Service work

Was with the Nissan side. Took a vehicle in for alignment and considering I have the same wear on the tire on front after rotating tires, I'd say it would probably be safe to say they used the advisor tool that scans your vehicle when you drive in. Since I was there for the shortest time I have ever had an alignment. And I only received that printout from that system instead of an alignment spec for front suspension when I left. Took it back and they had me wait for over two hours only to come and tell me the machine was down. So something i was only there for alignment only you let me wait over two hours. After asking to speak to management at that time I was only addressed by children running there service area and individuals that probably shouldn't be in the service area. Filed with the BBB and they lied in there statement saying I hit a pothole after alignment. Which was incorrect. I presented all the documentation ben the previous alignment when a nismo certified kit was put on with new tires and alignment four weeks earlier. In fact it was brought in to them to align after I did hit a pothole and noticed wear on the new tire before bringing to them. Then after same wear on tire. The little speed bump analyzer printed a sheet that said alignment not possible that they gave me and had my vehicle done in within thirty minutes. So basically parked it on the side of the building where I saw them put it. They didn't realize I was on that side looking at cars. Soon after walking in it was ready. Then when I went back they gave me the run around and had me wait and said their machine was down because I questioned whether they actually aligned it. So you be the judge on what you think. All documentation enclosed including previous alignment seeing weeks earlier. Last photo what they gave me when they had me wait over two hours for nothing. Next to last only thing I got for specs on vehicle after I gave them 150 dollars. Also there's a photo to show where the kit was purchased from a Nissan dealership. Enclosing that information because they implied to BBB in their statement that kit was some aftermarket brand.

Serviced battery? Does not look like it to me.

First off, I gave the Jim Burke Service Center 2 stars as the employees are very nice. That is where the positivity ends. I decided to try Jim Burke Service Department as it is the closest to my residence. I found out after my visit that not all Subaru dealerships and service departments are created equal. And I have been to several over the last few years. I paid a LOT if money for my 60K mile service. The Subaru maintenance guide showed the 60 service costing $665.17, which included replacing the spark plugs, brake fluid, and the normal oil and filter changes. I asked the Service Department to NOT rotate my tires. The service department rotated my tires. My request was for a specific reason. It was not honored. Next, the service department charged me approximately $44.95 for a battery service kit and CPR. My battery appears to have not been touched, still having leaves and debris on it. Terminals looked the same, not touched. Even the positive cover remains where I left it prior to service (and yes, it fits on there just fine). Next, a bolt was left out where a plastic enclosure attaches to the radiator cover. This was there before this service was completed. Lastly, I was charged over $30 bucks for the replacement of the cabin filter. I found it laying on my passenger seat after I paid my over $1500 service bill. When I brought this to the attention of my service writer, he asked if my glovebox had been locked. I confirmed that it had been (and they had the keys). He then told me it was the reason and he would have a service tech come out and replace it. Even if there is a policy about accessing a locked glovebox, that could have been asked while it was still in the shop. Also changed was the front and rear differential oil, $189.00 per axle. I was charged $359.95 for the spark plug replacement, again, it was identified on the Maintenance Guide on 26-Oct-22 as being part of the $665.17 cost of the 60K mile service. I willingly paid the bill as the work needed to be done but from what I saw, the completed work left me questioning the validity of work done vs what I was charged. And finally, there are a few waiting areas and the one I was directed to was the smallest of any Subaru Service Department I have spent time in. There was free bottled water and coffee but that was it. In conclusion, even though Jim Burke's footprint is large and encompassing a few city blocks, it does have some challenges when it comes to finding the appropriate service door to drive into, signed only by a sandwich board taking up a lane on the roadway out front. I will not be returning to Jim Burke as it's well worth it for me to head south to Jackson, MS where it's an additional hour (3 hour drive rather than 2) for a much better service experience. Now I need to have my tires rotated back at my expense and purchase the missing bolt. Lesson learned...

I can speak on the service side, since I purchased my car (from someone else) in 2023, every bit of service has been done at Stivers and I've never had one issue. They have been honest when I need new tires and brakes, taking me into the shop and showing me for myself, the service writers have always been friendly and helpful. Some of these reviews must have been written by other Ford dealerships jealous of Stivers' success.

When I dropped my car off, I was not offered a loaner or rental vehicle, even though the repair took several days. I also received no updates during the process and had to repeatedly call for information. When I picked up my car, it had new issues that were not present before service, including dashboard warnings ("Driver Door Ajar" and "Transmission Not in Park") and a driver's side door that no longer locks. Additionally, I noticed parts appeared to be missing or left loose inside the vehicle. Before bringing my car in, all doors locked properly and these warning messages did not exist. I returned to the dealership as instructed and requested a diagnostic, a reinspection of the work, and a loaner vehicle. I was ultimately told that no further work would be done, no diagnostic would be performed, and no loaner would be provided. My vehicle was returned in worse condition than when it was dropped off, and my concerns were not addressed. I would strongly encourage others to carefully consider their options before using this service department.

