clean up after Jimmy...However that is not the case, Jimmy cleaned up all the goo that came out of that gross drain, he was even worried about the towel I gave him being ruined. First I want to start by saying Marci has to be one of the nicest most delightful people I have ever dealt with. She is upfront, honest and gave me very reasonable price quotes for the jobs I requested. The day I had scheduled for my repairs I noticed my garbage disposal had just stopped working so I contacted Marci and asked if it was too late to add the disposal replacement. Marci was so kind, she advised me that it could be added on and this price quote she gave for the disposal was reasonable too. She also said I could possibly find a disposal on sale at our local hardware store or they could provide one, she emailed a link with the one they provide to me so I could see reviews and price, after this experience I completely trust her. The two Jim's arrived and were very professional and polite. I had garbage disposal replacement, main line rooter, toilet wax ring replaced with new bolts with caulking and bathtub drain cleaning. Originally had my main line cleaned last fall - very reasonable! When a shower drain became clogged, I called and he came the same day. Unfortunately, the situation was more complicated than expected and I needed to schedule another day. No charge for the "free estimate", even though he did work on the clog. So, Jimmy Rooter came out within an hour of me calling on a Sunday afternoon to unclog my toilet that I had unsuccessfully tried to fix myself over two days--yes, it was super gross to me, too. The service tech fixed it within about 10 minutes, and flushed it a couple of times for good measure. It was $65, which I thought was reasonable for a weekend emergency call. I wrote a check, and he gave me a receipt noting a 30 day warranty, too. He didn't even mind my dogs barking when he returned to the door with the receipt! read more

It's really disappointing when a business you really liked goes downhill because they can't handle the popularity. It took them a couple of days to return my call, and then even though the message on the recording said they were scheduling for next week, when they called me back they couldn't get me in for two weeks. But the biggest reason I'm disappointed is the woman doing the scheduling was super rude to me. She asked me what the problem was and then as I was describing the problem I had with my shower drain she cut me off to start asking me about my shower valve. There is nothing wrong with my shower valve and I had not mentioned it all, so not sure why she went there. When I tried to start redirecting the conversation back to the problems I was ACTUALLY having she got all rude with me and told me, well whatever, we can't get out there until the week after next. I'm sure Jimmy is still doing great work, but I'm done with these people after how rude their scheduler was to me. I have been a customer for years and sent them tons of work from friends and family. I have used Jimmy Rooter many times over the years. Everything always goes smoothly, from your call to Marcy, to Jimmy Sr. or Jimmy Jr. showing up on time. They have cleared my sewer line of tree roots multiple times, and helped me find a reasonable sewer line replacement company when the line was beyond repair. They have cleared basement floor drains, changed out faucets and fixed my toilet. During the most recent visit, Jimmy Jr. left to run to a supply store to see if he could find a part to fix my classic art-deco faucets (from 1938). I was hoping I would not have to replace them.
