Hay Tire Pros was an amazing car repair shop when it was family owed. It was sold to a large investment corporation, now I've had two terrible experiences with the new ownership and staffing. No one answers the phone, or returns your call. My car needed a brake part that was unavailable nationwide, I asked for the part number and spent time trying to find a solution. I found an amazing parts fabricator, I had to pick up the broken part and Uber it to the fabricator, Uber to pick up the part, and take it to Hay Tire Pros. A month later my car was chiming with brake light and message that the brake fluid was low. I was on my way for an urgent appointment. I called them at 7am, 3 calls, no answer, left an urgent message. They never returned my call. Drove in a panic to an auto parts store, purchased the brake fluid, there was zero brake fluid in the car. I believe they replaced the part I'd had fabricated and did not add brake fluid. I had a terrible experience here. I ended up paying for a tire that they never put on my car. I had a nail in my tire that I brought in to be fixed. The nail was in a spot that couldn't be patched so they had to replace the whole tire. THEY NEVER PUT THE TIRE ON MY CAR. Unknowingly, I drove off the lot with the same tire I brought it in with the nail in it!! I left without a new tire. Upon realizing, I went back and asked for a refund FOR THE TIRE I PAID FOR BUT THEY NEVER PUT IT ON MY CAR. On July 2, 2025 I went to pickup my 2012 Nissan Titan and after paying $1699.75 for the work I noticed a soccer ball sized dent on the left front fender. Long story short, Will assured me that they would take care of the damage either through their insurance or out of pocket. He even sent me to Better Collision to get a repair estimate. Since then, over a month ago, they've blocked my phone number and won't return my messages. Despicable treatment to someone who has spent $2300 with them this year and several hundred in years past. I am beyond furious with Hay Tire Pros and will NEVER return. I made an appointment for my car, and when I called 15 minutes before closing to check on the status, they hadn't even started on it. They suggested I come back the next day. Fine, but then it gets worse--WAY worse. They called me back to tell me the technician had accidentally put my keys in his pocket and drove home with them. She told me that the technician lived far and wouldn't be able to turn around to return my keys. I'm livid at this point. All I wanted was my keys back so I could go to work the next day, especially since my house key was on that ring. Then, 20 minutes later, they call again to say they "found" the key behind a toolbox. Great, but when I said I was 10 minutes away, she couldn't even wait 10 minutes after closing to give me my keys. Instead, she suggested just leaving them on my front left tire. UNBELIEVABLE. The sheer disregard for my time, my car, and my property is appalling. This is absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with, and I wouldn't trust these clowns with my car ever again. Was sent a text about discounts on AC maintenance. Remembered a few years ago when they worked on my engine. I took the car halfway home and noticed the AC wasn't working. I turned around and brought it back to the shop only to be belittled and told I didn't know how to use the AC. A few weeks later my car blew up bc the coolant line was disconnected. They were horrible to work with after and tried to claim they had no documentation of my service. They will overcharge females. Hate this company ugh. read more

In the past I gave a 5 star rating but had work done yesterday and it was the worst experience ever. Made an appointment to get my tires rotated which normally took 20 minutes. Last night I waited for 3 hours for someone to do this simple task. What's bad is I overheard some of the techs saying they didn't want to work on my Jeep. Called ar 1:00 to check the status and was told that we were 4th in line. Called back at 4 and was told that we were 6th in line and it would not be finished today. After I picked up my car, Hay was my next call. I told them what I needed and he found exactly what I wanted without breaking the bank... no up-selling, no extra services. It was a Friday afternoon and he told me that if brought it by before closing time, I could have the car back by noon on Saturday. I did just that and he delivered as promised. I'm new to the area so I didn't have a go-to mechanic. I tried one other place prior to Hay Tire and that was a mistake. I didn't like the way that they diagnosed my cars' problem and I felt like I was just a number to them. Shortly, after dealing with them, I hopped on Yelp to find a different mechanic and I stumbled upon Hay Tire. So the next day, I took my car to Hay for the same problem. The problem turned out to be a nightmare due to the way the parts were made and also some unforeseeable corrosion problems. The entire time my car was at Hay, I dealt with Greg and even though my cars' issue was pretty uncommon, he grabbed the bull by the horns and completed the job in a timely manner. This was definitely one of those times where I was losing hope and contemplated getting a new car. But thanks to Greg and his team, my car is running at peak performance and I have absolutely no worries. They also have an excellent warranty on the job they did. To add to that, their hours are better than most other mechanics in the area, they have a large parking lot, and a decent sized waiting room. Completely unprofessional and unable to set honest and accurate expectations that resulted in being stranded and unable to pick up children from camp. It took over 4 hours to get two tires changed and they charged me $50 more per tire then quoted. We ordered tires ahead and when we arrived they said oops we forgot to order. They assured me if I waited they would get the tires and I would be on time to pick up my children however they were 90 minutes past the time I needed to leave leaving me with no car and new to town trying to find someone to pick up my kids. They acted as if it was comical. I will say they did fulfill my request to drive me to a local coffee shop as I would need to wait and they gave me $150 off. A "sorry" was thrown out as I walked out the door. Will never ever use them again and am shocked by their unprofessional behavior, customer care and respect for people in general. read more

