About 2 years ago, my car had a rough idle and it would occasionally jurk while driving. I went to 2 places prior to Pit Stop and they were not able to figure out what the problem was. I went in for an oil change on a Friday morning and it was SO busy. They seemed to be helping quite a few customers at once as well as attending to some mechanical/electrical issues with the HVAC system. It was hectic--and hot--to say the least, and yet I was greeted by a calm, smiling face that seemed unphased by working in such heat. I appreciated his knowledge of what kind of oil my vehicle my needed and swiftness of taking care of me. He told me it could be quite a wait for an oil change, and upon seeing my disappointment with this answer, he immediately went and found someone to get it done. By chance there was an additional employee available and they were able to work on my car within minutes. I was so thankful. I think I was helped by Dennis, the owner. I was surprised today, four days later, to see that he texted me. He reached out to simply check in, offer his direct contact for future assistance, and thank me for my business. I thought that was just awesome. The price was fair and the service was terrific. Additionally, they have free popcorn, coffee, and water in the waiting area, and options of places to go walk to eat or shop nearby while you wait. I am so pleased with this experience. read more

Mr. Leon is a super GREAT HONEST man, I am from out of state and I thought I had an issue with my truck, I took it in dropping it off. Mr Leon checked it out and called me. A code did come up during their check - but he said it was nothing major and my local mechanic back home could take care of it. He could have replaced parts that did not need changing and charged me a ton of money. As he would probably never see me again being from out of state. Nope the cost was MORE than fair. I live in NJ have been in the Mount Pleasant area for the past several weeks. This morning, the low oil pressure indicator light came on in my car. After checking the oil level, with the assistance of a very kind neighbor, it was determined that there was virtually no oil in my car. The neighbor recommended that I go to Pit Stop Auto and Tire. Not knowing this area, the neighbor offered for me to follow him there. I was introduced to Leon, who said that he would change the oil in addition to check all of the other fluid levels, and check my tire pressures as well. In what seemed like no time at all, Leon informed me that he was finished with my car! The neighbor stated that he has known Leon for a very long time, that he does excellent work, and is very reliable and fair. I can honestly say that my day took a turn for the better when I drove away from Pit Stop Auto and Tire. I feel much better about tackling the drive back to NJ in a few weeks. Cannot provide enough positive feedback following my recent visit at Pit Stop Auto & Tire in Mount Pleasant! The Service Manager Leon runs an honest, capable and efficient automotive service operation. As a testimony to honesty, I had the misfortune of recently buying a used vehicle with an oversized oil drain plug installed. For those who don't know, this usually means that the entire oil pan requires replacement. Leon and I discussed the issue and scheduled total replacement the next day at a fair price. The next morning, Leon called as promised to let me know that the oversized plug actually threaded the drain and that the pan did not require replacement! The shop could have easily went ahead and replaced the part anyway, but they decided to take the high road of integrity. My family and I are now loyal customers and could not be happier. I just found my new favorite auto service center. My car was damaged at a nearby car wash resulting in a plastic access panel dragging on the ground. I was not able to drive the vehicle in this condition without further damage. I asked Leon, store manager, if he could please help me by removing the panel so I could go to the dealership for repair. He didn't do that. Instead he had the mechanic repair the panel and also tightened up two other areas that were loose. When I went to pay, Leon told me that it's no charge. I am new to the area and I know where I'm getting auto services done going forward. Leon was also professional with the other customers in the waiting room. No hard upselling or unneeded services. Really positive experience with Pit Stop. Visiting from California and my elderly in-laws "check engine light" came on when we were driving their car. We had it checked out at the local auto part store and they felt it was the alternator causing the problem. We asked if they could refer us to a mechanic or auto repair shop and they highly recommended Pit Stop. I checked Yelp and Google and saw they had a lot of fans and 5 star reviews. I called the following morning and was pleasantly surprised with their friendliness and he told me to bring the vehicle down. Leon Holmes, the Manager, was working the counter and was a pleasure to work with and felt comfortable we were in good hands and with a trustworthy company. I left the car and received a call about an hour later and they told me the alternator was fine and were able to re-set the computer. Went into this place for an oil change a few weeks ago and receive a notification from my car that I have no oil in it. They messed up my plug on the bottom of the car and is leaking oil now. Had to go to another shop for a diagnostic about it. They told me I should dispute the oil change and request reimbursement for their mistake. Never going back there. read more

I understand the current climate of being short-staffed especially in the service industry; however, the response I got via email was, " first come, first serve". That was it. Got my oil change and they didn't try to up sell me on things I didn't need. They gave me a report on things that I may need to take a look at in the near future . I went during a Thursday and was able to have my car taken straight to the back. 30 minutes or so I was completely done and ready to go on. I love the car-wash next door so I came in for an oil change. I guess the week of Thanksgiving is like their black Friday and it was the week before that so it was pretty busy. I had never been before so the guy quickly took my info so that my car would be next in line. They had free wifi, popcorn, and friendly service for days. The waiting room isn't as kush as the car wash next door... I almost wanted to go sit in that waiting room, but it's comfortable nonetheless. The price was reasonable and considering how busy it was, I was out of there in less than a half hour. Plus, they didn't try to sell me a bunch of shit I didn't need or ask for which is much appreciated. Great place for a quick lube job! read more

Its amazing they can offer it at such a low price. Two cleaners were working on our car non stop for half an hour and they did a great job.
