[[HIGHLIGHT]]I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Jiffy Lube.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I arrived at 7:15am on a Saturday, just 15 minutes after opening, for a routine oil change. I agreed to a tire rotation after it was recommended, first attempt of an upsell accomplished. I planned ahead and even gave myself an extra hour and a half because I was on my way to a water polo game afterward. Based on every previous oil change I've had, I thought that would be more than enough time. I've never had to wait more than 30 minutes for an oil change. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After I had already been waiting for an hour and a half, a different employee called me over to show me my battery test results. He told me the battery charge was low and recommended replacing it. At that point, I was frustrated and told him I didn't want to be upsold on anything else.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I asked whether my tires had even been rotated yet, and he said no. I told them to pull my car out of the bay because I needed to leave. Only then did they begin the oil change. They finished the service and checked me out about 15 minutes later. That made it feel like my time had been taken for granted because I had been patient and had already agreed to the first upsell. I ended up waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes for what should have been a straightforward oil change. Because of the excessive delay, I arrived more than 35 minutes late and only caught the last 10 minutes of the water polo game. That's time I can't get back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I understand that delays happen, but there was very little communication about how long the service would actually take. Had someone simply told me it would be well over an hour, I could have made a different decision instead of sitting there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I understand that businesses get busy, but taking 1 hour and 45 minutes for a routine oil change, especially after arriving just minutes after opening, without clear communication is unacceptable. I can't believe it, it's my own fault. I've read reviews where folks said "I wish I could give zero stars," In this case I wish I could give negative stars. About a year ago I took my vehicle here for a simple oil change. It took way longer than the "in a jiffy" banner said and the name suggests. The next morning I found oil drips on my garage floor. After checking the oil level I took the vehicle back. The explanation was a cross piece that some old oil had dripped on. They resolved the problem and gave me some oil clean up pads. Fast forward to now. Like a fool, I go back with the same vehicle for another simple change. I pulled right up to an empty bay. A fellow comes over and writes me up for an oil change. I explained the problem I had last time. and what the resolve was. I was assured that would not happen this time. Yeah, about that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]So here it is over an hour later, they finally pulled my vehicle out and it sits, hood up as I continue to sit, waiting for someone, anyone, to let me pay and get out of there. Finally, I went over to the fellow who wrote me up and asked if I could pay and go. "Yeah, I'll be right with you, so I can show you the oil is clean and filled" Another ten minutes goes by, as I stand there by the vehicle[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Finally, here he comes. OK, I see the dip stick with the clean oil, now I go to pay... $135 for a small four cylinder engine oil change? The dealer doesn't charge that much. Fine, just let me the $@$* outta here. And guess what I find in the morning... go on guess... I'll wait. OIL DRIPS on the garage floor. I really do not like to write negative reviews but. Never, never, ever, not ever never again. I've not had a worse automotive experience anywhere... "In a Jiffy" I don't blame them as much as I blame myself., I knew this place was not a smart choice. Have had a LOT of scam issues with this site regarding our fleet vehicles. We use Holman as a third party biller that requires approval for service. Techs bring their vehicles and trucks in for VERY specific service and the manager routinely tries to sneak in extra services. This causes delays for my techs as they have to wait on service they didn't plan for as well as Jiffy Lube trying to go back and forth behind the scenes sneaking not needed service through Holman. read more

I had Oil and Filter service plus air filter replacement services done At Oxnard 5th Street shop. They tell you if something needs to be repaired or taken care of. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They told me they would follow up with a couple of repairs for my cross car. Super frustrating experience today. In the past, the technicians would check you in, and give you an estimated time to come back, so you could go do something else. Today no one would check us in. Like they acknowledged our existence but said they couldn't check us in until they had an open bay. So we waited around for 30 minutes and finally they pulled the car in the bay. Still didn't check us in - like multiple guys walking back and forth, chilling. After another 10 minutes I asked them to back my car out so I could go. I understand it's a busy day, but there's gotta be a better way. read more
