We've been visiting the same Jiffy Lube for years. (Selden, NY.) Everyone there is nice and we've never had anyone try to sell a service we didn't need. This week the cold weather set off a low tire pressure alarm in my brother's car. As I'm not usually the driver, I was concerned. It's been particularly hectic month, as my brother lost his vision. Tyler is an incredible employee that I had the good fortune to meet. He immediately offered to provide assistance as I walked my brother to the waiting room. Tyler offered his arm to my brother, slowing his walk to the pace my brother was comfortable with. Tyler suggested that we walk around the rear of the vehicle, to provide the safest path. Tyler called another employee over to move a step stool and bucket, even though Tyler would be a buffer between my brother and the objects. As my brother had only one day of complete blindness, completing any task was overwhelming and, quite frankly, terrifying. Tyler went above and beyond to help our family. I felt bad, because it was the end of the day, just 30 minutes from close, but I decided to give this Jiffy Lube a try and see if they could replace my light quick. I have to say the service I received was not only extremely fast and professional, but also so kind. I totally would have understood if they were tired from a long day but they were so nice about it and helped me get back on the road in just a few short minutes, which is amazing, especially given that my headlight has always been tricky to replace. I arrived and was created by someone new that I've never seen working here. He told me that the price was higher but couldn't give me an explanation as to why. My car was taking excessively long and I watched as other customers came and went. He then tells me, after I asked why it was taking so long, that my drain cap was "weird" so they was doing some other process. I was serviced at the jiffy lube on middle country road in Selden NY on 9/1/22. I needed a routine oil change. I was handed a bolt by Juan, assistant manager. He stated the bolt was too tight when they tried to unscrew it and it broke and they put a temporary seal and I needed to see a mechanic asap. My car has only ever been serviced by Infiniti. I brought the car in to Infiniti first thing this morning, 9/2/22. Infiniti advised me this part was not a factory part and did not come from my car. They also told me my oil pan was damaged and my repair is going to cost $629.56. I called Jiffy Lube in Selden to discuss compensation and reimbursement for my oil change and damage to my car. They were rude, and condescending on the phone. They stated the franchise owner said I need to fight with Infiniti and will not at least reimburse me for my botched oil change by his staff. I want this rectified by jiffy lube as a company, this is not fair at all that I am getting such horrible customer service. I am really hoping that the store owner or corporate will rectify this situation and at minimum refund me my $100+ oil change read more

I recently took my vehicle to jiffy lube to have the AC checked bc it had been blowing hot air. Needless to say things seemed to have gone great until about a week later, the issue had returned. Due to their no guarantee/ refund policy they simply stated there was nothing they can do. I could have had this done for free by someone who knows vehicles, instead I offered to take it to a profesional so that it could be done right. After spending over $200 on this service, I'm extremely agitated that that's the only response these individuals could come up with. I wasn't asking for a refund. I simply just wanted the job I paid these people to perform be completed properly or at the very least tell me what's wrong with the system so that I can take my business elsewhere where customer satisfaction is a priority! read more

Don't really care for this jiffy lube location. I find that nearly 60 bucks for a oil change a little too much. Shouldn't be more than 40 bucks for a simple oil change. Also, I told the guy I just wanted an oil change, but that didn't stop him from trying to hassle me into paying for more crap I didn't need. I know they're a business, but the employees at the selden location come off a little annoying and slightly shady. One last thing: when I got home, I noticed dark heavy grease stains all over my brand new floor mats. Pricks! Aren't they supposed to put down paper covering your car floor mats when they are servicing your car? Never bringing my car to jiffy lube again. I'll stick to pep boys. After getting a response from The jiffy lube customer relations person I decided to take my other car for an oil change here instead of goodyear. The service is not the issue here. Unfortunately the people working, despite the certifications they have received by management, PUSH services . I understand if something is recommended but how do you justify being forced to change the vipers on a 5 month old 2016 car? I just smiled and said no thank you. Let's start by saying I've been in the automotive business one form or another since 1980. I stopped in one afternoon on the way home, only because I was overdue for an oil change, and they were on my way home AND empty. I already knew I would pay more there than anywhere else for this service, but I went in anyway. Not too long after the car was in their service bays, one of their techs comes into the office, holding my air cleaner element, and shuffling unhappily, with an unhappy expression on his face....and tries to sell me a new filter, saying mine needs replacing. Oh, do you mean the filter I replaced myself about 5 months prior? That one? He had obviously been sent in to me by someone else to try and sell me a filter. All I did was smile and tell him to put it back where he found it....paid my bill, and headed home with a big, amused smile on my ugly face. See, in days gone by, when I managed a shop, this was EXACTLY the sort of thing I DID NOT PERMIT OR TOLERATE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. My philosophy has always been that if you want to try and sell a job, there is enough LEGITIMATE repair work to be found on most cars. If not, off to the next. Anyway, I guess I'll just have to watch my intervals between oil changes more carefully. read more

