The restaurant was very accessible, right on 17 with a large parking lot. The colors inside and outside were very pleasant and welcoming. Very clean inside, very good floor plan. Zoey, our server, took our drink orders as we decided what we wanted. The coffee was fantastic, smooth, hot, drinkable and in my own crafe. Great coffee! Our food order was a senior plate (2 pancakes, 2 bacon and 1 egg) and a 3 egg vegetable omelette with ham added, 2 pancakes with a side of bacon and wheat toast. Did I mention the coffee was great . The order came within a reasonable time and was exactly what we'd ordered. Pancakes were light and fluffy serve with warm syrup on the side. Bacon was perfectly crispy not burnt. The omelette was massive, stuffed with vegetables, mushrooms, diced ham and cheese. We had enough for leftovers, half the omelette, 1 pancake. The will not be our only trip to this restaurant, we'll definitely be back out next trip to NBM. Great coffee...

As a 24\-year special education teacher and the sister of a brother with cerebral palsy, this experience was especially painful and disturbing to me\. We have eaten there many times, but after what happened today, we will not be returning\. I overheard a grown man and two grown women laughing about the "short bus" and making fun of children with disabilities, including children who wear helmets and hit their heads\. At one point, the child with them, who appeared to be around 10 years old, fell onto the floor and pretended to have a seizure while the adults were laughing\. What made this especially disturbing was that a young adult with cerebral palsy was sitting with his family approximately 10 feet away\. He was in a wheelchair, and his family was helping feed him\. I initially asked to move tables because I didn't want to listen to it anymore\. While we were moving, I asked our waitress if the man making the comments worked there\. She told me he was the owner\. He was wearing the restaurant shirt and was on duty\. I decided to tell him how I felt\. After we moved, he came over again, apologized, and said he has a "big mouth" and needs to watch what he says in public\. He then offered to pay for our lunch\. I declined\. I wanted to pay for our own meal\. I wasn't looking for a free meal--I wanted him to understand why his behavior was unacceptable\. Our waitress was very nice, and this is not about her\. I am sharing this because I believe people deserve to know what I personally witnessed when deciding where they spend their money\. An apology is appreciated, but disability should never be something adults teach children to laugh at\. People with disabilities deserve dignity and respect whether they're sitting ten feet away or nowhere in sight\. As a special education teacher and someone who had a brother with cerebral palsy, I know firsthand that people with disabilities and their families deserve compassion, respect, and inclusion--not ridicule\. Not to mention what a miracle my sweet Sam is\. Sam and I will be choosing another restaurant from now on\.

My 10-year-old says it's the best fried chicken he's ever had, and I loved the collard greens, which reminded me of a Korean comfort food 시래기 from my childhood. The soups and vegetables were excellent too. A special thanks to Gary for his warm hospitality and wonderful conversation about Korea. Magnolia's isn't just a great restaurant--it feels like visiting old friends. We can't wait to come back next year.