I brought my newer (10K miles) model Silverado 2500HD into them with a moderate to fast leak in my driver's side front tire. The truck had a slight (and I mean slight) shimmy at around 80 mph, so I asked them to check the balance on all tires and the alignment. They called me upon completion of the alignment, balance and they rotated the tires as well, but said they could not find the leak. I had a leak so bad that I would have to add air every 45 minutes while driving and since it was late in the day, I said I would pick it up in the AM to ensure there was no leak. I received a call the next morning stating that I had a bad valve stem and that was the source of the leak but it was repaired. Fast forward a couple weeks and when I finally had to drive on the highway, it has a very noticeable shimmy around 60 mph and when slightly correcting course even down to 45 mph. I am scheduled to go to south FL in the AM so I took it by the shop as I am concerned that I may cause further damage with it driving this way. I was told that they did everything right and that even his best guy was on it (remember they could not find the leak on a tire that was low when I took it in). It was then suggested that it may be something else on the truck (the one with only 10k miles and no symptoms prior to them working on it). I was told they could not look at it until next week (it was close to their Saturday closing time) even though they knew I am going on a long trip tomorrow. As a business owner myself, I like to use locally owned businesses because I usually get a little bit extra for the higher prices (and yes they are higher than most of the competition). I have taken 3 cars there in the last few months and recommended them to others as well. I hope the owner reads this and salvages the rest of his/her customer base as I am gone! read more

Honest people and fair prices. If you watch TV you would think there is only one tire dealer in town but Hay Tire is everything they are and more. Service is great and for the most part quick. It is a busy place so be prepared to drop your car off, they do offer a ride service locally. A friend recommended me to Hay tire and I in turn have referred them out to a few friends as well. Earlier I posted a low score on Hay's site, due to an issue that was not addressed, as it should have been. A few days ago, David Hay called me and we have since worked the issue out and I will continue to work with Hay and the garage next door they purchased. David and I are natives of this area and the problem had apparently not reached him, but when it did, he called me immediately. We had a great discussion and since we are, as David put it, 'cut from the same cloth', we want to do business. I want him and his employees to support me and I want to do the same for them. Communication is the key. I appreciate David's call and we will continue to have a great relationship. Both our families have been here forever and I love doing business locally. Unbelievable customer service, I called in the morning around 8:30 as I had noticed a nail in my tire the night prior after closing time. Luis answered quickly and with a cheerful tone despite the early hour. I explained my situation and he went through the steps of evaluating my options with me. Within minutes he had determined that a patch wouldn't be sufficient and I needed a new tire, I told him I'd like to match the tire to the other 3 on my vehicle which I figured would prove a bit more difficult as it's not a tire they carry normally. Luis had the tire on a truck from Columbia just shortly after I told him what I wanted. Tire arrived late afternoon and was mounted on the rim shortly after which Luis gave me a call letting me know. I pulled in just short of closing time (5:15ish) and without the blink of an eye Luis was just as cheerful and ready to help as he was that morning. Tire was put back on my vehicle and I drove off within 5 minutes. Save yourselves the trouble of a sub par shop and just come here. They get it done right and in a timely manner with more than fair prices!! Will only be returning here from now on. read more
