I brought my wife to try this Manhattan treasure 30 years later and it's still amazing. Wonderful biscuits and gravy. We were absolutely delighted with the delicious food and wonderful customer service. I'm glad to see this incredible place still thriving. It's a 1/1 location. Not a chain. Drive through service was quick and friendly. This little burger impressed me so much that I rank it above two of the top ten (including the one on the same street). And I usually don't eat this type of food this early but my wife wanted it and I was heading back to junction city and the fort Riley Popeyes was not open today. So I had no choice but to try to grab some here before I head back to JC and I arrived at around 1040. I waited in the drive thru and got no answer, so I went inside. I stood in the line for about a minute before I was told they open at 11. Which was frustrating. At this point I was dedicated to getting Popeyes because my wife convinced me to do so, and I really wanted to try the new strawberry biscuit. So I ran some errands until it opened. I even gave them extra time between opening and returning because when I first went inside it seemed they were already behind schedule. When I came back the gentleman in front of me waiting at the Speaker in the drive thru for an answer for about 4 minutes until he got a response. It took us both about 10 minutes to order and get our food. It's still not the worst Popeyes I've been too but they for sure need to reinforce their weak points. I've never had a bad experience besides small inconveniences such as waiting a while, and occasionally they'll forget a food item but nothing deal breaking. The quality of food has never been bad for me fortunately. If you go to this Popeyes just be prepared to wait a while and double check your order before leaving.

Now for the honest food review: The wings were fabulous. The strips were very stringy. The red beans and rice were good, the coleslaw was average, and the biscuit was very dry and tough. The young woman at the counter was incredibly sweet, and I appreciated her kindness. However, overall, I'm still giving this location one star. No matter how good the food might be, I will never come back. A 34-minute wait for fast food is simply unacceptable to me.
