Unfortunately, I had a really serious bad experience. On December 2018 I took my Car for a Transmission oil service just because I wanted to have a good condition and to be updated on my car services. With 54000 miles. After that service my car started to feel weak with no strength at all. I went back and spoke with Shane the Manager, they re due the service because they didn't put the correct amount of oil that my car needed, my Car continued with same problem. Manager suggested to take the car to a shop for a diagnostic. I took my car and per diagnostic,Wrong Fluid was inserted to my car. My car has been totally damaged by the transmission, by their mistake. To not make this too long. Jiffy Lube, does not willing to pay the damages that they did to my car. Not even half of what I have to pay for the damages. I would have to pay it out of my pocket. If I'm writing this review is because people needs to know this serious matter. Please be careful, Cars are expensive in all the aspects. Take care of your cars. DO NOT take your car with this Unprofessional company, they do not take care of your car and do not care of their customers. if i could put zero stars i truly would.. i went in for a simple oil change.. after my oil change was finished i got out of my car to pay and the associate got in my car to reset the oil percentage and oil filter which i had absolutely no problem with until i realized he had no idea on how to reset the oil and filter.. after resetting my mpg miles and my trip miles with 3/4 of a tank of gas, he asked someone else to try and reset it.. this is now the second person not sanitized in my vehicle touching everything they can touch.. i told the gentleman in my car who appeared to be the manager that if he was trying to reset my oil & filter that i know how to do it so i didnt need him to, mind you the last time i got an oil changed there i told them the same thing and it wasnt an issue.. he proceeded to stay in the car and told me he could do it for me and i told him no because of covid and he laughed then said " oh really " then told me " i can assure you there's no covid here " which in my opinion is a terrible response because you truly dont know what someone has going on at home.. not to mention on my way to work approximately 4 hours after i got my oil change, they never tightened my screws on my splash shield and that came loose as i was driving to work and i needed a highway patrol to escort me off the freeway to a gas station cause sparks were coming from underneath the car slightly.. read more

I've always changed my own oil and filters, (for about 45 years now) but was visiting oxnard and needed an oil change.somebody recommended this place. the "tech" comes walking in the waiting room with a filthy air filter,obviously not mine. when I change an air filter I always date em with a felt marker. here's the worst part, I totally took the chickenchit route and said yeah,just replace it! just wasn't up for a confrontation. heck, they probably put my used oil back in too! after sharing my story turns out most folks are aware of this rip-off joint! on edit, this was over a year ago now, these scam artists may be long gone. but maybe not! read more

Getting out and leaving your car with a stranger is always an awkward experience. However, Allan was professional and patient as I collected the trash of my recent KFC trip. Aaron and I went over the mileage-service ratio which was very helpful and while it helped me make decisions on what services I needed I didn't feel pressured into buying anything I didn't want. FoxNews was on the TV and the conversation in the waiting room was different and colorful which was nice and not nice at the same time. I left a 4 star rating because the wait can always be more welcoming, but overall service was great. read more

