They ended up doing all this extra stuff that either she didn't need or could have been replaced myself at a fraction of the cost!! I called and literally asked the guy that answered the phone if they were in the business of taking advantage of people. He literally said, "yes sir" . ALWAYS BRING A MAN WITH YOU. I went in this morning by myself and the people were very nice, but convinced me I needed a coolant replacement on my car that is less than 5 years old. After researching myself, a coolant replacement isn't necessary for almost 100,000 more miles. disappointing! read more

Went for a quick oil change today, just expected to be in and out like the care I have received at other locations in the past. The techs at the Johnnie Dodds location used an evac hose to take remove oil when there was no need to do so. After forcefully breaking off the foot and a half piece of plastic within the dipstick tube the techs told me they didn't know what to do. I had to get out of the car as most of them walked away from the situation. Their conclusion after an hour of time wasted was that I needed to drive my car with a two feet of plastic hose in my engine pan to the next location. Completely atrocious service, never go here. The larger piece of the evac hose in this photo the techs said would "just melt in my oil pan." What a joke. Only go to the jiffy lube in West Ashley they hire TECHS not idiots don't waste your time. If you want to purposely inconvenience and waste your time come on down for an oil change. read more

I was visting from out of town. Could not find this location as there is no signage on Rt 17. I finally asked a policeman whose area this is to patrol. He did not know either. Turned out it was behind a restaurant in the next parking lot? The total charge was well over 100 dollars inclusive of the 31 dollars labor for 10 minutes of work. I was a customer of this company since its founding in Baltimore years ago. I will not ever going back to this organization as an oil change at Midas or another shop would have been considerably less. Do not use this location. read more

Definitely a lot of mixed reviews here but I had a great experience today. Tim was the employee that helped me and he was so kind and efficient and hardworking. Despite it being very busy you could tell he was trying his best to get everyone what they needed and communicated with those who were waiting and thanked me for my patience. This is my Jiffy Lube. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. I have been using this particular Jiffy Lube for my oil changes for over a decade. I tried a different Jiffy Lube location once and was displeased. Never again. This particular franchise has never let me down. When my car was burning oil but I couldn't afford to fix it yet, they topped me off free of charge, as guaranteed. When my tire was losing air slowly but steadily and I couldn't afford a new one yet they pumped me up weekly, free of charge. They never once complained or treated me as a moocher. They have been nothing but courteous and kind despite management changes, staff turnover, and remodeling. They have maintained a high standard of service and quality throughout. Most recently I was helped by John V. and he was supremely friendly and great at his job. I drove there (carefully) with an anole lizard on my hood (it wouldn't get off!) and when he came in to greet me he had it on his shoulder to show me my hitchhiker. I don't understand the negative reviews here and would urge you to give this location a chance to impress you as they always do me. I have nothing but love for my Jiffy Lube, and will come here forever. read more

Totally disrespectful and tricky. Literally not an ounce of customer service. Overheard some really crude conversations that made me feel unsafe as a woman, not to mention the mansplaining I received after I asked if I could have an oil change less than the quoted $130. I saw another comment that said they failed to add the coupon. This happened to me too and when he read out the total, it was the couponed price, but when I looked back at my email invoice, it was full price. This is no surprise to me because I also overheard the guys talking about when they don't like a customer they change their email in the system, so the customer won't receive their email invoice. read more

If I could leave a minus 5 star review I would. My car leaves oil and almost blew my motor because the attendant did not tighten my filter .The manager says this happens all the time! Well it's shouldn't if you know what you are doing. I'm still waiting for the owner to get back to me about rectifying this situation. I will contact better business bureau if nothing is done. I've been to many Jiffy Lubes in the past and they've all been pretty good but this one is different. In general they seem poorly organized and mismanaged. Typically at Jiffy Lube the manager is pretty polished sales guy that up sells you and manages the team in checking all your filters and changing out fluids. The manager here was not so polished and did a poor job of communicating with me. He also failed to add the $10 coupon that I had brought and said that he would. The service staff are a bit rough around the edges but they seemed to get the job done. Overall, this is in the worse side of Jiffy Lubes I've been to and I wouldn't return. Jiffy Lube is always expensive but this place seemed more expensive and failed to add the coupons. I would suggest that you go to another Jiffy Lube down the road or just another business altogether. read more

