Loaded potato with pulled pork #2 no sour cream

This place is exactly what we needed here! And it's about time! Finally some bbq that isn't as dry as the rub that is used! The brisket comes with options of marbled or lean. They have burnt ends, ribs and about anything, even banana pudding (Yum)!Literally Something for everyone! Say bye bye to those frozen mass produced chicken tenders they have hand breaded made to order ones that are incredibly good! Outside seating with cooling most fans with a nice smell of authentic pit bbq to give you that relaxing feel even on the hottest of days! Service is great very hands on I made a mistake while ordering and changed it after I paid and had no issues whatsoever they changed it with ease! All the workers seem to be very knowledgeable already and well trained! If you have not tried Jim 'N Nick's make tonight that night you won't regret it!

Staff was friendly and attentive. Everyone seemed happy and enjoying their job. The food was amazing. You can taste the time and effort in every bite. Had the combo platter brisket, pork, and sausage. Some of the best bbq I've had. I will definitely be a regular here. The place is well decorated and very clean.

I could only take one bite - immediately spit it out and threw it away.

The food is just fair. There is better BBQ in other BBQ restaurants in the area. It's fast food at full service restaurant prices.

After landing at Myrtle Beach International Airport, my friend and I headed straight to Simply…read moreSouthern Smokehouse for lunch--and it was the perfect way to experience Southern hospitality. If you're looking for authentic Southern comfort food rather than another seafood buffet, Simply Southern Smokehouse is one of Myrtle Beach's best-known local favorites. The restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring a wide variety of home-style classics in a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. One of its most charming traditions is that the staff periodically break into song, creating a warm, welcoming experience that's uniquely Southern. The buffet changes daily, but during our visit it featured an impressive selection including crispy fried chicken, fried pork chops, pulled pork barbecue, smoked chicken legs, collard greens, green beans, cornbread, banana pudding, soft-serve ice cream, and peach cobbler. The fried chicken was outstanding--crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside--and the pulled pork was tender and flavorful. Personally, I tend to prefer barbecue with a deeper, smokier profile, so while I enjoyed the pulled pork, this is better described as a traditional Southern buffet than a destination for smoked barbecue. The homemade desserts, especially the peach cobbler, provided the perfect ending to the meal. The value is exceptional, especially considering the variety and quality of the food. The staff was genuinely friendly, and the singing added a fun, memorable touch that made the restaurant feel more like a community gathering than just another buffet. I also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of complimentary pocket New Testament Bibles available for guests near the entrance. If you're visiting Myrtle Beach and want to experience classic Southern cooking at a reasonable price, Simply Southern Smokehouse is well worth a visit. Come hungry, expect hearty comfort food rather than competition-style barbecue, and you'll likely leave satisfied.

Pulled Pork was acceptable with a lot of BBQ sauce. Collard Greens were OK. Grits were not bad ! If you like banana cream pie/pudding, there's was pretty good!! I would not return. But where else do you go with a bus full of 50 senior citizens?

Since I was visiting the city, and this place had such high reviews, I decided to give this place a try. First of all, staff is friendly, and the menu is straight forward. My frugal meter wasn't disturbed by the pricing at all. They are pretty reasonably priced consider the cost of food now and days. My issue is that I'm from New Orleans. Many consider my city the definition of food flavor town. Taste is very important in Creole and Cajun cooking. You may actually like this place and frequent here, but I wouldn't break my neck to go to this place. Texture wise, things were fried well and cooked to appropriate levels for me. The cornbread did not have sweetness and was very hard. Overall, much of my food didn't have a flavor pow. Chicken, ribs, yams, beans, and okra all needed love. Were is the seasoning? The food was prepared by someone that can cook, but honestly, it tasted healthy. I don't want healthy versions of soul food. I want to eat candied yams and worry about my sugar levels later. I want to eat different meats and wonder what season blend was used. It's things like this that makes me not rank this place higher. You had a little flavor in the gravy and rice. One big exception to the rule: The peach cobbler was DELICIOUS! Whomever made the peach cobbler should fix all the food. The flavor was hitting. The crust was firm but very forgiving to the utensil. This place will be gold for many people. For me, it was an average dining experience. Bring cash. They prefer cash, and your bill will be lower because of that fact.

They have a lot of different types of seating and the space feels laid back which I like. Our server was great - super nice and gave great recommendations! We got the scallops appetizer which was actually really good and I think came with 6 scallops along with some crusty bread. Was a good dish to split for a light starter. I got the green salad and added salmon to it. Sometimes ordering a salad can feel quite boring but was genuinely impressed by the salmon portion and how well they did this. It was really good! The star of the show though is the desserts - don't skip!! We got the lemon blueberry cake and the hummingbird cheesecake and not only were they huge but super high quality. You can tell they make them in house! Still thinking about the dessert.

Chef Bo was not only personable (he came out to personally ask how I wanted my salmon cooked) but he was absolutely on point with the recommendation. Wings cooked to perfection. Pot pie seasoned like a pro. Salmon...let's just say I ate until I felt the top button on my jeans start giving me the side eye. Burgers were also delicious. ...then as if that hadn't been enough for the 5 stars, here comes Chef Bo co-signing the dern hummingbird cheesecake. We took 3 slices to go. Nuff said. Listen...if you thoroughly appreciate good food...just get there. TODAY.

She was pleasant and patient, considering we had three teenagers at the table with one of them ordering like 5-6 sodas (to my dismay and horror lmao). She joked she should get one of our kids a pitcher. We had the fried chicken, the fried pork chop, chicken dumplings, and the BBQ ribs. Our favorite were the ribs. The sides were a hit. We got the fried okra, the mashed potatoes, the mac and cheese, green beans and fries. For the additional side it is $2.99 a person. Honestly, I felt the sides were so tasty & better than some of the meat dishes. The fried pork chop and the chicken and dumplings were not a hit at our table, but we did devour the fried chicken and get an extra order of ribs. We had no idea that this was a bottomless refill, but I don't know how anyone orders more than one extra entree because the portions are huge and quite filling. We were lucky to get a table close to the window so we could have a nice view. All of the workers were courteous & kind. If you are super hungry & have a larger party, you have to come here at least once, while visiting Broadway at the Beach. They also brought out biscuits to our table while waiting for our food, and those are hefty and warm. Hooray for another good Southern eatery during our visit to Myrtle Beach.