For the second time now iv had my oil changed from this location and I must say after being a little hesitant at first being that its a "Jiffy Lube" and their quick service motto but each time i walked away completely satisfied with their service from start to finish. I have a 2014 VW CC, I took in my car for a oil change and tire rotation. My initial impression was that every one seem very helpful and tentative. Once I chose the service I wanted done, I sat and waited. The service for just a oil change and tire rotation did appeared to take a bit long. Once the car was done I was escorted to my vehicle in a rushed manner, which hit me as a surprise since that was not how I felt in the beginning. Here is were things start going down hill. Part of the service was to vacuum the carpet and wash the windows. Which the windows were cleaner before the service. Secondly I noticed they did not vacuum the carpet. I mention that right away and the service representative said "Oh I'll go do that right away, it would only take two minutes". He took the car around and I decided to wait there since he said it would only take two minutes. Time went on after 15min I decided to go inside the waiting area, since the day was hot. I approached the counter and through the window I notice the service representative was messing with the steering wheel. Which was odd since he said he was just going to vacuum the carper. A few minutes later he comes in and said its done. This time he did not walk me out to the my car. I thanked him and walked out. When I approached the car he had left the car on and the door open. Now, that's not too bad. Except we do live in Oxnard and well that could had gone really bad. Anyways I also thought it was strange that he had left the car on. I decided to turn off the car and turn it back on. When doing that I noticed that the service representative forgot to re-set the service due on the car. I walked back and asked told the service representative that they forgotten to re-set the service timer. He responded, "We don't do that here". But yet he walked back to my car and decided to try to change it. He was not able to figure out how to change it, a different service  representative approached the car. He said "We'll have to google this" He spend 10min and still was not able to change it. Then the first service representative came back with his phone on Youtube and tried to change it. It took him a few minutes but he was able to do it. At this time I was disappointed with the service. But I was glad it was over. When I got home I walked around the car and noticed that they had broken four lug nut covers. Please email me a response or call me. I can provide photos of the damages. was disappointed to see the cashier show 3 different customers the same air filter saying it was dirty an needed replaced. then tried to do the same to my wife I let him know what I had seen of course he denied it. then a month latter and many miles I changed oil and filter myself found out the filter they use is half the recommended size it was supposed to be saving JL a half a quart of oil on every oil change and leaving you with half the filter capacity. After a routine oil change and inspection, Jiffy Lube told me I needed rear brakes...and how fortunate for me, they were having a brake special! I didn't have time, however, so I took a big risk and drove away with "bad brakes." I finally took my car to my car local dealership. Lo and behold, my front and rear brakes were FINE! I came back to this Jiffy Lube after having gotten an oil change there to take advantage of their free fluid top off policy. I was not aware that the free top off is only good for 3 months OR 3,000 miles. I missed 3 months by about 10 days. I was told that they would top off my oil for a $4 charge, which I paid. Bummer for Jiffy Lube that they missed an opportunity to provide outstanding service! Having managed a business, I know such decisions are up to a manager's discretion. The manager was the one who informed me I would have to pay. Unfortunately, for the $4 they gained from me, they lost all future business I would surely have given them had they chosen to provide excellent service. I've been coming here since this location opened. This time had worst experience. When my car was finally done I waited for guy before me to pay. Then cashier decided to call another customer who wasn't even there and it took 15 minutes for him to process her credit card over the phone. I told him that it wasn't cool what he had just done, making me wait with cash while he called customer who wasn't there and just got FU attitude and said he didn't care. Then guy couldn't even count change I gave him. To top it all when I got in my car, the mileage for next oil change was for only 2500 miles not 3500. My car kept telling me oil change required and I didn't feel like going down to Camarillo to the dealership I purchased it from. A friend recommended that I try Jiffy Lube. I'll tell you, I wasn't disappointed one bit. Called first to see if they require an appointment. They are a first come first serve which is different but it worked well. The employee on the phone who assisted me was very friendly and informative. So we pull up and are greeted immediately and are shown where the restrooms are and that they have fresh coffee and water available. They call us up and get my cars information pulled up on their screen, show me what the manufacture recommends and what they have additionally and what the costs are. It was nice to go get a little shopping done with the conviencd of an outlet shopping center within walking distance. So about and hour and a half later we go get my car. The associate goes over everything saying all my fluids are now full my tires are up to pressure and my cars been vacuumed out. I have officially found my new service station. read more

I had $2000+ repair work done in 1/2016. On a trip to Vegas an alternator still under warranty went out and had to be replaced. Fortunately it was almost in Vegas when it happened and not in the middle of the desert. Talked to the district manager, Justin, who was very nice and told me Jiffy Lube would pay for the new alternator right away and then collect from their part's supplier. It is now 6 weeks and no check. When we went to Jiffy Lube yesterday, we were told we now need to collect from the supplier because the district manager had been too busy opening a new store to make good on his promise. I had been pleased with my service in the past but wonder how his team is going to take care of new customers if they can't take care of their old ones. read more