This location is super convenient for me but I won't be going back no matter what the rep replies with. You ever been to a business and they start off by treating you poorly then they realize how they are acting and then overcompensate? I've had my oil changed all over the US but never have been talked down to as much as these guys did. The other reviews are correct, they are the most expensive for synthetic oil changes. An oil change should not cost over $100 for less than 5 min of work. Avoid this location at all costs. read more

Jiffy Lube installed the wrong oil filter on my BMW, then argued with me it was the correct oil filter. The local BMW dealership confirmed the wrong oil filter was indeed used, costing me another $100 for parts and labor to correct the mistake the Jiffy Lube location made. All I wanted from Jiffy Lube was a refund for incorrect service (which they refused). I will be filing a formal complaint with the corporate office in Houston. read more

THE WORST SERVICE EVER. NEVER AGAIN!! For of all everyone spoke to me like I was just a stupid girl that knew nothing and they took advantage of me and tried to act like it was my fault when this isn't the first time it's happened at this location. I came to this location because I was told they could help with my check engine light (Ik they don't usually help with that stuff but I made sure to ASK multiple times) even when I got to the location I asked and showed the check engine light and they said they could help I just had to wait in line. I had to drive my own car into the 1st bay (never had to do that but didn't question it Bc they had everyone do it) and I was only told to fill out my contact info. When I pulled up to actually be worked on I again told them about my check engine light and they said they don't even have the equipment to do that, THEN they told me they already drained my oil Bc they thought I was there for an OIL CHANGE when I specifically said I didn't Bc I just had it done. At that point, I had to pay for an oil change that was over $90 Bc they already drained my oil without telling me. I called the next day to speak with the manager about the whole situation and he proceeded to tell me that it was my fault and his employees would never say that when they did and never once tried to listen to what I was saying or apologize. I basically came to this location to wait for 30 mins to get a service done that I didn't need because nobody listened or communicated. I have NEVER had a company blame the customer for their miscommunication amongst each other and with the customer. He never even tried to see what the issue was just told me that it's my fault and they wouldn't do anything about it. Idk why jiffy lube even associates with this location it's a JOKE read more

Never EVER again. Young man that checked me in said only " milage?" and "roll your window down".... No greeting, no customer service skills. Then the guy that I checked out with told me that the coupon I had was not good unless I used synthetic blend. Nowhere on the coupon is this printed! I bit my tongue and decided then and there Not again! Lobby area is old and nasty. This location has really gone down hill the last several years. I was out the other day and was overdue for an oil change so I was looking for convenience. After stopping at one place and calling 3 others, I found that my 26 year old BMW has an oil filter that is not easy to come by. Jiffy Lube had it in stock so I headed that way. There were a few cars ahead of me and I was planning on dropping it off, going to get food, then coming back, but I was told that after 5pm, you were required to stick around. It was 12 minutes before that time which I found confusing, but it wasn't really a hassle. When it came time for service options, the girl at the counter was very sweet and friendly, but they definitely try to up-sell you. Plus the prices are outrageous. I might be getting old, but what ever happened to a basic oil change being less than $30. The ones they were trying to sell me were upwards of $70 which I firmly passed on and said I came in for the basic. Before I paid, I found a local coupon online on my phone and they honored it for ten dollars off. Make sure to do this because they had no problem taking it. After all was said and done, it came out to $35 which was fine by me. I was in and out in a somewhat timely manner and the staff were all very polite. I would absolutely come back. read more

