These guys tried to charge me $883 for ONE front right wheel bearing replacement with hub assembly on a 2017 Nissan Maxima. Absolutely insane. I called Firestone in Mt Pleasant and they quoted me $475. Needless to say I went to Firestone instead. You're charging almost a grand for this? This is how you trash your name and business. It doesn't even cost that much to do on certain luxury line vehicles. It was insulting to be given that price especially when I made an appointment with them. Do not recommend coming here. read more

Strangely enough this place as no reviews on Yelp. The Google ratings on this place though are excellent, and for good reason. Everyone there is incredibly friendly. They are busy because they are so good at what they do. I went in there thinking there was something major wrong with the steering of our van. I took the mechanic for a test drive with me and showed him what I meant. He then took it by himself to see if he could replicate it. He brought it back to the shop, did some inspections and took it out again. He couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. When he looked at it the second time he finally figured out what it was. He brought me back into the shop to show me and told me that although I could get it fixed, there was no point in wasting four hours sitting here to do it. He informed me that the problem is going to get worse, but it is not really a safety issue at the moment. Back at the register they told me exactly what was wrong with it, wrote it down on the receipt for me, and told me that when I do eventually take it somewhere what to ask for, how long it will take, and how much $ it'll be. After about an hour's worth of service, they didn't charge me anything. While we were there, my girlfriend and I met the owner of the shop's brother, who runs an eco-tour in the area. He invited us out there for a free trip because his boat wasn't full as of that morning. How awesome is that? Gotta love these guys. read more

My water pump went out and they had kept up with all the past repairs when I had not reminding me it was under warranty and I didn't have to pay anything. And on top of that, they loaned me a car for the night charging only what I used in gas! I love East Cooper Auto Pros bc: 1. They tell me upfront and in lay terms what is wrong, how much it will cost, and all my options; 2. They strategize the work so that it doesn't cost double (I don't have a ton of money and drive a beater which has a wish list of needed repairs); 3. This is a long overdue review. My husband and I were visiting the area when our car stopped on the street just about 1 block from East Cooper Auto Pros. The Kangaroo quick shop cashier and a local mechanic in the store both recommended East Cooper (the mechanic came out to our car and gave us an idea of what needed to be done.) The mechanics and the owner at East Cooper were very helpful, kind and honest with us. They had to order a part and helped us find a rental car and recommended a place to stay overnight. They finished the work several hours before the promised time and we were back to sightseeing before lunch the next morning. They used NAPA parts and gave us the guarantee which is easily honored in PIttsburgh should the need arise. read more

in novi 2014 i had an o@ sensor replaced in my 2007 hyundai tiburon, i had ad the first one replaced at firestone mt pleasanr sc . not only were theu more expensive but in feb 2015 i had the 60,000 mile checkup done at firestone mt pleasant sc, (the check engine light had come on again) for the 4th time-since i bought the car in april 2014). i had firestone check out everything!!! 3 days later the check engine light was on again ! i brought it back to firestone, the o2 sensor put in by east cooper auto repair for $475.00 was bad had to be replaced!!! since firestone mt pleasant missed it in theor checkup they are replacing it for free. no schleping across town to east cooper and debating the issue of who's at fault, no charge for evaluation, no hassle.. i called east cooper that's what i would have gone through for the warranty. tell you what in my 50 years of driving mostly sports cars, i've rarely used dealer service. i usually found a ttustworthy mechanic. well east cooper is not that trustworthy mechanic to do business in the long run !!! read more