Pathetic, these guys try to push other services on you, suggestive selling, but then they lose a part for your car. Scott removed the cabin filter to show me he thinks it needs to be replaced, it was clean. Now the shock are for the glove box is lost and I have to wait till the part comes in. Came here for the first time today for an oil change. I knew going in that it would be at least $100 bc of my car. Meineke wanted 160 so i tried here...it was 117 and without asking tyler took over 20 bucks off making it 94.80 total. Not only were they nice and cheaper, tyler also gave me some info and estimares on time to do other maintenence. Now normally when places give you info like this they're just trying to get you to buy more stuff. But tyler was telling me about things thay they don't even do there so you know it was honest. This is definitely where I will be getting oil changes done from now on and i would definitely recommend it. Don't be scared of the price, its high because of the car i drive. They have the standar 20 and 30 dollar ones for regular cars also read more

Got my oil and transmission fluid changed and replaced my wiper blades in preparation for winter. Also had my battery checked after recently having to jump start it and they showed me in detail how they tested the battery and the result. I had them replace my battery as well. They even got my radio working again by finding and reprogramming the security code. Hasn't been working for months before then, since my battery died a while back and I honestly thought I'd have to goto the dealer for that. The whole team was great, they work well together and are happy to please. Had my wife's Camry serviced there the same day. This Jiffy Lube has changed leadership since I wrote my last review for them which is why I am writing again to let all know Justin and his team of professionals do just as an outstanding job as Joe and his crew did. Justin was gracious enough to honor all of the previous agreements and arrangements I had with Joe. Justin also extended that care & courtesy to my daughter who I took to his establishment the very next day. This is her first car and he and his team walked her thru every checkpoint with her so she was well aware of her car and what her car needed. Is there any greater endorsement then taking your kids to someone who you know, like and trust. For me, I believe that is the greatest seal of approval and as for me and my family of 5 cars, we will continue to do business with Justin & his team of professionals. read more

I'm going to write this review while the experience is still fresh in my mind. I came today to get use the oil change Groupon I bought several months ago. As far as I know only two people were working on cars, Tyler and Julian, who told me he was the manager. I was told I didn't need an appointment, so I came in and mentioned the Groupon I had to Tyler, who seemed very nice, he asked me to wait in the waiting area until he called me outside. I waited for about 30 minutes, not too long. Then Julian rung me up and I asked if everything was completed, specifically the floors, tire pressure, and the Rain-X treatment. He said yes to all of those, and said he checked, and said he put a sticker on the window for the next time I needed another oil change. Julian was very kind, not rude whatsoever and seemed very helpful. I walk outside to my car and check everything, and that's when I knew they didn't do any of the things I asked about. The windows and were filthy, and the tires did not change in appearance at all. I went back in the building to tell Julian, and he asked Tyler if he did those things and he said he didn't do them. Julian apologized and did those himself, and asked me to come back outside. Even though he did the windows they were still dirty, and when I opened the front door the interior floors were definitely not vacuumed. I went back inside to tell Tyler the floors weren't vacuumed. He said he did it but said he would do it again, so he pulled my car around and did it within minutes. He stated "If there is anything else then the vacuum can't pick it up" and just walked away. The floors looked clean, so I got in my car and drove home. I noticed my car made a slight rattling noise that I didn't have before, and when I got home I realized they didn't even refill my windshield wiper fluid or put the sticker on like he said he did. It was my first time here, I would have hoped they would have given me a good impression so I would return next time, but after they had lied to me several times and made me check my car multiple times for anything else I didn't receive but paid for, I will definitely not come back. I just drove away from having my oil changed at Jeffy lube. They have changed the price and remove the basic service of about $27.00 to $ 45.00. Big jump can't do. I will email the JL Corp and also ask the to remove me from there mailing lists and email lists. PS just stopped in to a Pep Boys service station and for $31.00 I am having the oil change done now. I was a life long Jeffy lube customer and may never return. PSS. does Jeffy Lube know that oil is under $30.00 a barrel as of Fridays market close. read more

Not so great service. They charge 106 dollars for 5 quarts of full synthetic oil. Absolute thievery. I had thought the reason as to why the oil change was 106 dollars was because the employee was going on about how they check my other fluids and fill my tires. So I told the employee I just want a regular oil change and so the price went down to 47 dollars. Still very pricey for an oil change. When i went up to pay they told me that they had given me conventional oil to which I had requested full synthetic. Well turns out the only reason it was 106 dollars was because it was full synthetic. Literally online right now 5 quarts of full synthetic oil is 28 dollars. They claimed they checked all my fluids and air filter and said they filled my tires. Well I highly doubted that knowing my back tires were low before I went into the shop. My back tires were at 12 psi after my visit! Does that seem filled to you? If they claimed they filled the tires and did not how can I say they did anything else! I will not be going back here. The prices are way too high and misleading service as well as broken promises. read more

The people that work at this place are nothing but stupid sleaze bags who don"t give a crap about your car! There just a bunch of immature teeny Bopper high school kids who haven't found there way in life. I brought my car in there for an Oil change and i didn't find out until the next day that my Oil filter was loose and i had 2 quarts of oil all over my Drive way! That Guy Paul is a piece of Crap! I told him what happened and that he had damaged my Engine because i had a ticking noise and he treated me with no respect what so ever. I even brought him Receipts form the work that had to be done and he still denied the problem. I did open a claim He didnt even care about what i said to him and treated me like a total liar.
