Customer service is horrible. Now I can see why this place averages less than 2 stars. Girl taking my order was totally unfriendly and uninterested. Then, the gave me my sandwich, uncut (see pic); I went back and asked them to cut in half and she hands me a measly plastic knife!!! Not even smiling or offering to cut it... read more

UPDATE: Got home and the sandwich (Giant Tuma) tasted off. Also bland. Way too much mayo as it washed out the taste of Tuma. Never had this issue at other locations. Won't be back to this location unfortunately... especially now that I've read reviews for this location. Staff was great/friendly/helpful/fast(only employee) and store was very clean. My stars are for staff and cleanliness. Otherwise based on past experiences with other JJ locations: Best Sandwiches, prices and staff! Don't forget to get a sandwich stamp card or join rewards program! Store is also always clean! read more

I went there today (02/22/2025) to "give another try" from the bad service I received months ago. This tie, the service was good but they didn't "Listen" to my "Specific" order. I ordered specific, paid, took to-go and drove home. I get home, open my meal for dinner and .........WRONG! I wrapped it back up, went back, advised it was wrong and my meal was remade with a "My bad" answer....... REALLY??..... The store was not busy and both the cashier and sandwich maker her Are my "specific order"....yet because I could not see it being made, I suffered and had to go back, waste gas and time...... DISAPPOINTING. read more

Slowest JJ I've ever been too. Don't come here if you want anything reasonably quick.

They treated me so good made my food fast and the store was clean. I would come back here again!

Amazing service, clean restaurant, and friendly staff, first time eating at jimmy johns and the chicken bacon ranch toasted sandwich blew my mind OMG! read more

Tim and Cheyenne we're extremely helpful and took care of me even though I gave an incorrect order

Jimmy John's recently expanded their menu it seems and I have to admit I like what I saw. You have a bunch of very creative inventive Meats along with the classics including their really good tuna fish sandwich which I've had in the past. Today I'm with the tricky Tom sandwich what you showing in the photo and the best part about their sandwiches in my humble opinion is there bread. It is so crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside and I think is probably one of the best breads I've ever had as far as a sandwich is concerned. They're pickles are it must have with any sandwich order as they are nice and juicy and have a very original flavor to them. The potato salad was a new item and for $3 and change I felt it was a bit small as far as the portion size. Nevertheless, as far as Jimmy John's goes it is right up there with Jersey Mike's and Subway and has its own unique offering which is their bread. read more

The angels in heaven would sure clip their wings for a jimmy John's sandwich! Great service

I don't like leaving bad reviews for places but do yourself a favor and pick a different location if you want a sandwich, or better yet go to Jersey Mike's (they are in the same parking lot). I think there were 2 slices of meat on my sandwich wrapped up in brown/pink lettuce. Not appealing at all and super disappointing. read more

TIM was there alone yesterday during the lunch hour rush. He was working so hard keeping up with baking bread, making online orders, and walk in orders. He kept a smile on his face the whole time and never complained. Just apologized for the inconvenience. Tim was amazing. Shame on whoever let this guy work alone. He deserves all the credit. read more

The Food was great and the customer service was over the top great, we'll be back! What a great crew! 4/27/2024 1:15 pm

So, I am a Jimmy John's fan but I am big on customer service. There was only one worker in the store. He was putting up chips. He never once acknowledged me. He kept putting up chips. So, I left. As soon as I get to the car turn around he is now behind the counter. Like when a customer comes in the door rings with a bell. I am no small person, I know he felt me. How hard was it to speak and say, Hello, I will be right there. I stopped going to a competitor because of bad service. Guess I don't need all that bread anyway read more

Love Jimmy John's! They have many sandwiches to choose from. Their bread is amazing they make it fresh. Every day and if the bread is 4 hours old they throw it away and make fresh bread. They also sale Day old bread for like 49 cents a loaf. They are well known as being freaky fast. So you can pick any sandwich you can add things to the sandwich like extra meat, veggies, or sauces. Also you can choose if you want your sandwich in a lettuce wrap, wheat bread or french bread. If you choose french bread you can have it either 8 inch (original) or 16 inch (giant) bread. They also have slims which is no ingredients on the sandwich just meat & bread & cheese if it comes with it or if you add it. I love their chips they are kettle chips the original & barbecue chips are amazing! They also have cookies oatmeal & chocolate chip. My favorite is the #7 smoked ham club, it's double ham with cheese, tomatoes & lettuce. I like to add some cucumbers & oregano. The number #9 Italian night club & #12 beach club is the most popular. They do deliver but only a 5 mile radius. Also it's a great place to work for teens. Also I love their $1 sub day. Usually it's every year around summer time. read more