After many years of having both my company and personal vehicles serviced at the Jiffy Lube located at 101 W Esplanade Dr. in Oxnard, CA, I will NEVER return. (Incident number one) During the week of February 27th, 2017, I noticed that my brake fluid level was slightly low and as so I dropped by this location to have the reservoir topped off. I was approached by "the manager" Lupe, whereas I explained to him my issue; Lupe stated to me that they don't top off brake fluid however (blatantly) made the statement (without inspection) that my 2012 Ram pickup needed brakes. I'm not sure to whom "the manager" thought he was speaking to, however I have a vast knowledge of the mechanical happenings of all systems of a motor vehicle. Being rather irritated with Lupe's statement I made it perfectly clear that because a reservoir is slightly low on fluid, by no means indicate that the vehicle needs a complete set up brakes! There were no wear indicators sounding, no indication of a leaky wheel cylinder, nor any indication of fluid loss around the master cylinder, I simply wished to have the reservoir topped off so I could be on my way. Lupe looked at me rather oddly, mumbled that he had to go check with his manager (?) to confirm he could fill my request. After several moments Lupe returned with a container of brake fluid, topped off the reservoir and I was finally on my way. (Incident number two) During the weekend of March 3rd 2017 I was at an off-road event in a very remote area of desert just West of the Salton Sea; upon arrival to our camp location I happened to glance underneath my tow vehicle (the same 2012 Ram pickup) and noticed that a large amount of motor oil was being deposited on the desert floor. Upon inspection, I noted that the oil was discharging from the oil filter area and immediately shut down the engine. Upon further inspection, I diagnosed that the oil filter had not been properly tightened during the last service (preformed at the Jiffy Lube located at 101 W Esplanade Dr. in Oxnard, CA) a repair was made quickly and approximately two and a half quarts of oil was added to the engine to bring it back up to a safe operating level. Upon my arrival home; I thought it best to drop into the Jiffy lube (located at 101 W Esplanade Dr. in Oxnard, CA) to explain the situation and the difficulties that I was forced to endure due the failure of their "Certified ASE Mechanics" to properly complete their job. Again, I was greeted by Lupe "the manager", where I explained my ordeal, and was asked to fill out an incident report. While I was filling out the report, Lupe instructed one of the other employees to pull my truck over one of the service bays for an inspection and to take pictures of the underside of the pickup. After several moments, I was approached by this employee (who was now holding a cell phone with pictures of my truck). He stated that there was no evidence of truth to my story, no oil on the bottom side of the pickup, or filter, and the oil level was not below normal. I this point I was once again becoming rather irritated towards the situation and made my feelings very clear. "Of course it's not low on oil I refilled it after I tightened the filter, of course there's no oil on the filter or general area thereof, I wiped it clean while lying on my back in the middle of the desert, not to mention the heavy rains I encountered on the way home from my weekend outing and, are you now calling me a liar?!?! At this point Lupe "the manager" was nowhere to be seen I stated my displeasure towards the situation to the employee at hand, and to get my truck out of the service bays now (in various forms of description). When Lupe "the manager" finally returned to the register I stated to him that after all my loyal years of returning to the same location it was hard to believe they would risk losing a customer for failing to compensate for my inconvenience at the hands of their incompetence. Lupe "the manager" showed no regret or remorse as I made my final statement, turned and walked out the door, will I ever return....NO.... After eighteen loyal years, this business relationship has been terminated and I will find service in the future with their competitor. read more

Worst Jiffy Lube experience ever. Waited 35 minutes for the guy to come in and give me his "estimate." With only 2 people in front of me.-we were all questioning what was going on.When I questioned the estimate which was $20 more than I've ever paid For basic oil change, he became snarky. I told him I did not want to signature service, just the basic. He assured me that's what I was getting. I looked at the invoice and it said signature a service $55 estimate plus tax. He tried to sell me more stuff and I declined.He told me he would take a coupon at the end. I said great when will that be? He said at least 20 or 30 minutes. Again, 2 people in front of me and 4 guys allegedly working out there. So I politely said no thank you and then he was Very snarky. He told me to get out of the bay-I was not in it, and not to step near my car until they were ready. By that time 2 other people left also. The guy who put my car back together and moved it was apologetic and sheepish.. Kind of experience I would expect to see on a news program about auto repair scams. Today was my first oil change that i have had for my truck since it being in my ownership. I showed up to Jiffy Lube and honestly was very scared before going in. I have seen multiple episodes and documentaries online about oil change companies who upcharge you and say that your car needs things but doesnt even do them!!! The auto shop was keeping peoples cars and giving them back without doing any matinence at all and chargig the customer. The same thing has been done to my other car a long time ago so i wanted to try Jiffy Lube. So anyway i go inside and was greated with "hey boss" with the most professional and kind attitude i have seen. I'm not sure who it was but instead of ignoring my presence from the shop they all turned around and greeted me and asked anything i needed. I was honestly really suprised and the fear of being ripped off was lessening. So i walked in and they checked my truck while i waited and they came back with the news that many of the things were overdue in changing. But here was the difference. THEY HAD PROOF AND SHOWED ME THE DIFFERENCE. This made me very comfortable and instead of a mechanic saying oh you need this, he showed me and this made me happy. So 2 hrs later after waiting i recived my truck and they explained to me what they did and i had a couple of glances through the glass to see that they were doing a quality job. I was tempted to take a look in the oil and fluids they changed to see if they had changed them but i was too confident to worry and simply drove off worry free thanks to the comforting service and view. After paying about 200 bucks for a oil change and transmission fluid change, I feel like ut was the right choice afterall because my truck runs smoother than ever now. So went in to get an oil job today. My regular mechanic was busy and needed to get one before a trip. I was told my Scion xB needed synthetic oil which cost me $50 extra. I told them it was never needed before but they insisted. I called Toyota and my regular mechanic and was told that the xb's take regular oil. I explain this to the guy at jiffy lube and was told that he was not aware of that. Shouldn't they be aware of this!!! I have to say the guy was really nice and polite. But I don't appreciate being ripped off along with them pushing extras on you. Will never go back to a jiffy lube again.
