JIFFY LUBE'S SYSTEM CAUSED THOUSANDS IN DAMAGE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS! If I could give zero stars, I would. Jiffy Lube's flawed system lists an incorrect oil filter as "compatible" with my vehicle, and their refusal to take responsibility has cost me over $4,600 in repairs. THE PROBLEM: Their system wrongly lists an oil filter that is NOT compatible with the 2011 Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi, OF2222-MO10060. The correct filter is Mopar MO-899 or one similar in size and function. This incorrect filter was more than half the size of the OEM filter (see photos) and they used it in multiple oil changes, leading to severe oil pressure issues and catastrophic engine damage. The technicians followed their system, but the real failure lies with Jiffy Lube and their inaccurate parts database. HOW JIFFY LUBE HANDLED IT: Refused to acknowledge their mistake, even when I provided proof from a certified mechanic who confirmed the incorrect filter caused my engine issues (damaged lifters, camshaft, oil pressure switch, starter and 100% blocked oil screen from blown filter paper remnants requiring five oil flushes to clear). Ignored clear evidence proving the damage was caused by their system's error. Denied my claim completely, leaving me with thousands in repair bills due to THEIR negligence. DO NOT TRUST JIFFY LUBE! If they can't even get something as basic as an oil filter right, why would you trust them with your vehicle? Their refusal to take accountability proves that they don't care about their customers--only profits. SPREAD THE WORD! I'm warning everyone: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I'll be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, Attorney General, Federal Trade Commission, and consumer protection agencies until Jiffy Lube is held accountable for their reckless negligence. UPDATE Jiffy Lube customer service already opened a claim and Andrey Tuur ( the District Manager) contacted me just because that is the official process. He then ghosted me and ignored multiple follow up emails asking for status. I had to call back to Jiffy Lube customer service to be told that my claim was denied. I sent him a text after the fact asking for the denial in writing and still no response. I believe this response now from the "owner" is just a formality and an attempt to appear compassionate. I need actionable, monetary reimbursement results to make this situation right. read more

I have used this Jiffy Lube off and on for the last twenty years for standard vehicle maintenance. They have always provided quality, reasonably priced, and quick oil changes, and radiator flushes. If anything, what prevents me from going more often, is that I wish they could rotate the tires, since this is usually part of a standard maintenance schedule. I purchased tires from this shop in July 2023 with no issues at all. Today, I had a low tire pressure alert. I drove from Chicago to return to the best Jiffy Lube I have been to, and once again they exceeded expectations. If I could leave 100 stars, I would. I've been coming to this Jiffy Lube for years and I have to say, Rick is the absolute best. Everyone on this team is amazing at what they do and honest with you. I came in today for an oil change and to get my tires aligned and without even asking, they told me about the deal with $20 off if you do both of those services. I also explained that I had recently had steering issues and I was concerned about it. Rick immediately got in my car and told me he would drive it around the lot to inspect what was wrong. Then he spent time to explain to me everything that I needed to do, and didn't send me a grocery list of other unnecessary things that could've been wrong on my car: It's hard sometimes to find a mechanic that you can trust, but no doubt in my mind, these guys are the best in town, and so professional and nice. Rick is the man! Not only does he do incredible work but he loves what he does. I have a jeep Cherokee after taking it to three different other body shops, they told me my jeep was missing a wheel lock key, and they could not do the work until I had the key from the dealership. I have been going here for years with all of our cars, and it's always been a good experience. But there's a new manager Rick who is awesome, very helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant to everyone. He goes above and beyond. I was there for a while due to my car is an older one so I saw a lot of interactions with Rick and customers. Charles was awesome. Nice guys. Very quick However. Not compliant with mask mandate. 2 kept them on, the rest either the mask was around their chin or nose was out. And while in MY car touching MY things mask was off. While talking to me about what I need mask was off. I can't say"pull your mask up" more times. I work in healthcare---you might want to protect yourself just like I protect you. I mean--you breathe from your LUNGS even when you breathe through your nose genius. I just can't. I went in here for an oil change which was done quick and easy with no wait. After the oil change they informed me I need rear brakes and offered to put together a quote. I declined and let them know my friend is a mechanic so I will go to him for work. Upon going to my friend to get my brakes changed he told me I have another 20,000 miles on my brakes and changing them would be a total waste of money at this point. Be careful at these quick service places they will always try to add on things that are either unnecessary or simple fixes you can do yourself. I can't say enough GREAT things about this location. I've been a customer of theirs since I moved into the area about a year ago. The manager Rick has always helped me out whenever I stopped by and gave me complete information about the processes the costs and what would be done. TODAY though, Rick and the staff at this Jiffy Lube went WAY ABOVE! I had my alternator replaced here last December, but today it went out when I was driving in Arlington Heights. I called up got Rick on the phone and explained my issue. He DROVE all the way to me in the parking lot I was stuck in and tried to jump my car. When that didn't work he took me in his car back to the Jiffy Lube tried to get my car towed back. When he couldn't get a tow truck to come, he and his technician drove to my car and FIXED it outside in the hot weather. Drove it back to me at Jiffy Lube, and covered it all for me under the warranty. He didn't have to do any of this to help me today. I am unbelievably impressed with the service I have always received here and couldn't recommend a more thorough group of professional mechanics. I was on my way home from work when suddenly, my oil light came on & I was feeling a "drag" in the engine (which I thought was weird since I just had an oil change a week ago (somewhere else). I asked them to just fill up my oil. When their manager, Rick called me over to show me that where I took the car before, didn't screw on the filter right and that it came off & dumped all the oil in the car! He told me that not to worry, he was going to put a new filter on & fill up my oil at no charge. He just wanted to help (2 more miles down the road & my engine would have "locked up". This was the 2nd time that Oil Express near my house did something that could have permanently damaged my car, and I will never go there again. This is the place I usually come to take care of my car. Unlike a lot of other places, there are no heavy handed sales techniques here. They make recommendations and try their best with the prices, but there's no pressure to do anything. To be honest, there have been times where they said, "You should do X" (and they show me why) "but you don't have to do it right now." No other place I have been to has been this honest. Went to get an oil change on my lunch break expecting it to be busy, but I was in and out in 20 minutes. The customer service was great, and I appreciated the "Signature Service"--turns out my air filter was super dirty and full of leaves, which they showed me and then offered to replace. I know that is something I could do myself for much less money, but I'm lazy when it comes to car stuff (clearly, since my air filter was that bad), so I was willing to pay more for the convenience. My old oil change place supposedly did "full-service," but never showed me my air filter, and also never informed me that Toyota says you can go 5,000 miles between changes instead of the typical 3,000, which I learned today at the Jiffy Lube. Less important but a nice perk: they have a very nice bench outside with planters of flowers, which was a very pleasant waiting area on a nice summer day (the inside waiting area is pretty small). They got us in very quickly, checked for leaks and filled our tires. We were on our way. They did not charge us and the guys who helped us out were very friendly and polite. read more

