Always help me with my car and are honest. A good shop to have help you out and fair pricing.

Dont bother. Thought the guy was a stand up guy- he came via recommended from a local there. Totally ripped off and let crooks put a tracker in my car. Anthony was pleasant and helpful but I dont like being lied to with a bunch of con. They think I have no idea what went down. It was a disappointment to say the least considering I have been complaining about dishonest mechanics and their shops. Well now he is included. Karma is a bitch. 2300.00 dollars later.... read more

After four weeks and $2000 later my son's car is hopefully fixed. Not only does this shop show incompetence in their ability to fix problems without repeat visits that last weeks, they are also rude and unprofessional. My son called the so called owner to ask why his car was taking so long, and he was called a Punk Ass kid. Unacceptable! There are much better repair shops in the area that treat you with respect and don't try to rip you off. Stay away from MTA! read more

Owner is very rude and they do crappy work. All projects take longer than they should and up charge. Don't recommend id rather just walk everywhere read more

Disrespectful mechanic with a fragile ego. Called me a punk ass kid on the phone when I asked if he could really fix my car after I brought it there 4 times in one month. Go to lakeview car care instead read more

Excellent service by owner operated business. The cost of repairs are reasonable and done correctly by qualified technicians.

Extremely difficult to find a good mechanic at a fair price that you feel comfortable with but here at MTA that's what you get. Fair prices with quality work that they truly stand behind. I have been coming here for years and always confident when I pick up my vehicle the work is done right. Thank you MTA read more

Holbrook MTA Auto Service - Reliable dependable and honest - Auto Repair Near Me - Holbrook, New York

If you are having a "ruff" day I recommend taking a moment to "paws" and stop by " Holbrook MTA Auto Service." I walked in and was greeted by " someone " very cute named " Bentley, " I think we will be " fur- ever" friends. Bentley is the best but the other staff members are also " paw-fect." MTA has been in business for a very long time and I can see why. They offer excellent customer service, a knowledgeable team, reasonable prices, and an " a- dog-able" assistant. From car maintenance to major repairs, I highly recommend bringing your automobiles to MTA. I guarantee you'll understand why they're so " pup-ular." I hope you enjoyed this review, it's the " leash" I can do. read more

Such great service! Dropped my car off to have the windshield replaced from a crack and it was done perfectly by the next day. I dealt with Anthony and the guys who work here are amazing, attentive, honest, and give a great deal. It's hard to know which auto places to trust but I highly recommend MTA over any other place! read more

My previous review I gave them 5 stars and said nothing but good things. Well after my experience today my review is a complete 180. I called last week to get a price on 4 new tires and a wheel alignment. I was told I was looking at somewhere between 500-600. I than asked how long the job will take and was told about two hours. I made an appointment for today and had the car in at 8am. Again I asked how long and again told two hours did I want to wait. Obviously I wasn't going to sit there two hours so I went home. By about 11:30 or so I had not heard from them so I called and was told they had not started on my vehicle yet, but would be shortly. I explained I had a 3pm appointment so please get the job done. At 1pm I still had not heard a word, again I called. Got some other guy believe he said his name was rich. He was nasty and arrogant. When I said I was told two hours he said no you weren't. We don't give times. I explained that I absolutely was told two hours and asked if I wanted to wait. His response was that whoever told me made a mistake and should never of given me a time. Bottom line I was called at 4pm to say car was done. So what should of taken 2 hours took 8 hours. Oh, and the 500-600 I was quoted turned into over 700. They not only lost a good customer but I will tell anyone and everyone I speak with to stay clear of this place. I could not believe how nasty that one guy got. Maybe, just maybe if he apologized and said I'm so sorry we got very backed up I would of considered going back. Now hell would have to freeze over before I ever step foot in that joint again. read more

The owner is a low-life piece of trash and their work sucks. Over charged me for shoddy work and had to bring my car back multiple times. They tried to keep billing me for the extra work and were rude and obtuse to my questioning. Run, don't walk away from this putrid trash "repair" shop. read more

The best around! Staff is great and they do the best work and don't overcharge! Highly recommended

Holbrook MTA is the best. Been going for years, always trusted, reliable service. Always do right by me and my car, which is hard to find!

Just another great experience for me. Brought in my Hot dog truck the morning because belts where bad Richie knows I need to get in n out ASAP and did just that. I've been coming here for about 3 years because of another referral from someone that was very pleased with there service from here. read more

I've given this place a couple thousand dollars already this year and my truck is running like shit. Not sure what to think at this point. Taking my baby to the dealership from now on! Later MTA! read more

Suggested to me by family. In fact my family went here for years. I guess richie thought he could pull a fast one. My car had several problems. After realizing a pattern that I was spending hundreds of dollars a couple times and the original problem was never fixed. But I was still charged for other repairs which he probably never even performed. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

I came in today for a check engine light, and less than 40 minutes, my car was fixed and no hassle. Greta customer service...def gained a customer today read more

Guys are great and honest. Had a lot of trouble with my 2002 f150 and 1995 camry. Today they run like a top thanks to these guys. Rich is great. The reason why I say 4 stars is they can be expensive but you get what you pay for. If you are steady customers they usually take off 15%, to give you a break. read more

I took my car to another shop regarding a check engine light. They quoted me $900, saying two parts had to be changed. I brought it to MTA for a second opinion, under recommendations from a friend. Richie was so helpful and personable. He pulled out diagrams and explained to me how the parts involved worked. It turns out I only needed one part changed instead of the two. The total came out to be less than $500. And my cars been running fine since. I am a young 20 something year old female and it feels good to have a place I know I wont be taken advantage of. read more

I brought in my car for a routine inspection and oil change at 9 am on 1/27/2018 and left to get back to my house and await a call when it was finished. On this day, a Saturday, I was aware that they close at noon. At about 11 am I decided to call the business to inquire about the car and if it would be finished before closing time. During the call, I had Richard Sayres, the owner, on speaker with my wife and son because it was my son's car and I wanted everyone to hear how the car was doing. Mr. Sayres belittled my wife with condescending and rude comments over a simple inquiry. My son then attempted to remedy the situation and Mr. Sayres greeted him by screaming on the phone and using numerous expletives and then hanging up on us. According to Mr. Sayres, it was not allowed to check up on the car and that is what caused such a problem. Based on his behavior, we were concerned about the state of the car and wanted to go pick it up. Unbeknownst to us, Mr. Sayres never worked on the car, even though he claimed that he was when we were on the phone with him, and left it in the parking lot without ever telling us. My family and I felt disrespected, mistreated, slighted, and my wife felt scared after being berated on the phone. I am disappointed that this happened and will never go here again after my family has been so verbally assaulted over a simple communicative phone call and not even a complaint. read more