For the past few weeks I was looking to purchase a nice MDX and all the ones found in our market…read morewere overpriced based on their mileage, but beyond that I also wanted one that had a great carfax history too (recorded maintenance records, service, emissions, etc...). After searching for a few weeks, I looked outside of Atlanta and discovered these guys at Birmingham Broker. Unlike a regular car dealership, people who have a vehicle that they want to sell, but without going through a dealership, craigslist, ebay, etc... they can let these guys sell their vehicle for a fee of a few hundred bucks. These guys are straight forward, no pressure type of people and they make buying a vehicle extremely easy. I sent them an email letting them know the vehicle I was interested in, let them know the day and time I was going to arrive in Birmingham from Atlanta and when we arrived, the MDX was sitting out in the front waiting for a test drive. Our sales guy was Keith, he was very friendly and professional and stayed long enough so I could sign off on everything, even though it was his son's birthday. The paperwork took less than 15 minutes and we were in and out in no time. This was definitely the fastest service ever. My only complaint is that 10 days after I purchased the vehicle when I went to register the vehicle at our motor vehicle tax department they said they never received confirmation about the transaction and that I could not register the car yet. I contacted Keith right away through email twice and he never responded back, even though that email address was correct. However, 3 days later the title was mailed to me and I was able to register it in my name. Other than this, I definitely would recommend these guys and would buy another vehicle from Birmingham Broker again. [Review #541] (21st Review Of 2018)

I appreciated how they kept me in the loop with texts during the process, which took a little less than an hour. I had made an appointment prior online which was a very easy process and definitely how I'll make all my future appointments. FYI, for anyone who's new to this dealership or unfamiliar with Birmingham: there are 2 bays/doors on the left on 13th Street North, which is a one way street. For Subaru service, enter the 2nd bay. Pull forward and someone will come out to assist. They'll move your vehicle to the service garage and when complete, they'll move your car to a parking space on 13th Avenue North. You receive a text when everything is complete and you just go to your service advisor and sign a document, pay, and you're done. I don't see how any part of this process could be any easier! PLEASE SHARE THIS:…read more I dont want this to happen to anyone else. At Jim Burke Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram in Birmingham Alabama (check thier reviews) I took 2 of my 11 trucks to Jim Burke Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram back in February they had been giving me the run around about my trucks every since then. I Called them in April askin wasup with my trucks getting fixed because THEY DO NOT DO ANY FOLLOW UP OR UPDATE CALLS ABOUT YOUR VEHICLE!! They gave me some excuse about they haven't got to it yet!!! So I bought that lie and waited. Called again in June still nothing!!!! So I called and asked a friend to give me the name of who is over the entire servicing department at Jim Burke Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram and they gave me a name of Ronald Toelken! So I went into the dealership in July and asked for the guy they showed me his office. I walked square dead up in his office and to have a great business man to business man conversation with him about my fleet vehicles. I explained to him that my team rely on their vehicles to install tvs and sound all over the south. And having 2 vehicles sit in his shop for 5-6 month while they try to figure out how to fix them is unacceptable!!! I have truck notes and insurances that must consistently be paid on these trucks!!! He said he understood and had his service men get right on it and fixed one of them got it back to me and we put that one back in service. But the other one he said he had to find a part. So I bought that excuse and left again to wait. I went back in August because no calls from them or anything about my truck. The service guy claimed the part aint came yet. Now im pissed but i hold it in and leave. Here it is September I jus left the Dr ‍ in a sling and I decided to stop back by about my truck. This dude says we got the part last week and we should be able to get you your truck sometime this month! Im like WHAT??? !!!! I want my truck fixed quickly like you did the first one! You mean to tell me it aint on your high priority list to fix my truck first? So you got other vehicles ahead of mines??? "Thats right Mr Parker take it or leave it "! Now that level of unprofessionalism pissed me the hell off!! So this guy tells me to leave the premises! I told him i will when i get my vehicle!!! He went and called the cops on me to have me tresspassed off the property because I told him they had bad reviews for the exact same issues!!!! Now i had to have my truck towed to a new shop for the repairs!! What's crazy is these are 2017 Ram Promaster City trucks and both trucks air conditioners went out at the exact same time!! Thats what was wrong with em!!!! Im done with Dodge and Im done with Jim Burke!! I bought 3 brand new trucks from them! They have lost me and my business for life!!!! I called my homie Marcus King who owns King Boys Towing and told em i need him to come get my truck and explained to him what happened. Marcus said don't sweat it Lando i have a mechanic who can fix it right away im sending one of my trucks to you now! Their reviews says it all as to why im goin through this!! I had a buddy of mines tell me not to go there because they keep and hide your vehicle. He said all i gotta do is read the reviews!! And my ass took em to em anyway ‍ im mad at my self!! I will Definitely be filing a lawsuit asap!