My first time going to JJ's. Total disappointment. 4 slices of turkey on their 9" sub. Very little veggies--lettuce, tomatoes and HOT cherry peppers and pickles. Cheese? That's a dollar extra! For two slices (very thin). They seem to think that mayo and mustard on a sub is what everyone gets. The cherry peppers where HOT despite the person who took my order saying "They are more taste than heat". Wrong. They are one or two steps down from a jalapeno. The best thing about this overpriced, under filled sandwich was the bread. But it's just plain white bread. ADDED: I stopped by a different one at night, just to give them a second chance. And the two people there were putting slices of meat (4 thin slices) on paper FOR THE NEXT DAY. Great to know that everything sits overnight. read more

I usually like jimmy johns, but this location sucks ASS. Been working in the area since it opened and they have had a constant issue with keeping employees. Decided to drive through today and waited 10 minutes in the drive through waiting for someone to take my order (no one in the drive through line in front or behind me, only a single car parked in the parking lot I assume is the employees car) never took my order, had to drive elsewhere to get some lunch. Won't be back to this Jimmy johns again read more

First of all the entire complex is full of junkies. And trying to get in and out of the parking lot is a disaster. But the real one star here comes down to the stench inside the restaurant. It was unbearable and I had to walk out and go home without a sandwich. I will never set foot anywhere near this location ever again. read more

Why do you have an employee not wearing a mask? I'm absolutely not returning knowing that this is the case. This location has lost my business for good. Edit: After waiting quite some time for my food I walked up to see my sandwiches sitting out for how long and I asked the girl if my food had just been sitting there, and she said "I called it out but nobody came." How is that okay, to call once and not call out again. I'm not even hard of hearing. 100% inappropriate and she decided to just leave the sandwiches sitting. Disgusting. read more

I ordered a tuna sandwich with a Coke. The sandwich arrived, the Coke did not. I called this location and was told that the drink was probably just left in the driver's car and that he would be told to turn around and bring it to me. Yeah, that drink never came. Nothing irritates me more than trusting a place to deliver a full order and having them not only fail to do so, but charge me for it. Never again. You can't be bothered to deliver what I've paid for, and I can't be bothered to give you my business. Good luck with that. read more

Once you get parked, I always enjoy this Deer Valley shopping center. Great selection of stores including Target, PetSmart, Bath & Body Works, Starbucks, etc. All that shopping can make you hungry. Jimmy Johns answers that call quickly, or as they would say, freaky fast. A quick Saturday afternoon lunch before we hit PetSmart for kitty food. I typically go for one of their bigger sandwiches but went old school roast beast and cheese. They don't offer cheddar so I stuck with the provolone (and added hot peppers for a little kick). Sandwich was ready by the time I got my drink and was delicious. The service was warm and friendly, and all of the tables were clean. Quick JJ hack, they sell their day-old bread for less than a buck, I've seen it as low as 49 cents and their bread is amazing-much better than Subway. Jimmy Johns continues to be one of the premier sandwich options here in the first world and this location at Deer Valley is definitely one of their better locations. read more

I have to give it to the state of AZ. They have a lot of Midwest type establishments because of all the transplants. That is fine by me. Jimmy Johns started in Illinois, and now they are all over the dang place. Anyways......I decided to come to this Jimmy Johns for lunch today. I went with the JJ Gargantuan (no mayo) and a chocolate chip cookie. Total was right around $10.00 and I was out the door. Here is how everything was........... JJ Gargantuan- This beast was heavy! The sandwich has a mix of genoa salami, ham, capicola, roast beef, turkey and provolone cheese. It is topped with the usual sub toppings like lettuce, onions, tomatoes and oil and vinegar. They stuff all of this between a French type loaf of bread. It was very sturdy, yet pliable when you bit in. Its a perfect style loaf to support all these toppings! It's only about 8 inches long (that's what she said!), but its so stuffed to the gills, it's almost hard to eat. You either have to unhinge your jaw, or have to kind of take a bite from the top, then the bottom and make your way along like that. Great mix of flavors though! Not sure if you could get a better sandwich from here. I've only been to Jimmy John's a few times, but every single time, I have gotten this particular sandwich and will continue to do so. Don't stray from a winner, right? Chocolate Chip Cookie- Not sure if I was just craving something sweet, or what, but this was one of the best damn chocolate chip cookies I have had in awhile! They are $1.50 each, but they are huge and worth every penny. They were soft enough to enjoy, but not mushy. They also weren't really "crisp" per say, kind of a middle ground of texture. You could tell that these things were loaded with butter (the secret to great cookies!) and every bite was sensational. I could seriously see myself coming here and buying a couple of cookies on their own. By far the best cookie I have had from a sandwich shop...and its not even close! These were great! Jimmy John's is just a tad more pricey than other "fast food" sandwich places, but the quality and sheer amount of ingredients they pile on their sandwiches make it worth paying the extra couple of bucks. This place is right up the street from work and I'm sure I will be back often whenever a sandwich craving hits. read more

