Not the amazing dee pat that it used to be. Some of the best workers that left will tell you the same. Will never forget how i had a lifter issue and they just kind of threw their hands up and wouldnt repair the issue and only offered to replace the whole engine LOL. I've had a few fine experiences here in the past. It seems since the new owner, not so much. Creaky sound when pulling into my driveway I'm told are the brakes...said I need all new brakes and rotors, over 1k. That didn't seem right to me so refused to have it done yet. I had a mechanic friend check my brakes. They're at around 50%. Also, the creaky noise is not the brakes. Very disappointing. I thought I found a good honest place but I was wrong. read more

I've been taking my cars here for a few years now and every time I come in for a regular maintenance or a repair Billy is always there for whatever I need. Rocco is usually the one to do any and all repairs on my cars (Jag, Volvo, Audi, Fiat) because of his amazing knowledge and ability to diagnose the problem before even hooking it up to a a computer. He's a master class mechanic and you cannot be in any better hands while there. All the guys there are great too btw. No shortage of skill and talking there so no matter what you're in good hands. I did a lot of research with the problem I had with my car. So I knew exactly what had to be done and how much it would cost. The 1st and 2nd place I went to, both mechanics was telling me about some extracurricular things that I Had to do. I can't say they are wrong because I'm not a mechanic but watching you tube videos had me a little skeptical. When I reach Dee Pat I spoke to Scott. Very nice right from the start. He listen to what I said about the problem and did some research himself and told me about the cost of the parts and labor. I felt comfortable with him. I towed the car the next day, told him about my other problems and he gave me solutions at a fair price. I am not gonna say cheap cuz cheap work is not good work, but is was reasonable .I have a disease call mechaniphobia. It's a serious disease lol. I think Scott and the staff of Dee Pat automotive may have just cured me . My car is driving so much better now. I can really feel the difference . I definitely recommend them. read more

I was just reading the guy who left 2 stars and says, "From my experiences, this service should be free especially since I had a major tuneup done at Deepat just a few months prior." REALLY?! He had a metal grinding sound and because MONTHS earlier he had them perform a tuneup they should look at it for free. Right. Go back to California dude. read more

These guys are great. They always explain what is exactly wrong with the car. Never replace things which don't have to be replaced: they explain what problems are has to bo fixed and with which you can continue to drive. I am obviously a car-idiot, but they were always nice and patient with me and never tried to scare me into urgent expensive fix. read more

Used to be a decent place, however they put inferior replacement parts in my vehicle. I Showed ontime for apt which I had to wait a week for and they had me wait hours while they serviced walkins ahead of me. I will never go there again. This shop is the most honest shop I've ever seen. When I was young I worked in repair shops so I have some knowledge about cars. They never try to get you to do unneeded work. I took my 2001 Honda Prelude to get a standard oil change and also have my brake pads inspected. When I mentioned inspecting my brake pads, the owner, Bill, said they would charge $20 because to inspect the pads "properly", you have to take the wheels off. This is the first time I heard about this, as it seems you just need to look above the brake disk. My car has alloy wheels so it is pretty easy to look up there. Anyways, I had them inspect the brakes just to make sure there were no other issues since my car produces some metal grinding noises after start in the mornings. From my experiences, this service should be free especially since I had a major tuneup done at Deepat just a few months prior. However, the "fun" did not stop there. Having moved to New York and getting ripped off several times, I routinely lightly scratch the top of my oil filter to make sure that the filter is changed. Well, I'm glad I did this, because this was first time in my car ownership experience that the oil was changed (bravo!) BUT the oil filter was not. I went back to the owner, Bill, who gave me $5 for the unchanged oil filter (so, I probably still got charged for the labor). I've changed the oil on my car for many years in California and the oil filter is real easy - you change it while the oil is dripping out - unscrew it, wipe, smear oil on the rubber gasket, screw back on. But at DeePat, this simple task was forgotten. I would hate to imagine if my tuneup was done correctly or something was also "forgotten". I didn't trust DeePat to change the oil filter while I waited so I just took the $5 and chalked the rest to experience and this review. Two stars because at least the oil was changed but I will check to see if any leaks out over next few weeks and may update. read more
