This ended up requiring me to come back the following day, which was definitely inconvenient. That being said, I really appreciated the way they handled the situation in the end. They acknowledged that this had not been a good customer experience and chose not to charge me for the work they performed. I thought that showed integrity and a genuine effort to make things right. I will return to this business and I have no hesitation in recommending them to my friends and family. Things don't always go perfectly, and mistakes happen. What matters to me is how a business responds when they do. I brought my car in because low tire pressure light was on. When I first walked in a lady greeted…read moreme and she took my keys when I asked her how long away was she stated that she had just gotten back from running to the bank and so she didn't know, but that she would check. I never got an actual time estimate. An hour and a half later I go up to ask how much longer it was going to be. A gentleman went and looked at the queue and came back and said it would be another hour and a half to two hours. I stated that I had already been waiting for an hour and a half. Another gentleman who I am assuming to be the manager stated that he was going to go figure out what was going on and see what he could do. When he came back, he stated that he moved my car to the front of the line so that way it would get started. About a half hour to 45 minutes later technician comes in and tells me that there were two nails in the tire and one of them was in a gray area and was not holding pressure anymore. he stated that they were gonna try again, but that this was not gonna be a permit fix. He gave me a quote on three different types of tires. And stated that I should replace it. He went back and continue trying to fix the tire. He got it fixed. By that point I had been at the tire place for 4 1/2 hours. If I had known the weight was gonna be so long, I would not have stayed. It was a waste of my time. Thank you to the gentleman who moved my car up, but I believe they need to come up with a better system in terms of checking in cars. I feel like if they would've had an electronic system where I could see the progress on the car or even just see how long the estimate was gonna take. I would've been a lot more informed. Overall, it was a bad experience. I contemplated getting my tires through them, but after this experience, I declined and went to a different tire shop. I would not go there at all ever again.

At no point did the shop proactively contact us -- we had to reach out every single time just to get basic updates. Even then, the information we were given did not match the actual timeline, and things repeatedly took longer than what we were told. To make matters worse, we were never notified when the car was finished. We only discovered it was done because we showed up in person, where it was found sitting in the parking lot. If we hadn't gone in ourselves, there's no telling how long it would have stayed there. We were also explicitly told we would receive a discount for the inconvenience, but when we checked out, no discount was applied and nothing was said about it. Between the lack of communication, misleading timelines, holding our vehicle overnight without consent or notice, and failing to honor what was promised, this shop showed a complete lack of professionalism and accountability. We paid a significant amount of money and received poor service in return. I will not be coming back and do not recommend this place to anyone.

My daughter went in for an oil change, Grease Monkey charged her for an extra quart. The next day…read moreshe was complaining her car was blowing white smoke when starting. Googled the issue and top hit was oil overfilled. Checked the oil level and it was 1/3 of the way up the stick or about 5 inches . I took it back and they drained the extra out saying some cars take more even for the same engine which was puzzling. Took home checked the level and it was still 1/5 up the stick or 2 inches. Took it back again and they redid the oil change showing me the level before I left. No more smoking. Fast forward two weeks, my son in law took his Audi A3 for an oil change to the same Grease Monkey in Clinton. I told him to tell them if his car needs more than 5 quarts which is the base price to say we'll add the rest at home. The base price for full synthetic was $89. When they finished and he went to pay they asked for $135. They said they used upgraded oil, filter, and whatever else. Nothing was told to him prior for the upsell. They just did the work. This Grease Monkey has been our go to up to this point. My daughter played soccer with the owner's granddaughter so I'm adding this review in hopes they see this and can make some policy or personnel changes. Until then I'll take my business elsewhere.
