Living so far out of town, it wasn't worth it to drive all the way back as it would have taken me an hour round trip. So disappointed on this! You can bet if I return, I will double check the bag. For me this was a rare expenditure. However, the food I did get was just fine.

A trip down memory lane!…read more I lived in Manhattan for a couple years at two different times in the 90s and early 2000s. Vista drive-in was a staple for breakfast at our office on Casement Road. I brought my wife to try this Manhattan treasure 30 years later and it's still amazing. Wonderful biscuits and gravy. We were absolutely delighted with the delicious food and wonderful customer service. I'm glad to see this incredible place still thriving. It's a 1/1 location. Not a chain. They always had great hamburgers too.

Drive through service was quick and friendly. This little burger impressed me so much that I rank it above two of the top ten (including the one on the same street). I recently visited with several friends and we were greeted with a line that was literally out the door. However, due to the quick service we had our food at our table within 15 minutes of walking through the front door. We each ordered a box combo and everything was incredibly fresh, hot, and flavorful. I feel that the value is generally good when going to Canes. Occasionally there are some questionably undersized strips but this was not an issue on this visit. Overall the restaurant was surprisingly clean considering the volume of customers and high rate of table turnover. Two staff members were constantly clearing and cleaning tables leading to a clean establishment. The cash register attendant and food caller were both friendly!

I ate "The Usual" which is my go to when eating at a new breakfast place. Eggs bacon potatoes and bread of choice. I got the English muffin. The Usual was fantastic. Eggs were cooked perfectly, bacon was crispy and the potatoes/English muffins were fantastic. My only complaint is the coffee was slightly bitter. Not horrible, but not my favorite cafe coffee. I added some cream to knock the bitterness and boom, it was good. My waitress was very attentive so I never needed anything or waited for anything. It was quiet, quick, and everyone was very friendly. The place was clean, neat, and tidy. I would 100% eat here again and recommend it. With that said, I'm still confused as to why they weren't very busy...maybe it's because they aren't in the "hip" area of Manhattan. If so, just drive out and eat there. It's pretty good. 5 star for a Cafe from me. Not sure it's considered a Cafe, but it checked the Cafe box for me. :-)

We sat at Popeyes waiting so long for our food that, at one point, I decided I didn't even care…read morewhat it tasted like anymore--I was giving them one star regardless. I thought Popeyes was fast food. Now, I realize I've experienced longer-than-average waits at pretty much every Popeyes I've ever visited, but this was something else. After 16 minutes, the two orders placed before ours were still at the counter asking where their food was, and ours was nowhere in sight. At one point, someone came to our table and offered us free pie because of the wait--which was a nice gesture--but we still didn't have any food. Finally, after 34 minutes, our food was ready. Now for the honest food review: The wings were fabulous. The strips were very stringy. The red beans and rice were good, the coleslaw was average, and the biscuit was very dry and tough. The young woman at the counter was incredibly sweet, and I appreciated her kindness. However, overall, I'm still giving this location one star. No matter how good the food might be, I will never come back. A 34-minute wait for fast food is simply unacceptable to me.
