I went into the Deerfield Twp location in Mason Ohio last night , 08/02/26. I didn't see anyone but I waited for someone to come take my order. A female came out from the back and started screaming at me to get out and that I had to go. I was totally confused as to what was happening here. I said I came to order a sandwich. I'm still trying to process her rudeness, her attitude and her behavior. She said we are closed and have been closed for 30 minutes, you need to get the F out now! Please note, I walked into an unlocked door, all the lights on, no signage that said closed etc.... so any normal reasonable person would assume they were open. I stood there in utter disbelief. She yelled and screamed at me again to get the F out or she was calling the police. I said to her, that's not how you talk to customer's. I said you should have said , ma'am , I'm sorry, but we are closed. She called me every thing but a child of God! I said who do you think you are talking too! Do not talk to me like that! I am 65 years old and I could not believe what I was hearing, seeing and experiencing. She continued with her nasty curse words coming out of her filthy mouth as I continued to stand there shaking with anger at her f-bomb attack. I told her to go ahead and call the police and I wish that I had of turned on my phone to video her. she said its all on our store cameras. I called and Left a message for the manager and owner today and I called the corporate headquarters To review the camera. Her name is Pheibe. I praise God for 46 years of salvation. 46 years ago, Pheibe would have been laying on the ground between some turkey and salami. All praises to the King of Glory! read more

Cucumbers, old magazines, a wet burlap sack - these are among the many things that have more personality and warmth than the employee we dealt with today. Dead eyed and disinterested, this egotistical man behind the counter seemed only annoyed that we walked in. He made our food quickly, with absolutely no interest in speaking to us at all. Not even a grunt. Not once were we offered salt and pepper, or anything for that matter. When we asked if he had any black olives he stated they only had the "green, diced" olives. Looking now at the website, I'm pretty sure he just does not know what olives are. Was this some bored teen? Angsty young adult? Befuddled senior? Nope! This Chef de Merde was a middle aged white guy wearing an expensive watch. Maybe the manger or owner? We'll never know (as we will never return). We got home and opened the food. I ordered lunch today, online, I received a confirmation in my email mailbox at 12:32 PM. At 1:20 PM I called this location and asked about my order. I was told they only had one driver and he was currently making six deliveries, to include mine. I waited about 30 more minutes and no food. I called at approximately 1:55 PM and cancel my order. I can understand having one driver, and that causes delays, but why didn't someone call me initially? Very poor customer service and obviously they do not care how this affects their customers. Not only was the service fast and friendly, the lunch shift on the clock today joined us outside to rescue six baby ducklings that fell into the sewer! We removed the grate with their help and scooped out all six, reuniting them with mama duck. After helping them cross the street, the duck family headed towards a nearby pond. I don't know why I've given them so many chances. I guess it's because the food is good - once it *finally* arrives and if *all* of it arrives. More than half of my orders are missing items - usually my drink. This time it was my chips (wasted a free promo code) AND my order took 90 minutes to get here. I really enjoy Jimmy John's sandwiches. I order from this location probably 3-5 times a month. Pickup is perfect, everyone is usually pretty nice and my food never is made incorrectly. BUT delivery takes forever. The delivery guys are great and I'm sure it's just because there are so many orders and so few drivers, but on average it takes about 30 minutes to get my food. Tonight was faster, only about 25 minutes. But seeing as I'm only 3 blocks away I could have drove myself to the store and finished eating it in the time it took to get to my apartment. I used to work for Jimmy John's yearsssss ago and understand the strict policy for delivering in a certain time frame, and I'm positive I've never received my food anywhere close to that. My recommendation to the manager- Hire more drivers to take the load off or figure out why it takes 30 minutes to deliver 5 minutes away. I'd always recommend this location for the food, but not the delivery time. read more