STAY AWAY from this location. I ordered 3 Sandwiches. ""The Italian Night club(big italianl, The Perfect Tuna and a Slim!"" I got a Vito(perfect italian) instead with only 1 slice of meat, no mayo or any sauce! It's not what I ordered. Then somehow they gave me a other vito the same way. Then lastly The tuna and I said twice NO tomatoes. "My mom can't eat tomatoes, she is highly allergic. I would've checked my receipt, but they put it in the bag after I got my food. This Jimmy Johns quality and accuracy is beyond reproach. The staff is friendly but they could not get an order right to save their lives. We have got probably over $100 in gift cards because of their carelessness. I refuse to speak to a shift manager because they will either blame you or argue with you. I guess this is my fault for expecting a different result. You know the whole doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. I would not send my worst enemy to this store. I love Jimmy John's but never tried it before my son, who is only six years old, wanted to go there specifically for sandwich. This is the same child that would only eat mac & cheese or chicken nuggets and french fries... So, needless to say we went there. He ate his ENTIRE sandwich (Slim 1 | ham & cheese, plain) and LOVED IT! My twins, who are a bit younger shared a Slim 1. I think that not having the lettuce and other condiments actually worked out better because my kids are just going to eat the meat and cheese anyways. But for me, I chose the Vito (which is the #5, I believe), with no tomatoes or onions. I know my sandwich was absolutely delicious and always is! Having my kids actually want to eat something other than McDonald's chicken nuggets is really great. We have not changed our order since our first visit, except to add an additional sandwich now that my twins are bigger, and also so they can each have their own sandwich. Any unfinished sandwich is good for a day, maybe more, but my children eat it with in that day if kept in the refrigerator. Although I'm not sure how I would like my sandwich as a leftover simply because it has lettuce and other condiments that could make it soggy, unlike the "Slim" sandwiches. It's been nearly 2 years and we still love going there!! I admit that I am a frequent visitor because of how close this location is to Target. And I just love Target! I've always had excellent customer service and would highly recommend trying if you have not already! read more

Walked in to this place at 4:15 in the evening, place was DEAD. No hello or welcome from the cashier, a red head ginger wearing a flannel and some headphones, he looked miserable. While we were trying to decide what we wanted a girl that worked their with a nose/septum piercing brought up some sodas and gave me and my wife the dirtiest look. They both looked bothered we were there, the cashier literally glared at us the whole time. Find another job if you don't want to be there! Needless to say we walked out without even ordering. I went into the shop because I'm 0.2 miles out side of the 2 mile delivery range, gave my order and waited, no biggie. But then I get home to find that even though my order had been taken right and I paid for the extra add ons, none of them were actually added on. I even had them read the order back to me to make sure everything was right. So not only did my boyfriend get a disappointing sandwich but we paid for extras that weren't put on the sandwiches. What a great business model: 1. Hire young kids to work the counter who have no training in customer service. 2. Overcharge for sandwiches with absolutely no spoken or obvious options. (If they exist this is news to me.) 3. Offer delivery, but confine it to a 1/4 mile square area. (Basically the area of the shopping center they're located in.) Yup, looks like this place will be another victim of a trend. I will usually visit a place multiple times if I'm told that it's something special even if the first experience is something less than ideal. This location has let me down so many times with poor customer service the likelihood of a return visit is completely null and void. Hey Jimmy, you should try and rethink and regroup on this one buddy. Trends only last for a short while and fade away with phone books and record players. You may have your time, but it won't last with this formula. read more

The employees are very friendly. The store is small but a little dirty. I was very disappointed that the sandwich was super thin: 3 maybe 4 thin slices of meat and 2 slices of cheese. And it was bland. I could have made that sandwich in my kitchen with cold cuts. So not worth it! read more

OK, I was not going to write a review for Jimmy John's but reading the reviews of the "one star haters" inspired me. The service was freakishly fast and my sandwich was tasty.
