Cobb salad with hard lettuce that I couldn't digest!

Ordered Cobb salad in the evening for dinner. Later, I discovered the lettuce was not the traditional salad greens but a very difficult to chew dark green lettuce! I couldn't chew it so I closed salad container and decided I would take it back later! The next day was extremely cold, so thinking Chick-fil-A was a Christian organization I felt 'no problem', I could surely return it at my convenience since it was still entact and I am a senior (80)! Wrong on all accounts! I returned to Chick-fil-A with the full salad with hopes of having the salad replaced! Wrong, again. The order person instructed me to continue through the drive- through and she would order a replacement. As I approached the window, the manager came outside to my car window with a very unusual attitude that started me. She began to lecture me about Chick-fil-A rules for returns and that she would absolutely not replace it and here is a 800 number if you want to complain! Needless to say, I was overwhelmed and shocked! I showed her that the salad was intact etc. but she addressed me as if I were some type of thief trying to get another salad! I was speechless and dumbfounded because I never expected that type response from Chick-fil-A. Here I was an 80 year old lady hoping to have a fresh salad for my dinner, not an opportunity to rip off a restaurant! I called the 800 number and later received a 'thank you' email for my feedback! Again, I was overwhelmed and dumbfounded... a 'thank you but no thanks'! I couldn't believe that a salad that cost less than $10 would have warranted that much attention ... a manager coming to my car, an agent taking my telephone feedback and an email explaining we could care less about your concern! I guess you live and learn that the world has changed and few companies care any longer about a satisfied customer. I have several gift cards that were gifted to me... I will find someone else to give them to because Chick-fil-A will no longer be my 'go-to' for a late evening meal.

    Me smiling

Our host was able to make reservations for seating areas for large numbers of people, so once we had two areas of a dozen or more, and a couple other times we had one area of that size. This flexibility was a big plus because we could only guess at how many would make it each time. We had ice-cold beers of every description, including IPAs, hazys, and other local crafts. I can't name them all, and some drafts aren on the printed menu, bu5 8 kniw we had Psychopathy, a flavorful IPA, and Seeing Colors Tropical IPA, with a sweeter / hazy profile. Dont miss their cocktails! We loved the S'More Espresso Martini: vodka, chocolate liqueur, coffee tiqueur, and espresso :-) So much yum! And we ordered various pizzas. Our favorite was the Scenic Supreme (pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, red onions, green peppers, black olives) and the Vista Veggie (about the same without the meats). I also saw friends devouring Caprese Canyon (olive oil, minced garlic, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, roma tomatoes, balsamic drizzle). And of course regular pepperoni. Tasty crust, tasty red sauce, (you could get white sauce), generous toppings. We got the large sizes, which were enough for at least four people per pie. Sandwich-wise, the most popular was the Cuban Reuben: marble rye, corned beef, ham, swiss cheese, sauerkraut, dill pickle, and Russian dressing. It's the added ham and pickles that move it toward a Cuban sandwich. Well-stacked, hot, and flavorful. For local flavor, the Goetta sandwich: that flavorful Cincinnati oat-pork hash, with candied bacon, american cheese, pickled jalapeños, lettuce, and ranch. Here and there we shared Buffalo fried-Cauliflower with celery and ranch on the side. This was. Not as spicy as it could be. But if you're going to eat cauliflower, this is tasty approach. We like the tangy Fried Pickle Spears better, served with lightly-spicy chipotle ranch. And we added some fresh crunchy Caesar salads, too, and and amazing pecan, apple, blue cheese, cranberry salad! So many candied pecans! Somehow, the servers kept up with an erratic flow of orders from different groups, keeping track on portable devices, so it was easy for each group to settle their own bill as-needed. It may not sound like much, but it was impressively smooth and error-free. And the staff remained helpful, and cheerful throughout. They built a large playgroup area with slides and climbers and more. Inside there's a large play camper that we spent a lot of time in, too! This is a great place for fresh-air dining, for large groups, and especially for kids. We lived the food and drink. Lots of wonderful leftovers, especially those huge pizzas!

This place has tons of parking which is free. The pricing for mini golf was really good better than anywhere else - unlimited and two different 18-hole courses (I will say the courses itself could use an upgrade - new paint or adding some objects to the course to make the established holes a bit more challenging. We paid 9 dollars per person. The driving range was also pretty cheap for buckets of balls - it would be a fun afternoon to bring the dads for driving range, the kids for mini golf and the moms can eat food and hang or enjoy the range as well. The food looked good, but we did not partake - the drinks were decently well priced - a can of beer 3.50 - a sway was 6 bucks. They have free concerts every now and then at their art installation, which is pretty cool, I also think it's cool how they do 5 buck Mondays. The staff was nice enough, my only complaint is the grass was a little overgrown, so we got ate up with chiggers and skeeters.

I like the decor from the coffee bean bags being used as blinds and the added touch of fresh flowers! The only thing I'm not to fond of is their cotton decor that they have if a few areas in the cafe'. My boyfriend and I were greeted right away and were told to sit wherever we like. The server was really kind she gave us some food recommendations on sides in which I tried their hash brown casserole. Not quite what I expected as it was a hashbrown mixed with cheese but it was pretty good. She allowed us to taste one of the beers before we committed on one. I haven't been to many cafés that have beer on tap but they have two kinds and I think that's pretty cool! I got a gingerbread latte which was tasty, not much of a gingerbread flavor. For food I ordered French toast with turkey bacon and it was perfection ! My boyfriend ordered a shrimp and grits and decided to get one to go because he had ordered it before and it's his favorite! We had informed the server about our to go Oder while ordering but when we received our check we didn't see it on there and ended up waiting a bit until it came out. They always have great food and great service. If you haven't been go try it!
