I'm surprised by the number of two star reviews! We ordered a couple appetizers to share and enjoyed our food. The nachos are absolutely massive! We had our jalapeños and pico de gallo on the side. Our server noticed we didn't have guacamole so she brought some out for us. For such a large plate of nachos, they did a good job with distributing the toppings throughout the chips. We also ordered poutine and thought it was pretty good. We came at an off time, like 3:30pm so not overly busy. Our server was friendly but could have stayed more on top of water refills. I've been to multiple Margaritavilles and know what to expect. I came to celebrate my friend's birthday. The outdoor patio was nice and the weather was absolutely perfect to sit outside. I ordered the strawberry daiquiri and it was a little watered down but still tasty. I ordered the Beach club which came with bread, turkey, and bacon. It was alright, a little dry. Me and my wife were visiting Niagara Falls for our anniversary. So this place had karaoke since it's a hobby of ours, (they have it Saturday nights). It's near where the Falls are, so we decide to stop in for dinner. We were seated right away when we walked in. The place had a decent amount of people, but service was pretty quick. Our waitress Jasmine was very nice. She checked on us frequently throughout the night. She made sure she got our orders right too. The food came out in a timely manner. Everything was cooked, just right and just to our liking. My wife was very pleased as well with the quality. The DJ they had there for entertainment was great. He made sure everyone who signed up, went up in a timely manner. If we're ever back in the area, we're definitely coming back here. It was a great time and it's a nice walking distance from most of the hotels. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I went in there and immediately left and did not even get to order any food. First of all the hostess and waitress were some of the nastiest people I had ever met in my entire life. They were condescending rude and acted like everything was a chore. I got an attitude from our waitress just for asking for water when she asked what we would like to drink. I assume their attitudes were their "friendly Canadian welcome". I proceeded to order my food and I asked to remove one single thing from the entree that I was ordering as I was allergic to it. Keep in mind that I order this same entree at the other Margaritaville chains and never had a problem. Not only was the server rude to me, I had explained to her I was allergic to the ingredient and it was a simple request and she said they cannot do that. I told her I have been to this chain in other locations and they have accommodated me. She said that's nice but they won't accommodate me because it would take the chef too much time which I didn't understand how given that he's leaving out an ingredient. She kept being nasty and giving me attitudes about the entree I was attempting to order so I politely handed her back the menu and told her we won't be eating there. I didn't bother to speak to a manager as I assume everyone there is like that from what I observed. She had no cares or no apologies for her attitude or the fact that she lost the restaurant a customer. While Margaritaville is certainly a fun experience- it's got a cute theme that they are very committed to with their decor and music - the food and drinks are horrible quality and incredibly overpriced. We ordered 2 Margaritas, one of them spicy jalapeño flavor. Instead of tasting spicy, it tasted just like pickle juice. The Pomegranate flavor was a bit better, just tasted like sugar and was way too sweet. We also order spicy cauliflower bites, which were promised to have a wide variety of seasonings on them. Not only did they lack any spice, I don't even think they put salt and pepper on them as they were terribly bland. The service on the other hand was very good, our waitstaff was very attentive and friendly. But I likely would not return to this establishment. read more

It was solid, and the service was pretty good. The only complaint I might have is that the check was a bit slow. But the fish and chips I got was good, the beer was good, and the manager came by and offered me a bottle of vinegar to spritz on it, which I haven't had for years and enjoyed immensely. The entire visit was a disappointment. First, we were steered to a high top table in the bar when tables were empty in the dining room. Next, the bartender came out to take our drink order. I asked for unsweetened iced tea. She responded that all they have is sweet tea. So I ordered a diet soda. Neither the bartender or the server who took the rest of our order mentioned that they don't do free refills until we had finished our drinks while eating our appetizer. It's a typical Margaritaville restaurant, nothing unique, but we were there to toast to Jimmy on the day his death was announced to the public. The nachoes were piled high with stuff and delish. Being a lifelong fan of Jimmy Buffett, and having the pleasure of meeting him a few times, I can't help but wonder how embarrassed he would be to read this review. Yes the ambiance / music was great. The food was good and service was ok. But here's what annoyed me so much that I can never return to this or any Margaritaville. 1. They charged for fountain soda refills. It's been a very long time since I've been at a sit down restaurant that charged for fountain soda refills. And I've never been to one that charged without noting it on the menu or at least having the server mentioning it prior to bringing the refill. 2. One person in our party had a grilled chicken sandwich. As it was somewhat dry, they asked for some mayonnaise, which the server promptly brought. When the bill came, we were charged $2.00 extra for the mayo. This is a condiment for a dry sandwich..... what other restaurant charges extra for this? When I commented on these two items to the server when we received the bill, she said something like "Yeah they make us charge for everything, there's nothing we can do about it". I mentioned that the chicken sandwich was ordered without tomato, and the Southwest Chicken salad was ordered without avocado and diced tomatoes.....wasn't there a credit for these since they charged for mayo. The server said "No". 3. On the bill, when it did the math for the suggested gratuity, it showed the percent of the total bill (including taxes) rather than the subtotal. This is also not standard and I'm sure most people wouldn't notice. Margaritaville is just trying to trick their customers and and disrespect them. I did notice and left an appropriate tip based on the subtotal. These simple little items are so offensive to me that Margaritaville just lost a customer. My family even had a reservation and a Margaritaville resort for later this summer that we just cancelled because we don't like being treated like suckers. read more