Went there a few months ago to get my oil changed for a roadtrip. There were a few customers waiting, but they got my car in after 5 minutes. The mechanics worked pretty quickly. They had people "under ground" who apparently stays down there to do all the oil changes from underneath. Cool. Everything seemed to be in order, until one of the mechanics came over and told me I needed to get my air filter changed. I was in a hurry to leave, so I told him I would do it next time. He persisted, even though I keep telling him that I have to go and will take care of it when I come back. He seemed very unhappy when he walked away. After I paid and was ready to leave, I saw him walk up to another lady and told her the same thing. Then I remembered hearing him telling someone else when I first walked in. I'm not a mechanic by any means, but the whole experience just made me feel like it's a bit of a sales tactic. They were having a buy one get one free deal, so they sent me a free oil change a few weeks later. But I never went back. read more

I normally take my car to dealer to be serviced and for oil changes, but I was in a pinch and was one day from taking a long road trip and the dealer couldn't take me. I walked in to Jiffy Lube for an oil change and the mechanic discovered an oil leak which he says should have been caught by the dealer on my last visit - the following week I took it back to the dealership and told them what Jiffy Lube pointed out and was able to get it fixed with my warranty (which by the way was miles from expiring) - so glad I took my car here! I had my oil change with them in the past most of the time and the last one was a bad experience. Just after 1 day after the oil changed, my indicator light was on, smell burnt oil and a leak. My transmission almost got fried. I went to Carmax to have them check and they confirmed my suspicion. They didn't want to fixed it yet and so they called Jiffy Lube to bring oil to refill my tank. I complained and told them what happened. Jiffy gave 5 complimentary oil change for me to use in the future for the inconvenience and I told them "NO thanks". I will never go back for them to have my business. I am using Carmax in Golf Road now for service and the price is very reasonable. I don't recommend this place.... go to Carmax instead it's not too far from there anyway. You don't want the experience I had with them, trust me. read more

So I've learned over the past year, cars (older ones specifically) run pretty simple. Some suction here, pressure there, make sure nothing has a leak or a crack, change the oil etc... But there's always a sound you hear that unless you are a car guy makes you think your beater is about to be a expensive paperweight. Thanks to Jeff and the guys at this Jiffy Lube, I'm more knowledgeable when it comes to how my car works, know that it's gonna get me around safely and know what needs to be done in the near future. I never thought of JL when thinking I should have my car checked quick but man am I glad I came back later to get that clunking checked.