Chris and Jonathon were friendly employees who quickly greeted me and told me the approximate wait time (20 minutes) and the new customer service protocols because of COVID-19. My visit there was my third attempt in about 10 days, because I didn't want to wait behind 5 or 6 other vehicles that were waiting or being serviced when I drove by a couple other tones. Perhaps the excellent customer service skills of Chris, Jonathan, and the other employee are what make this Jiffy Lube a popular place. I waited 20 minutes to be acknowledged by the staff. I decided to go inside to ask if this is by appointment only. The lady said no there are only two of us working. I had to wait back in my car because the lobby has a sign stating closed due to renovations however there was no renovations going on. When I was told it was my turn as they were doing one car at a time, The lady started waving me into the garage I stated I was afraid that my car would fall into the pit. She rolled her eyes and stated I will guide you in but I am not driving your car in. I had to drive my own car into the Garage. They made me sit in my car well they did the oil change and I was extremely uncomfortable. It was a sad there, 3 employees doing 1 car at a time. My bill was over $80 for an oil change. Completely shocked when I went to pay. Total rip off. Would've liked to know it was going to cost that much BEFORE the oil change. To top it off: Sand was all over the floor in my car afterwards, berries from a tree in the back parking lot had gotten all over the hood thus painting it with many purple splotches of juice. I didn't listen to the two recent negative reviews and went here anyway. DON'T do it. Drove up to the back doors and centered over on the right side where there was no vehicle in the stall. As I was driving up I see what appeared to be a Jiffy Lube employee standing by the rear doors. He totally ignores me until I'm lined up on the right door then curtly points to the ground in front of the left door. Great - about 45 seconds ago that would have helped. I back up and re center on that door. Then this angry man approaches with his clipboard in hand and I'm a little hesitant to roll down the window but do anyway. He walks up to the car and snarls "Milage." I tell him "9845." His curt response: "Get out and wait inside". Not another word! In disbelief, I do what he says but the previous reviews start to resound in my head. Once inside I notice there are no prices listed for an oil change anywhere and briefly mention it to the one guy waiting to get in his car. Well he blows up - "How the h@ll can they change $98 for an oil change - never, never again." And he storms out. Well, guess I better ask what it's going to cost - but I can't because the inside guy is outside looking at an oil stick and oil cap from a guys who has just returned complaining he just had his oil changed the other day and it's somehow a full quart low. Alarms sound in my head. Thinking on my feet, I ask if they have the zero-20 synthetic Mazda recommends in my car. "I don't think so" say the outside guy. The angry man just stands and stares at all of us with his arms crossed. Without another word I'm in my car and zip over to Firestone where I - believe it or not, get a free oil change by applying for a Firestone credit card. General Manager John took it upon himself to reattach the rear view mirror I had pulled off while trying to adjust it minutes before I arrived. John is a VW expert! He also fixed the squeak in my driver's side door. What a guy! John couldn't have been more accommodating, professional, and personable! Ebullient Erica checked me out and offered me a discount! Have been to this location 3x and was treated poorly each time. The man working has no sense of customer service or common respect for others. Today when waiting in line he began holding up 2 fingers, when we said repeatedly we did not know what that meant he began yelling "2 hours!!!", when questioning 2 hrs for what he became agitated saying "2 hour wait and I am in NO rush". There was only 1 car in front of us being worked on. When we drove back 25 min later there were multiple cars inside. Will never return to this location. read more

This is my second visit to this shop. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Usually it is a quick in and out but not today. One of the bays was being worked on so it was one lane only. I had the time so not a problem to wait. I trust the shop and they do a good job keeping me updated on manufacture requirements for my vehicle. I believe in proper maintenance on a regular basis. I am happy to have a place I feel comfortable asking questions and being treated respectfully. read more

I went to jiffy lube to get an oil change, I was quoted $49 and was told I was entitled to a $ 15.50 discount. I scarcely made into the office when Tim approached me and told me I should spend an extra $18 and get a better oil. I told him that wasn't interested in anything extra.. after I sat down Tim badgered me to get a better oil change costing $88 . He went so far as to tell me that a cheap oil change would ruin my engine , he further assured me that he would take $ 20 off the job. i'm a widow and he found records of my husband getting an oil change there months before he died and he said my husband choose the more expensive job. I told him that would never happen . at this point in time my gut told me to get up and leave but I was planning a long trip and I was under a time restraint. When I got home I realized that they had written on my receipt that they found a bad plug and I refused to replace it. When I called Tim he said he told me about it and I said no. This was a blatant lie. The receipt in my husbands name .I felt prey to senior harrassment and I will never return to this place. read more
