The sandwich I ordered was the lulu which is turkey and bacon and there was 1 piece of turkey for a $13 sandwich!? Grateful for the two young men running the store today on this beautiful sunny Saturday when I'm sure they'd rather be anywhere else. Received a greeting upon entering, made use of their very clean restroom, received straight forward, courteous service at the counter and enjoyed the quiet ambience. High quality meats, cheeses and vegetables made for a very pleasant pit stop sandwich. I personally think the #11 Country Club is always the way to go. Not sure what's going on at this location. We stopped last evening, and hubby mentioned his sandwich was really thin . He ordered turkey and cheese.He asked for bacon and pickles. No tomato. Me? Veggie no mayo. Tonight, I asked for pickles to be added. BTw, you have to be specific here if you want it cut in half or the bread to not be scooped off the top of the roll. And if you want or don't want condiments. Ok..so I thought mine looked sparse last night and tonight for sure, yup, it was. Both of my sandwiches had a VERY thin passing over of avocado spread. We were traveling back from CA and it was about 9pm on Sunday 7/17. Knowing we still had a bit to drive and places were closing, I hurriedly searched for a quick food stop. Leaving the kiddos in the packed car I went in to order for everyone. Knowing it was 8:45 PM I wasn't expecting much. When I walked through the door I could see a handful of workers. One was mopping, another was putting away food, another was cleaning tables and chairs, etc. A young man kindly greeted me and asked what I would like. Seeing all the closing preparation's I informed him that I was going to order five sandwiches. I also told him we would take whatever bread they still had out so I didn't cause any trouble. He replied, they would make whatever I would like and it's no trouble. I ordered three sandwiches special and two off the menu. The individual taking my order, who I later learned was Michael, talked to me about the rewards program. He waited patiently while I signed up. I know the establishment is open until 9 PM but I also walked in feeling already like I was putting people out. Being treated like the first customer of the day, rather than the last, was not only unexpected but such a pleasant surprise. I informed all the guys working how grateful I was for their kindness and positive attitudes. I then asked if I could take a picture of them. Friendly cashier food is good. But they aren't cleaning anything. The tables are spaced for seating but every table available is DIRTY on and under it. Very gross even if we didn't have a pandemic. So the food here is good and service is fast. My problem is that I walk in at 1130am on a Thursday and it is literally hotter inside the restaurant than outside, in ARIZONA!? I asked the staff and they said that's the temperature management makes them keep it at. So apparently a sweltering 90 is where they like to keep it so employees and customers look like a shiny glazed donut while trying to enjoy some food. Decided to just get it to go and let management know it's better to pay your electric bill with your customers in mind instead of your cost while you're not working or trying to eat food in these conditions from the comfort of your home or office. (June 14, 2023) - aside from the establishment being tidy, clean and well maintained, I wanted to give a personal shoutout to the sandwich artist who took care of me, Jayce! Jayce has an amazing attitude and a gift for customer service. She was quick to greet me upon my arrival and ensured I was taken care of, all with a smile and awesome attitude. I hate to say it, but a lot of places these days have employees, younger ones specifically, who lack personality and a honorable ability to interact and make the customer feel like they're appreciated rather than a burden. To me, Jayce didn't make me feel like she was there just to make ends meet although realistically, why would anyone work unless they needed to? I just genuinely appreciate the fact that she didn't make me feel like I was burdening her or wasting her time. She really seems to enjoy her job and most of all, take pride in helping customers out. I was out in Buckeye for work and this was the slowest sandwich shop I have ever been to. Typically I go to Jimmy John's and my sandwich is out in less then 10 minutes. I mean they have to have it out with their slogan. However, I ordered my food and it took 37 minutes for me to get my sandwich. I wasted my whole lunch time standing around. I asked not once, not twice, but three times were my food order was and they kept telling me they would get to it. I had 2 people who came in after me get their food within 10-15 minutes and it was not an online order. Their system was messed up. Every ticket that came in online went in front of everyone that was in their actual shop. I finally had enough and went to ask for my money back and they refused. I am sorry, why are you refusing to give me my money back when I had not even been given the item I paid for. The management needs to come in and fix everything about this place. read more