Placed an online order for delivery at 5:56pm, at 7:15pm the food still wasn't to our house. I called the store and the girl couldn't find our order anywhere. I told her to cancel it anyway because at this point we are starving and need to make other plans. The order arrived while we were on the phone ALMOST TWO HOURS after placing the order. Unacceptable. Jimmy Johns confirmed my order at 7:49am and then proceeded to let me know at 4:28pm (2 minutes before pickup) that they didn't have enough bread to fill my order. Staff was not very customer service oriented. No smiles, greeting or thank you. It's hard to mess a sandwich up to much so no issue with the food. If you choose to go get take our wait until spring. I wasn't very impressed by this place. I tried it for the first time last week and what I do like is the online ordering and speedy delivery service, but they actually forgot my pickle I ordered. I wasn't going to call them back and have a pickle delivered. I ordered my sandwich on a french roll and because of all the bread I felt it was overall bland. I heard the 7 grain bread is a better option. I also wish I would've known from the website that the chips are made with peanut oil. Since I'm allergic to peanuts, I couldn't eat them. I also prefer hot sandwiches and I don't think they have that option here. Overall, if you don't want to leave the house/office, this place isn't a bad option due to the speedy delivery. Just make sure to check your order before the delivery person leaves. If you do want to go out, I recommend Firehouse or Potbelly. I also heard Penn Station rocks. This JJ's does a superb job, Lunch, dinner, late night. They're always quick, including delivering across town, during peak hours. They're incredibly nice and when they're not busy they'll chat with you if that's your thing. The line may look long, but they get through it fast. There's lots of seating towards the back as well. read more

Sub-who? JJ's is always fresh and always good. I forgive them for taking my favorite sub (Californian) off the menu. I now go for the #5 Vito sandwich. You'll know you're here because you will see the employees running around outside to their cars to make deliveries. Not only is the food good, but they are super fast. Last time I was here my sandwich was finished before I could fill my coke up. Their bread is super tasty, and you can put just about anything on your sandwich. The typical sub costs about $5 so with a drink and chips you're looking right at $7-$9 for lunch. If you love subs I would definitely recommend you check it out. read more

I'm a loyal Jimmy John's fan and pick up a sandwich at a different location at least once a week. I placed an online order for pickup at this location. My dad went there to pick up, and they acted like the order didn't exist. He asked them to confirm the address was 5071 Deerfield, thinking maybe he went to the wrong one. The male employee didn't even know their address. Then a female employee said oh yeah, they had the order but hadn't made it yet. My dad joked that he thought the service was super fast at Jimmy John's. The female employee replied, "If you want fast, you should make it yourself." I used the online pickup service for the Deerfield location. They received my order at 2:25 and I picked up the order at my pick up time of 4:45. I can honestly say the quality of their sandwiches have went down since the covid pandemic. They have in the last year neglected to give me the drinks, chips or pickles I order. I'm done!! read more

Absolute worst experience you'll ever have. My wife ordered food at 6:15 PM to be delivered to my office. After an hr she called and they told her they had tried to call and even tried to deliver it. Not true. Confirmed by Lobby guard. I called at 7:36 and was told the driver had came back and she had sent him back out. Called back again at 7:58, still no food. This time I was lied to by the person who talked to my wife when she again said they had tried to deliver the food. Lobby guard at my facility confirmed they had not been by our facility at all. Then manager asked me not to yell when I raised my voice stating that her story was a lie. Probably shouldn't have raised my voice but I hate being lied to. Got food at 8:15. Delivery driver was smug and said that it took him 2 hrs to deliver the food because he had 5 deliveries to make. So unfortunately, the lies continued to get the best of me and I used foul language with him. Again probably shouldn't have but I cannot stand lying. It took so long to get the food the drink didn't even have ice left in it. Called back and asked for the store where the manager. Turns out, the lady who lied to both my wife and I earlier was the store MANAGER. Instead of taking my complaint seriously, she started to try and make me out to be the bad guy for raising my voice at her earlier. She then stated she was canceling my delivery and hung up.. I see that there are a few goods reviews here but that is not my experience. Most of the sandwiches were made incorrectly either wrongly type of bread or bacon on the wrong one. The preparation area was hidden behind the counter or perhaps I would have noticed the errors. Food was descent, but would have been better on wheat bread with the contents one the correct sandwich. read more

My best friend went to Ohio State and he always raved about this place, while I was looking for whole foods I found one! He told me to get the roast beef and thats what I got, I think it was the hunter's club. The bread was firm and the roast beef was nice and medium rare. I'm addicted to their JJ Gargantuan (w cucumbers & hot peppers) & BBQ chips. It's the closest to East Coast style subs/hoagies/grinders (or wedges, where I came from in NY).
